WJJK WJJF sangat jeo this is sound to sound weird but a few days back while doing Japji Sahib, a desire flashed in my heart - that i should write japji sahib with my own hands. I think my handwriting is decent enough, but i was thinking of writing in calligraphic style, coz to be honest, the gutka prints can be a lot better and i am just not convinced the print and typesetting and everything does justice to the beautiful words of gurbani (not that i can do any better but hey i have a desire to try! ). is this absurd? :S im actually thinking of getting the best paper available, make my own quill and write in 'puratan' style. i must be crazy! but anyway, my point is - IF …

Writing Gurbani From Memory! 1 2

I read somewhere that during the Misal period, there was a very charrdi kala bibi who wrote Panj Granthi from memory and this Punj Granthi was in high demand at that time. At present, while doing paath, we seem to ignore the aunkarrs or siharis on the last alphabet. Does this mean that during the Misal period singhs used to pronouce these aunkarss and siharis and used to memorize gurbani in a way that it can be written down from memory ? Thanks

he says So Sahib Sad Sdaa Hajooray Andha Jaanat Ta Kao Dooray shabad is actually Jo Thakur Sad Sdaa Hajooray Taa Kao Andha Jaanat Dooray Who gave him right to change Gurbani? Why are Hindus allowed to mess with Gurbani? Just because they rule India?

Xferring Farmland From Punjab --> Usa 1 2 3

This question is directed at farmers (both nri's and Indian farmers). Well I'm born and raised in the States, but I have a strong relationship with Punjab and visit often (as of late). I was pondering whether it is more practical to sell most of the farmland in Punjab and buy more in USA and keep some farmland in Punjab to keep your roots established. For example if one acre in Punjab is 5 dollars and one acre in USA is 1 dollar, according to this ratio, would it be more logical to buy land in USA? It would seem so but Punjab land prices are going up almost exponentially and aren't stopping, I am scared that eventually someone may try to "Nap" or occupy/steal the zameen a…
