(From Mata Bhaag Kaur Jagrati Dal) A Sakhi on Guru Ji's Darshan In the time of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Jee, there was a Gursikh who lived in a poor little hut. This Gursikh was blind and had a lot of Pyaar for Guru Ji. As he couldn't travel anywhere he would ask people to go to see Guru Ji and then wait for there return to hear of Guru Jis well being. He would ask them what does my Guru Ji look like, How brave is he, what weapons does he keep, what stories does he tell, and each would reply "I cannot explain with words." One night he could not sleep, he kept thinking of Guru Ji and how wonderful he was. He longed so much to see the beautiful Mukh of Guru Mahar…

I'm a Hindu, but I'm fascinated by the Sikh religion. Please tell me about your religion. What is the underlying philosophy and beliefs of your religion? Do Sikhs believe in Karma, Dharma, reincarnation? Do Sikhs worship the Paramatman or the Guru? Must one be born a Sikh, or can one become one? Thx

http://www.sikhnet.com/sikhnet/youth.nsf/3...33;OpenDocument Hello, This is the third time i'm trying to get a messages through (i'm so technically challenged!), so forgive me for getting right to my state of confusion: It concerns the response given to the posting entitled "To take kirpan off or not" posted 01/30/04. I was somewhat caught off guard by the response that it was OK for an amritdhari female to remove hair from her face, when it is not for a male. I understand that Guruji gave us the five K's for identification reasons and to stand up for the truth, and having hair on one's face is more apparent on males and hence wouldn't really matter if a female remove…

waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ke fateh!! Pyarai Sangat Jeeo, I would like to express my sadness and anger at what I have recently heard about so called "sikhi-related" valentines dinner and dance held on wednesday 11th Feb. There were many Singhs and Singhnia there and they had a "good time by letting their hair out" one can only assume that they danced around (which they did) as there were Djs present, I myself obviously did not go but a friend of mine did. THis saddens me soo much because when I heard who was there, the word "hypocrisy" instantly came to my mind, These same people condone dancing etc and yet they are quite happy to do so within an environment …
