I have started listening to japji sahib vichar sagar deep divine meanings of gurbani by gyani thakur singh ji which required gyani ji close to 80 hours to do the full japji sahib katha which is exteremly deep. This is for actual seekers who are willing to learn depth of gurbani. Can i also make a request to admin to make this sticky post? Thank you in advance. you can listen to vast deptness of japji sahib - http://www.gurmatveechar.com/katha.php?k=gts So I have managed with my limited buddi to translate just 1 file out of 81 audio files by gyani discourse in punjabi into my broken english..translations are not fully carbonn copy. I have translated whatever will be exteremely helpful to sangat. Mind you, in course of translation, i also have to make sure this stuff does not confuse the sangat..so i have kept it simple. I have probably have made enough mistakes while translating bhul chuk maph. 1st tape covers vast knowledge of "ikongkar". Here is the actual vichar of what ikongkar means: Sidhas told guru ji - in vedas- there is aom, why did you add "ik" "ong" "kar" and made it "ikongkar". Guru Ji said - aom means trinity (rajo, tamo, sato guni), is made of akar, okar, makar- akar is rajoguni represents bhrama(creator of world), okar is satogun represents vishnu(preserver) and makar is tamogun repersents shivji(destroyer). Guru ji asked sidhas, in this aom, show me where is vahiguroo who is the creator of these three dieties??? Sidhas all went in silence. Guru ji further explained - Ik represents advait sidhant (non-duality)and it also break rules like - bhramin caste can only recite aom/ong, khatri can only listen to it but not recite and vaish/shadur caste cannot recite aom or listen. Guru Ji further asked sidhs if wives of bhramin, khatri, vaish/shadur have right to recite/listen aom? Sidh replied- no even they don't. Guru ji replied and said - then the aom is only for bhramins..that's why i have added- Ik in front. Ong represent combination of aom - akar,okar, makar- Rajoguni, ,Satogun, Tamogun. Kar represents god in nirgun roop (non-existent, inaccessible). Kar is actual karan(cause)/karaj(task) roop of ong. God being in nirgun gave nourishment/power to bhrama (deity) to create this world, vishnu to perserve and shiv ji to destroy. that's why i have added- Ik infront which is advait (non-duality), ong - resosance(hound) which creates trinity and kar at the end to represent - God's actual roop - Nirgun(non-existent, inaccesiable, agam, agochar) and made - Ikongkar like as if rain pours every-where..it' belongs to everyone...anyone can recite it regardless of race, religion, creed, status... - men, women, children..anyone..because we actually reciting god's name ultimately...no one has monoply over god. Guru ji further told sidhas that we only recite one's god name with no duality, sing his praises only, only talk about one, only worships one, only sevak of one. Iko Jap iKO Salaihhe || Kar Ardh Bin Paichayan, Chaauro Ko Samadho Jo Ongkar painchayan || When we recite Ikongkar...it takes our surat(concentration) to upper realms naturally. Yogi sidhas usually recite aom aom to reach upper realms but since they are reciting aom they get darshan(vision) of three devta's - bhram, vishnu, shiv instead of higher supreme reality. recitation is not complete. It's only complete if one recites kar with aom or ikong because when we recite kar. It takes us to upper realm in dasam dwara where we get "Atam Anand/Bhram Anand" . There are two types of anand- 1. Bhram anand. 2. Yoga Ananda.. Bhram anand is never ending always infinte anand one gets compare to yoga anand which is temporary after surat goes down...yoga anand disappears. Guru Nanak dev ji wrote kar which has all the parkash. There are 6 things which vahiguroo give parkash- Bijli- Lighting Tare- Star Suroj- Sun CHandarama - Moon Munuk di buddi- Being intellect Earth- Fire. Full gurbani from siri guru granth sahib ji came from Ikongkar. Bij Mantar Sab Ko Gian | (Sukhmani Sahib) Root mantra gives everyone light of supreme knowledge. Bij Mantar is - Ikongkar. Gyani ji also says- not to recite Ikongkar alone because of its intensity..people like us cannot handle it's intensity..that's why guru ji added- Ikongkar Satnaam Kartapurkh Nirbhau Nirvair Akaal Morat Ajoni Saibhang Gurparsad Jap Ad Such Jugad Sach Hai Bhi Sach Nanak Hosi Bhi Sach || To be continued.

  5. Translated from “Ardas Shakti”, written by Sardar Raghbir Singh Bir. This story is pretty inspiring. ******BEGINNING OF TRANSLATION*********** AUKHI GHAREE NAA DEKHAN DAYEE, APNA BIRAD SAMAALE|| My daughter (S. Raghbir Singh jee's daughter) was expecting a baby. Since this was her first time, it was expected to be a painful delivery. Till nine months, my daughter’s health was normal but at end of the ninth months, her whole body swelled and became sore. Due to some other reasons too, the doctors did not think that this would be a normal delivery case. When I told the senior doctor that for while, everything in my home had been normal and that Vaheguru had never disappointed me, he started laughing, called the other doctors and said, “Look, Mr. Singh is sure that the baby will be delivered normally.” Other doctors too addressed me as Mr. Singh and told me that they too want the baby to be born by normal delivery but all circumstances are leading towards delivery through operation and that they have to be prepared for that. When the time for delivery came, my daughter was taken to the hospital. All day she stayed in great pain and around 11pm the doctor told me that next day around 4am – 5am the baby will be born and that I should go home now. My daughter had become very weak after enduring pain all day. She called me over and said to me that she does not have power to even do ardaas and that I should perform ardaas (prayer) for her. She said that she could sustain pain anymore and asked me to do ardaas to rid her of pain. I myself was in a state of shock and surprise over the events of the whole day. My daughter had been in pain all day and the doctors were suggesting that she would have to sustain pain all night as well. He condition was very serious at that time. After much persuasion by the doctors to leave for home, I came back home around 11pm, so that I may knock the door of Siri Guru Granth Sahib jee and do ardaas. Before going for home, I went to the labour room (where babies are delivered) and I did ardaas and recited the following shabad with full faith: BILAVAL MAHALLA 5 || TAATEE VAAO NAA LAGAYEE, PARBRAHAM SHARNAAYEE|| CHAUGIRD HAMARAI RAMKAAR, DUKH LAGAI NAA BHAAYEE|| 1 || SATGUR POORA BHETIYA, JIN BANAT BANAAYEE|| RAAM NAAM AUKHAD DIYA, EKA LIV LAAYEE|| RAHAO || 1 || RAAKH LIYE TINN RAKHANHAAR, SABH BIYAADH MITAAYEE|| KAHO NANAK KIRPA BHAYEE, PRABH BHAYE SAHAAYEE|| 2 || I came home while my daughter and my wife stayed at the hospital. It took me 10 minutes to come home in my car. At 11:10pm I started doing ardaas with folded hands. My idea was that since I will not be able to sleep, I would spend the whole night doing ardaas and simran. Going through this ardaas what I experienced and what I saw, would be hard to explain but I will try my best to write for the benefit of readers of “Aatam-Science” (A Sikh spiritual magazine) what occurred during my ardaas: WHAT HAPPENED IN THE BEGINNING OF MY ARDAAS In the beginning of my ardaas I had a very scary thought. This thought and vision had been created as a result of my faithlessness or maybe it was created as a test for me. I am not sure of this. I think before every spiritual experience, Maaiya tries its best not to let one escape from its clutches. If the spiritual student stays strong and does not falter during such tests, then illusions like maaiya cannot do anything and the infinite power of Vaheguru protects the Sikh. In the beginning of the ardaas this thought came in my mind that first of all, Vaheguru in front of whom I am doing ardaas probably does not exist and even if he does exist, there is nothing he can do about it as the current situation of my daughter is the result of her bad karma from previous life. The inner voice addressed me saying that my daughter must have done some very bad karma in her previous life and for this she will have to suffer. The thoughts came to my mind along the lines that the condition of my daughter in fact is very serious and that what the doctors are saying is truth. I am not going to get anything positive out of this ardaas. Then the thought came to my mind that it was my duty to stick around my daughter who is at deathbed and instead of sticking around with her, I have run home to do ardaas like a coward. Instead of facing the problem, I am looking for refuge a futile thing like ardaas. After this I saw in my thoughts the dead body of my daughter and the thought came to my mind that it is futile to do ardaas for a dead body. I FIGHT BACK THE NEGATIVE THOUGHTS OF MY MIND I was very surprised to see such attacks of my mind and got worried. After I saw the dead body of my daughter in my thoughts I cried out, “NO NO NO, this cannot happen! My father Vaheguru is all mighty. My Vaheguru will not consider my daughter’s previous karma. I have come under his protection and he always keeps honour of the ones who come to him. The scene and the thoughts that I had seen are all illusion. My Vaheguru is million times powerful than Maaiya the illusion. My eyes can be deceived, as what they see may be wrong. My ears can be deceived, as what they listen to could be wrong. My daughter can be deceived by illusion of maaiya. The doctors can be deceived by maaiya but I am a Sikh of Guru Arjun Dev jee and I am a Khalsa of Guru Gobind Singh jee. I cannot be deceived (dhokha) by maiya. I know that if Vaheguru wants he can survive us without breathing. My daughter will surely get cured”. After saying out all this, I extended my hazooriya towards Vaheguru and said, “Sache Paatshah, please don’t look at my weaknesses. Cure my sweet daughter. Please prove the falsehood of maaiya”. When the above stated thoughts went across my mind, the previous scary thoughts vanished. My anxious and tired mind was filled with peace and fearlessness. In this new state of mind, I was saying: VAHEGURU JEE KAA KHALSA VAHEGURU JEE KEE FATEH|| While sitting in this state of mind, I heard the phone ring. I picked up the phone and found out that my daughter had given birth to a baby at 11:43pm and that the birth was natural and not by operation. Doctors were surprised at this. My daughter and her child were doing just fine. After the phone call, I was filled with gratitude and started reciting the following pankiti of Gurbani: VAARIYA NAA JAAVAAN IKK BAAR|| TU SADA SALAMAT NIRUNKAAR|| ***********END OF THE TRANSLATION************ This is a very good story that tells us a lot about Vaheguru and how to do ardaas. The key to ardaas is to not let negative thoughts come near and to let positive thoughts fill our mind. Faith is the key to the success of ardaas. Vaheguru listens to ardaas from anyone who comes to his sharan. Dropati whose honour Vaheguru kept was no mahapurakh. Gajj who was saved by Vaheguru did not have any bhagtee. What we need to do is submit to Vaheguru. He does not know how to say no to his bhagats. If we lead our lives according to the hukams of Guru Sahib and try to keep his rehit and Naam, we have nothing to worry about. Daas, Kulbir Singh

  6. Virgin Atlantic/Jet Airways/BA - Why is the meal termed as Hindu meal? I have lodged a formal complaint with Virgin Atlantic, and they have taken my point, they are going to raise the issue. If anybody in the same boat, please call your airlines and raise the issue with them, meal should be termed as Asian/Indian Vegetarian or Asian/Indian Non-Vegetarian and not as Hindu meal. Only if more and more callers call them, the gravity of concern will be entertained.

  8. I've heard of Hindu veg. (which by the way doesn't include any egg/fish from the flights I've come across) and Asian veg. possibly includes egg (as they don't see egg as meat) but not Jain meal so far, although it must be there. Its a surprise that people would be fine with Indian but not Hindu. Why not complain to refrain from using any religious/national label to any food item, i.e. just make it vegan, vegetarian, pure vegetarian and non-vegetarian, etc. Why not totally remove any label, be it Indian/Asian/Hindu/Jain? It is alright to complain, but keep in mind that our own fellow Sikhs are very frequently seen to be asking for whiskey/beer and happily eat meat on flights. Just curious, is the irritation towards the name solely out of hatred for Hindus :D ? Wait, not saying anyone who posted above hates them, but been on this forum way too long to have too many doubts

  10. i was thinking about this today, sikhi and science. I was thinking about how Sikhi is totally above science and whether it is wise to use science to prove Gurbani? As Gurbani is not changeable as, but scientific theories are created and then proved/disproved, but then there are even major sticking points like nuclear fission, which at one time, scientists were saying was impossible, now even countries like india and pakistan are in on the game. Wecould be one day using science to prove gurbani is right, then when/if that scienctific research is disproved/nullified then where does that leave gurbani?

Well Guru maharaj being the sargun guru hari avtar in kalyug era have a full right to modify the shastar vidya art as obviously- shastar vidya around guru's time didn't work effectively ..read this - http://neo-sikhism.blogspot.ca/2008/11/snatan-or-puratan-hindu-or-sikhor-you.html Your point regarding link to mystical/cultural and historical context- these are nothing but energy points and part of sargun maya/shakti which all cease to fold itself in nirgun void- idolizing them and wrapping your head around it is contrary to gurmat, hating them or running away from them like wussies is also contrary to Gurmat..!!! There is nothing wrong with replacing mystical/cultural and historical context with energy points like chi energy because in essence that's exactly they are to begin with - shakti instead of pictorial version of devi/devta...all mysical/cultural/historical context are nothing in shabad nirgun vahiguroo...shabad nirgun vahiguroo is not confined by them...it does not matter so khalsa shouldn't wrap around mystical/cultural/historical context of it too much as it may sway a student away from the main goal. That's the reason i m totally against any kind of methodological framework from both sides confining concept of shakti and bhakti in Sikhism. You have mindset here which confines only true khalsa warrior to only those learn shastar vidya and of with tamoguni nature....they are totally out of depth and lost plot in sikhi...history proves them wrong they were bhramgyanis like baba sahib singh bedi, baba bir singh ji naurangabad- yodha/khalsa warrior, sant jawala singh ji harkhowale in world war 2, sant jarnail singh bhindranwale who didn't know shastar vidya but they were khalsa saint-soliders... then you have other extreme who confines true khalsa warrior to only who were staunch veggies/having star war warrior powers only through their "branded" gurmat naam..they are also quite out of depth, in the border line of loosing the plot in sikhi...!! Having pictorial form of energy points have risk high tedencies of swaying beginner away from sikhi path - sargun/nirgun and etka of sargun-nirgun- advait marg to worshipper of shiv shakat which is condemned in sikhi..its highly dangerous slippery slope...you guys need help from senior students of sant gyani gurbachan singh bhindranwale to lay out- right balance approach on your website and in the pentra's .

I guess here, the main question here comes down to: Does nihang niddar singh sacrifices methodology names of pentra's (by replacing them with neutral names) by looking at the bigger picture/maximum impact to make vidya available to the mainstream sikhi and by taking preventive measures so that his students don't get stuck in whiripoool of shiv shakat worshipping as each pentra's with demi gods of hinduism having some sort of worshipping connations behind it. Or He does not do any compromise on the methodology names of pentra's of demi gods of hinduism, make the vidya available to only those who are comfortable putting one full leg in sanatan hinduism. Dangers are enormous not just from rss portion but dangerous are enormous of khalsa being stuck in sarguna worship, being stuck in this whole mumbo jumbo - shiva shakat upasana instead of khalsa being ultimately - nirgun shabad upasakh. From Gurmat point of view. Sant gurbachan singh ji bhindranwale was perfect bridge between joining snatan/puratan sikhi and mainstream sikhi, he did so in very careful and elegant manner so much so much that despite of many devotions paid to sarguna vahiguroo (be it towards avtars/phsyical saroop of sri guru granth sahib ji, sri dasam granth, sri sarbloh granth in one's spiritual developement (shastar puja/pentra puja/nine different types of bhagti including shiv shak etc) at the end he always upheld tat nichor of gurmat was paramount which is shabad/gyan nirgun vahiguroo instead of being stuck in whirlpool of - shiv shakat upasana which many nihangs are stuck. That's why there was much needed need for bhai vir singh ji step up with his rhetoric and books so that may be his literature can help nihangs getting out of whirlpool of shiv shakat upasana instead of actually khalsa natural state which is transcendent towards nirgun shabad. Yes its true mainstream sikhi is highly allergic to sargun gods/many types of avtars in Indic dharams but what's even more truthful despite of mainstream sikhi being allergic or not that thats beside the point, there are enormous dangers of mindset falling into traps of sarguna worship of pentras or anything in sikhi so so much so much that main aim is totally forgotten be it in shastar vidya or anything in sikhi, this is where its extremely crucial to use - sant gurbachan singh bhindranwale as a guide to follow through Gurmat..!! Obviously nihang niddar singh needs to decide - whats matter most to him by looking at ground reality of some of astray students who have gone totally on left and left Gurmat and overall picture- a) provide maximum impact vidya to all mainstream sikhs by replacing pentra's with neutral names (as names it just does not matter as its part of sargun maya play anyway- it does not take anything away but only few indic traditions and those are nothing compare to great good of actual actual vidya) and by upholding importance/nirgun energy in all end lessons by telling the students sargun energy points are landmarks not the destination. or b) keeping going around his old way where risks are enormous not just from rss but sikhs themselves being stuck in whirlpool of sarguna shiv shakat type of worship. In sri sukhmani sahib 21st asthapadi- sri guru arjan dev ji maharaj totally goes through sargun landmark points and shakti in way of nirgun and gives reality slap checks by giving indication to each individual who is sargun maya worshipper/shakat upasakh to rise above from sargun to nirgun. Please listen to katha of sri sukhmani sahib of 21st astphatadi by sant gyani gurbachan singh ji bhindranwale

I agree, especially cause of the situation in Rajasthan, one of the killers of '84 was made the MP by Badal in Rajasthan and when Sikhs in the US/UK started the case against him and others, he froze all the assets especially agricultural land for Sikhs living in Rajasthan. I can just imagine what those Sikhs are thinking, "aap ta well settled in US/UK te hun sade vaste pangay pay jandhe" that they have secure lives in the western countries, while we are suffering the consequences of them trying to get justice. But I don't think we should give up. Let the government do all it can, poora zor la lain do, it'll hopefully be only a little longer, cause it seems like what the Singhs are doing here in the US/UK is starting to have an affect. About becoming shastardhari: it's a dilemma both ways, if they get caught with any serious weapons they'll be arrested as being terrorists, and with kirpans n sticks it'll be hard to fight off mobs carryin guns n another massacre can occur. That's when you know ur living in slavery, as second class citizens, when there's no help in sight

  23. Unfortunately there's nothing comedic about these threats. They have proven themselves in terrorism and have proven themselves in the heart of Punjab. Let us also remember how they easily outnumber Sikhs in every town and city in Punjab. Let us not forget how ,a few months ago, during the Rajoana protests in Gudaspur, they were able to, in broad daylight, drag Sikhs from buses, cars and bikes and forcibly remove the dastars from their heads before beating them up. Let us not forget how in Gurdaspur and Patiala they were able to, in broad daylight, set fire to Sikh dastars and then dance with joy around the fire. Let us not forget how, in Gurdaspur, the eye witness footage shows them actually guiding the police and instructing the police as to who to shoot. Oh their threats of terror are very real. As you see from the above examples the difference between us is a difference of grades of civilisations. As we Sikhs are in an advanced state of civilisation we do not have it in us to treat other communities with such inhumanity. They, however, whenever in great numbers, inherently become barbarians. It is in their nature. Think of any inhuman act and trust me....they are more than capable of it.

  24. yh, it was his perspective Singh559, but he passes it off as fact. this is where pseudo-sikhi comes into it. before the sun and moon, was energy. as atoms condensed from the gas nebluae clouds, (into hydrogen, a better was to 'back up' "..pavanai te jal hoi" btw.. ) then, after the big bang, before the moon and stars, there was time. so before the celestial bodies existed, and after the big bang, there was time. >science says< there was no time before the big bang, (so, god cnnot exist as god cannot exist outside of time; we know god can), further, time indicates a series of events occuring. so, as the 11D universe exists, the membrane that all other 9 dimentions live on, (in the 10th dimention), could have events in a series one after the other. however, as this is quantum physics, its unlikely time exists here, because effects can be measured and seen, before it was caused. so mainstream science, time is 4th, and can be created in the 5th... (dimention)

What was there before any creation? Energy transfer: Grass has energy, eaten by cattle, then energy goes to milk, and from milk finally into butter. Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee Ang 617 - Sahib Sri Guru Arjan Dev Jee Maharaj ਸਗਲ ਬਨਸਪਤਿ ਮਹਿ ਬੈਸੰਤਰੁ ਸਗਲ ਦੂਧ ਮਹਿ ਘੀਆ ॥ Fire is contained in all firewood, and butter is contained in all milk. ਊਚ ਨੀਚ ਮਹਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਮਾਧਉ ਜੀਆ ॥੧॥ God's Light is contained in the high and the low; the Lord is in the hearts of all beings. ||1|| These are just minor translations done by certain hardworking individuals as a devoted effort to assist the masses in understanding the interpretations of Gurbani. However, at times they do not do complete justice to the gems and priceless secrets of knowledge that Gurbani contains. A lot of further extensive study and research needs to be done, and what I have presented here is only the tip of the iceberg. I came across several other references towards scientific facts that the Guru Sahibaan blessed us with centuries ago and which science is discovering only today. Indeed, Sikhi doesn't need to be consistent with science, but in fact science today is attempting to be in accordance with Gurbani.

  28. ਟੁੰਡੇ ਅਸਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਆਸਾ ਕੀ ਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਿਰਲੇਖ ਵਿਚ ਹੁਕਮ ਹੈ "ਟੁੰਡੇ ਅਸ ਰਾਜੈ ਕੀ ਧੁਨੀ ॥" ਕੌਣ ਸੀ ਟੁੰਡਾ ਅਸਰਾਜ? ਪੇਸ਼ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ, ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ। ਸਾਖੀ: ਅਸਰਾਜ ਇਕ ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਾਰੰਗ ਸੀ। ਆਪਣੀ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਮਰ ਜਾਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਰੰਗ ਨੇ ਪਿਛਲੀ ਉਮਰੇ ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਨਵੀਂ ਰਾਣੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਤ੍ਰੇਏ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਸਰਾਜ ਤੇ ਰੀਝ ਪਈ, ਪਰ ਅਸਰਾਜ ਆਪਣੇ ਧਰਮ ਤੇ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਿਹਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਰਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਚਾਲ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਮ ਤੋਂ ਡੇਗਣ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਨਾਹ ਹੋਈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਪਾਸ ਅਸਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਉਲਟ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾ ਵਜ਼ੀਰ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਸਰਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨੋਂ ਤਾਂ ਨਾਹ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਹੱਥ ਕੱਟ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਖੂਹ ਤੇ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੀ ਵਣਜਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਕਾਫ਼ਲਾ ਲੰਘਿਆ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇਕ ਵਣਜਾਰੇ ਨੇ ਅਸਰਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ। ਵਣਜਾਰੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘੇ। ਉਥੇ ਅਸਰਾਜ ਇਕ ਧੋਬੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਸ ਵੇਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਅਸਰਾਜ ਉੱਥੇ ਧੋਬੀ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਨ ਬਿਤਾਉਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ। ਸਮਾ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸੰਤਾਨ-ਹੀਨ ਹੀ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ। ਵਜ਼ੀਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪੋ ਵਿਚ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਖੜਕਾਏ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਏ। ਅਸਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਭਾਗ ਜਾਗੇ ਧੋਬੀ ਦਾ ਬਲਦ ਖੁਲ੍ਹ ਗਿਆ ਬਲਦ ਦੀ ਢੂੰਡ ਭਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਅਸਰਾਜ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਉਠ ਤੁਰਿਆ ਤੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਜਾ ਖੜਕਾਇਓਸੁ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ। ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਸਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਾਜ-ਪਰਬੰਧ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੰਸਕਾਰ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ; ਸੋ ਏਸ ਨੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪਰਬੰਧ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਿਆ। ਕੁਝ ਸਮਾ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਲ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ, ਪਰ ਅਸਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਚੰਗਾ ਸੁਕਾਲ ਸੀ। ਦੂਸਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਅੰਨ ਦਾਣਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਆਉਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਵਜ਼ੀਰ ਭੀ ਆਇਆ। ਅਸਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਵਜ਼ੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣ ਲਿਆ। ਆਪੋ ਵਿਚ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਬੜੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲੇ। ਅਸਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਵਜ਼ੀਰ ਦੀ ਬੜੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ, ਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨ ਕੋਲ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼-ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰਾ ਅੰਨ ਮੁੱਲ ਲੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੀ ਭੇਟ ਕੀਤਾ। ਵਜ਼ੀਰ ਨੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਆ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਬ੍ਰਿਤਾਂਤ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਆ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਰਾਜ ਭੀ ਸਉਂਪੇ। ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਨੇਕ ਆਚਰਨ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗ ਚੁਕਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਜ਼ੀਰ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਭਲੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਮੰਨ ਲਈ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਵਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਰਾਜ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਢਾਡੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਬ੍ਰਿਤਾਂਤ 'ਵਾਰ' ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਗਾਂਵਿਆ ਤੇ ਇਨਾਮ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੇ। ਤਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਢਾਡੀ ਇਹ ਵਾਰ ਗਾਂਵਦੇ ਚਲੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਨੇ 'ਆਸਾ ਦੀ ਵਾਰ' ਭੀ ਇਸੇ 'ਵਾਰ' ਦੀ ਸੁਰ ਉਤੇ ਗਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।

  31. tape 2 of 81: Sidhas said, we understood there are six vaikhyan's(understanding layers) of Ik. We managed to get all of them except padched roop of ik. Can you please explain us? Guru Nanak dev Ji further explained: Ik is free from "sajati" (human race) in other words can't be hold under that category. Ik is free from "vijati" (tree, animals, birds, 84 reincarnation of animals, change in evolution) in other words cannot be hold under that category. Ik is free from "sway gat bhed" . Sidhas asked, how in sway gat bhed out of seed, tree and branches appears. Does whole creation comes out from him like that too and take a form? Guru Ji, said No- in Nirgun form (non transcedent) there is only nirgun non transcedent form nothing else. God does not have hand, eyes, ears but still god listens to everything and everyone, and present every where and see everything and everyone. Ik is free from "Desh kal vashto"- God does not have any country, he is everywhere. He does not need passport or visa to visit places. Ik is also free from all realms ie- shiv puri, bhram puri, indar puri. Ik is sarab vyapak. Dasam patasah says: Ad Ant Eka Avtara Sio Guru Samajho Hamra Namaskar Tissi Ko Hamri Sagal Parja Ko Ap Savairi || Ik is free from "Kaal(time/birth /death)". He is free from time. He is free from birth/death. Guru Ji said, bhram, vishnu, shiv (aom) is bound within kaal? they are going to go one day even maya is within kaal(time). Why called bhrama, vishnu, shiv - bhrama(God in Nirgun form)? It's only ik that is outside time(kaal) and free from time. Like for example- sun never stop giving its ray it's earth that rotated around the sun causing sun set and sun rise. Ik is free from upadhi like with wind, water moves that is called upadhi(change). Ik orginal state in nirgun( non-transcedent) when ik decides to transform itself(not fully) into many roops/forms/transcedent state with maya. Maya gives birth to three gunas(attributes) - Rajo Gun , Tamo Gun And Sato Gun. Being with pure sato gun, maya, soul is called Isher(Ishvar). We(Human) also have all three attributes- rajo gun, tamo gun, not purest sato gun. Deities are also made of rajo gun, tamo gun, sato gun(purest)ie- akar, okar, makar Being with full tamo gun and no rajo or sato gun are called daits/rakashs/demons. Ik made 5 Elements( Water, ether(sky), light(fire), air, earth) out of 5 elements Ik made 25 parkriti. Human Being has three upadhis(change) - supoan avastha(dream state), jagrath avastha(awakened), sukhopath avastha(dreamless sleep) "The first avastha(saupon avastha) is when the mind is interacting with sensory information, the second(jagrath avastha) when the senses are generally less active, but the mind is still projecting images and experience in sleep, and the third is dreamless sleep(sukhopath avastha), when the mind is not active but is really more akin to non-consciousness. " Isher(ishvar) also have above three upadhis(change) only difference isher upadhis(change) are powerful than human being. Ist Upadhi in ishvar(isher)- Vairaat ( Jagrath Avastha/awaken state) - Controls all realms, stars, moon, soraj. Once Arjun asked krishan ji show me your vairaat saroop. Then Krishan showed isher huge saroop in which 7 ethers/sky are consider isher (head), 7 patals are consider his feets, vital force system is consider his nostrils, chand(moon) and sooraj(sun) are considered his eyes. His heart is considered as Vishnu and bhram and shiv are considerd his two hands. All nadis(oceans) are consider his veins and all the mountains are consider his bones and all the nature are considered his praticles(rom). 2nd Upadhi in Ishvar (isher) - Hiran Garb (Supan avastha/dream state). Hiran means parkash(light). The upadhi that gives light while isher is sleeping(supan avastha) is called Hiran Garb. 3rd upadhi in ishvar(isher) is - Abhya Kirat (sukhopat avastha/dreamless state). The upadhi(change) which is present in isher(dreamless state) is called Abhya kirat. Now God(ik) does not have any of these three states(upadhis). He is above all. If we were to claim god to be in awaken state(jagrath avastha) that means god also has two other upadhis- dream state, dreamless state, that is wrong. Therefore, god(IK) is above all state.
