I think this is well worth watching. Note that the subject of the documentary is an academic and not some pot head.

Just had this poster passed around amongst Sangat in the Midlands and Up North... Not sure how this has been allowed to happen and continue? Are there any actual active Panthic Sikhs or groups in Southall, Slough, Wembley, Ilford, Hounslow etc? Why the wait for a protest? Why are we not just going in as previous dialogue methods have failed? Any context would be great as we had a similar issue in Birmingham once and nobody waited for an organised protest. We are looking to drive up tonight, but not entirely sure why local Sikhs are waiting?

has anyone noticed that Guru Hargobind Sahib jis sword/tegha has a carving of kali on it. This is the same tegha that guru ji killed painde khan with. Right under the hilt of the sword is a image of a tiger pouncing, tigers pounce onto their prey when hunting, and above the image of the tiger is a image of kali. I'm guessing this is because kali is associated with war and destroying evil. close up detail of the tiger with Persian? writing above it kali

Just finished watching this. Bhai Sahib is an inspiration, his account is special considering how from the age of 6 onwards he had the taang to learn about different faiths, and here he talks about his upbringing, the initial challenges he faced from as he puts it 'staunch' Catholic mother and school, lack of support from committee Sikhs in Jakarta and the affection from Gursikhs in Singapore, to finally having the chance of taking Amrit.

Why are people afraid of ghosts? 1) They prove death is not the end. 2) They’re supernatural. 3) They have interesting stories, many films are based on them (like Ghost) as well as books. 4) Before the age of science they were very popular.

exempts turban-wearing Sikh motorcyclists from wearing helmets. You may also want to see how your beloved right-wing bedfellows feel about various other exemptions that have been granted to Sikhs. Maybe you will get a reality check.

This has probably come up before, but just wanted to share my experience. So I have been widowed for four years now again through and still going through the loss of my wife I decided to start looking to potentially get married again, so I signed up to shadi, asaind8, asainsinglesolution and seeking. I'm not the the tallest guy in the world just below 5"7, but athletic, average looking, have a good job etc , but blimey the boxes you have to tick for even getting someone to talk to you is absurd even if the lass is in her 40s and has kids. They all want a fair skinned, non turban, 6 foot who earns over 100k when did we turn into kalay, I have been watching …

Been married for 9 years now, have 1 child. Ended up getting an arranged marriage with a mental chick.from India. I highly recommend sardaras from canada, uk, please if your born there, don't get married in India. I have always been positive perosn, unfortunately I married someone who basically destroyed my mental sanity, if it wasn't for my son, I probably would have ended myself. Unfortunately it your a wealthy person, it's not easy to get a divorce. I have worked so hard for my son.

I think we have all come across this quote from Guru Nanak Ji. " If your a Hindu be a good Hindu. if your a Muslim be a good Muslim". But what is the true meaning of this quote? I've heard some say that this means Guru Nanak is saying all religions are good and lead to the same one God for all. Hence there is no need to convert to any religion . Just stay in your own one. But I have also heard alternative meanings for the quote. Some say it means Guru Ji is only saying be the best Hindu and Muslim you can be. Ie. follow your own religion correctly and not the first meaning I gave. So which is it?
