In my office we all friendz eat together... they all know i m amritdhari so before having food themselves they say u take first lil taste it then we will have.. i have the food in seprate plate.... WJKK WJKF i know this topic has been raised a lot of times in this forum. but i really want to ask why is waxing actually not allowed for us as sikhs. i am a sikh. all my life i have alwayz abided with everything that a sikh is supposed to do. but since school because of waxing i have been denied so many things. i was very good at badminton but could not participate in the competitions because my legs were not waxed. i used to wear skirt as it was the uniform, but then was alwayz made fun of because of this all through my school life. when i enetred college boys around me started teasing me because of my upper lips and body hair. they did not even feel like talking to …

Wheneve I'm reading/ listening to Gurbani, and a particular part gets to me, it feels as though I get goosebumps everywhere. It's an uncomfortable feeling, like a sudden rush of wind has caused your hairs to stand on end. I can feel that in ny hair topo, under my dastar, which is perhaps strange. Like you do when it suddenly gets cold, I shudder from the feeling. Anyone else have this? I just assumed its a normal bodily reaction - when something makes you get goosebumps. I'm just curious.

First of all Sat Shri AKal Waheguru Ji khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh I just wanted to ask my Sikh brothers and sisters whether Beef is prohibited in Sikhism or not.I heard that Sikhs don't worship cow although they respect Hindu culture and don't eat beef just because Hindu's also don't Also Animal worshipping is rejected in Sikhism although some sikhs respect Hawk or Falcon as is it is associated with Sikhism but they don't worship it. But Cow isn't considered a mother in Sikh Religion neither Sikhs worship any Animals. So My Question is Can a Sikh eat beef?I v heard that sikhs can eat Jhatka Meat not halaal meat?? UR VIEWS

Leaving aside Guru ji, the general question of taking afeem (opium) in limited quantities for war/medical wounds is simply unproblematic. When you go to the hospital, they give you morphine. What do you think morphine is? It's an opiate. Even codeine (cough syrup) is an opiate! Ever had a cough? Granted, it is against Gurmat to take opium or other drugs for the fun of it. -
Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources. Well, you'd be surprised at their resourcefulness. A final possibility is he's a weak Sikh who was asked a question by a non-Sikh and now he's suddenly feverishly wondering where it's "written" that you can't marry a young child. To the latter, I would say, you're looking in the wrong spot. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well.
