Looking to start a residential school with two goals - (i)Provide underprivileged kids with a childhood and education (ii) Teach these kids gurmat, sangeet and shastart vidya with a view to prepare future parcharaks - ones who will help entire humanity (not just sikhs) unlock the peace and joy that is forever within us. I have created a facebook group , please join (https://www.facebook.com/groups/402189280239697/)- Feel free to add your friends - please spread the word , also lets start idea pooling as to how make this work at scale - my vision is at least one or more schools in every city/town/village where we have sizable sikh population. Currently our…

We had a big discussion related to this guy on this forum but i was not personally aware of this guy at that time. So much about him in news, this guys is a proper messed up. Did our youngsters in uk follow him? i hope and doubt that is the case... He is nothing but a groomer and holding quran while in jail. what a mess.. I disconnected with social media for the past few years and today i am finding out that how Influencer of wrong stuff is creeping in our young folk mind. I just couldn't believe on how our kids are making such disgusting stuff as norm now. I know it is kalyug but not that extreme level of kalyug

i believe you can take the message/teachings from other faiths and apply them to betters one own Sikhi...but i have a question which i know no one here is a Christian but maybe someone can help When on the cross, Jesus Christ said 'My God, Why hast thou forsaken me'...does anyone have a deeper appreciation to what Jesus meant when he said this? The reason i ask is, somethings unless understood in the context in which they were said, can be misunderstood (this includes Gurbani too).

A Catholic woman posted that some Sikh woman started having adulterous relations with the Catholic's husband. I posted: Then some anonymous "giani" replies: My response: Where did you get the idea that Sikhs are not supposed to be repsonsible before the sangat? I'm guessing you view Sikhism as merely an individual endeavor. (If not, reply with what you meanwhen you think Sikhs have no responsibility before the Sangat.) That's not Guru Nanak Dev ji's conception of religion. (I do not want to get sidetracked on terminology of religion vs. dharam. If you want to call it dharam, fine.) You do know that Guru Nanak ji created a panth, ri…

What we already know is now so official even the Hindus can't deny it although the India loving Sikhs will still erase it from their mind. Some of them (India supporting Sikhs) still hang on to outdated notions of the position of a Sikh, not realising what the reality actually is. For example, they often like to quote these 3 misconcptions: Misconception: Punjab is the richest state in India. We're doing great there. Fact: Punjab stopped being the richest state in India many many years ago. Over the last 5 or 6 years it has been slipping lower and lower at an alarming rate and is now at a danger of slipping into the lower half of the table. Misconception:…

If Sikhism is ever to spread beyond the 20 million Punjabis who are Sikhs then Sikhism will have to change dramatically. For example, the discarding of the archaic beard and turban will be a major step in marketing the Sikh faith. Since the vast majority of people around the world (including Sikhs) do not wear beards and turbans Sikhism will be in a great spot to get rid of them permanently. Besides, why would anyone interested in becoming a Sikh want to wear them anyway???????

This is for those who may be interested, I have had the opportunity to write a number of books recently, initially they were for sponsors of the podcasts but due to demand I have decided to put some of them out on a self publication site. Slowly they will increase in number with the Sarkutavali Teeka and Gagar Cho sagar also being added in June and August respetively. At the moment there are three books available to purchase which are the 'Sahaskriti and Gatha Teeka by Mahant Ganesha Singh', 'Matra by Baba Sri Chand Ji' and 'The Jap Ji Sahib Katha 01 - Mul Mantra Katha by Sant Gurbachan Singh Bhindrawale' They are all on the following link https://www.lulu.com/sh…
