Learned gurmukh piare say – When people try to find truth, the basic reason for there quest is that they are surrounded by Falsehood. If they start on path of truth, they need to understand that supreme truth resides within their own self, but instead of looking inside, instead of undertaking Inner Journey, where inner self would be cleaned of filth and purified with nectar of Waheguru’s naam, where Divine Light would glow and Supreme Truth, Waheguru Akaal Purakh will be Realized, these people look for answers outside, from those who are themselves confused, themselves living in darkness, themselves entangled in shackles of Maaya. How can someone bonded liberate someone else? This is the reason for all the confusion. People try to find Dharam outside, indulge in debates, meaningless discussions, questions which don’t matter, in game of up-man ship, all in name of Dharam and lose the game. They start to find Truth but continue to suffer in falsehood. These type of people, without divine knowledge, Rass , divine virtues or spiritual flow, start seeing falsehood everywhere. Even TRUTH appears false to them, life looks just a animalistic endeavour to them, and spiritual life, inner life, life beyond death, inner meanings of Guru’s words, the purity, humility, divine reason of Guru’s words is lost to them. And this leads to a struggle, between Dharam and Adharam, Faithful and Faithless, devotion and mistrust. So, best option is to stand on side of Dharam, Faith and devotion, to believe in Spirituality, to think beyond physical limits, to let the mind fly high into faraway and vast mystical realms. Everything what we see, what we feel, what we hear, even what we think as Truth is not what it is, it has deeper meanings, bigger motives and greater value. Same has happened to Baani of Satguru Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji. Confused Minds set out to find truth, but instead of looking for truth started looking for falsehood and impurity in Ocean of Truth and drowned. Baani of Satguru Dasmesh Pita ji, from Jaap Sahib to Zafarnaama is divinely powerful Shabad. It has Bhagti and Shakti, Raaj and Jog, Bir-ras and Prem-Ras. To understand Baani of Dasam Patshah, one needs to be close to him, be worthy of Dasam Pita’s Kirpa so that the power held in those words can be felt. Out of entire composition of Maharaj, Charitropakhyaan is targeted the most by Faithless Nindaks and Shanka-wadis. But Charitropakhyaan Baani is a great Baani of Satguru ji, with deep inner meanings and a divine and holy purpose, else there was no need for Satguru ji to write it. How much power, divinity, purity, Gyaan and Kirpa it contains can be made out from this Katha. When Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj was writing Charitrokhayaan, sitting on banks of Satluj, the weak-minded Masands went to Mata Gujri ji and complained to Mataji about Satguruji’s new rachna, Charitropakhyaan, saying that Maharaj was going against bachans of Guru Nanak Dev ji and was indulging in Ninda of women. Jagat Mata Gujri ji knew her son very well, so she said to Masands that she’ll go and talk to Guruji on this issue. Next day, Mataji went to the place where Maharaj had camped and Charitropakhyaan were being written. Seeing Mata ji, Maharaj got up and bowed his head to Mataji, asking the reason Mataji had come this far. Mataji smiled, looked and Masands, then turned to Maharaj and said ‘'Laal ji ( Mataji never in her life took Maharaj's name), I Heard you are writing Charittars, I dont think human mind is still capable of hearing the Truth, of being able to see the filth it is filled with in mirror of Guru's Shabad''. Mata ji returned to Anandpur Sahib saying these words, and Guru Gobind Singh ji went into Samadhi for some time. Guru ji has just finished 324th Charittar. Suddenly Maharaj opened his eyes and asked Likhari Singh to be Saavdhaan. Suddenly Maharaj stopped, and asked Likhari Singh to Jump to Charittar 326. Maharaj finished remaining Charittars and after writing 404 Charittar, in the end counted 405 charittars. Likhari Singh, Bhai Darbari asked,’’ Maharaj,We have written just 404 Charittasr, why have you counted 405 Charittars in the End? And where is 325th Charittar?’’ Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj smiled and said Sikha, ‘’ When Mataji left, I decided to write charittar of Maha Maaya, Sri Maya Lachmi ji, the creative power of Waheguru which creates, preserves and destroys the universe. But Maharaj Akaal purakh stopped me from doing so, as when the Charittar would have been written, Maha-Maaya would have been overcome and finished. Earth, Moon, Sun, Stars, this Universe would have collapsed and there would have been Parlay (doomsday). No one has been able to imagine or explain the vastness of Maya, but I wished to write this Charittar of Maya, which has taken Human beings away from their real-Self, Sri Waheguru ji. Once the Charittar was finished, Maaya would have been rendered weak and helpless, all pure souls would have gone to Sachkhand and world would have ended.’’ Sikhs said, ‘’ Maharaj, Will this charittar be ever written and When’? ‘’Maharaj Said ‘Yes, when we come next time on this world, after finishing evil from this world, Akaal purakh Waheguru ji will complete ‘Sri Kaal ji ki Ustat’ Himself as I don’t have the power to comprehend limit of Waheguru Akaal’s Ustat, and after Akaal Ustat is completed, I will write this 325th Charittar of Maaya, after which, Maya will merge in Waheguru, there will be Maha-Parlay and whole Universe will be destroyed. We will take both Granths (Aad Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji and Sri Dasam Guru Granth Sahib ji) with us to Sachkhand and parkash them there, and we shall all dwell in peace with our beloved gursikhs and when Hukam comes, take the Baani to next creation.’’ Sikhs asked ‘’Maharaj, Why did you wish to write Charittar of MayaLachmi’’? Maharaj replied, ‘’ Singho, Maaya didn’t wish its game to be revealed, and I was doing it, warning the people of world how it twists human minds to do sin, to walk on path of evil, to go away from Nij-Saroop, Waheguru, to fall in pit of hell, there fore it took Masands to Mataji. But Mataji is beyond the shackles of Maaya, still at the benti of Masands, Mataji had to come. Mataji returned after blessing me, but I was looking at Maaya’s game, how it had entered Our darbar, how the people who were supposed to be Parcharaks of Guru, The Masands, had been corrupted and weakened by Maaya, and if the Maaya had grown so powerful, it was better to finish it, for this reason I wanted to write the charittar. ‘’ So Khalsa ji, Dasmesh Pita Guru Gobind Singh ji Sahib Sache Patshah will come again, to remove Paap from this world, to bless the holy souls and guide them to sachkhand. That day, Akaal Ustat and Maya Charittar will be completed by Waheguru ji and Satguru ji themselves. It’s a matter of faith and belief, those who have believed in Satguru ji’s presence have always remained in Charhdi kala. Have Faith in power of Baani, in Satguru Guru Granth Sahib ji and Sri Dasam Guru Granth Sahib ji and you all shall be blessed. Khalsa ji, there are many more gupt bachans and traditions in Khalsa Panth, which Puratan Sikhs believed in and stayed in Charhdi kala, but will be mocked to day by nindaks if revealed. These bachans are also just for the faithful, those who believe, and not for those who don’t believe. If you believe, keep them or its your wish to leave them. Again, We all need to look within our selves, and light the lamp of knowledge in our hearts, which will enlighten our life and remove darkness from world, only then we will be blessed by Satguru ji as his Beloved Khalsa Sons/Daughters.

Extremely important and valid point! Howcome Islam is the ONLY religion which offers a one-way road to its adherents. Another question is that while you guys welcome and pursue potential converts, your response to a Muslim interested in another faith is capital punishment. That is nothing but pure hypocrisy, and I expect an answer that is better than "No thats a misconception".

I have a question for you. I've lived in the Middle East as well as in the West. Tell me something, you guys don't allow non-Muslims to have their places of worship in your Islamic lands, but when you come abroad to the West, you want to have a mosque in every street. Well its amazing, I have no problems with mosques in every street, but I would like to see that reciprocated too. I would like to see non-Muslim places of worship in the Middle East also, if not every street, maybe not in every town, but atleast one in every few towns. I am sure this will never happen. You partially admit that Islam spread by the sword when you say that it came to India in the form of a military conquest but then spread through Sufism. Here are 2 major contradictions. Firstly, if it spread through Sufism, why are the same Sufis today getting bombed and killed? Why is the same Sufism regarded as unIslamic when it is infact responsible for the spread of Islam? Secondly, since Islam came to India with sword in hand, it doesn't matter how sweetly the Sufis preached it LATER ON, the sword factor was always there. In layman's terms, once you beat the $h!t out of someone, you may talk as sweetly as you want to afterwards, but the dude who got thrashed will listen to you no matter what because he doesn't want his @$$ kicked any more. Muslims came to India as invaders, once that happened, no matter how spiritually uplifting experiences Sufis offered, the general masses of India never forgot the blade of the Islamic sword and would have converted anyways. This fact cannot be neglected. I am not very much knowledgeable about the history of Islam before it came to India, but all those historians cannot be wrong. Sahib Sri Guru Arjan Dev Jee Maharaj was martyred (anniversary on June 12th next week) by the Mughals who were (maybe not practicing/devout) Muslims. Same was for Sahib Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Jee Maharaj, same was for Chhote Sahibzaade and scores of other GurSikhs. We Sikhs don't need to rely on ANY other piece of info or historical document. Our history is written in the blood of our martyrs, and guess who shed that blood, yes, Muslims! Back in the days it was Hindus who betrayed us and Muslims who killed us. The only solution in my opinion is that those Muslims who are intolerant towards Sikhs, and those Sikhs who cannot stand such Muslims should live non-existent towards each other. Because I doubt we can live in peace, and its morally and ethically wrong to live in disharmony. So we should live as though were not even there, that way each one can live in peace and happiness. I don't think you can blame our PunjabiPakistani friend, Islam has a tendency to turn people into LIARS. Oh Dear, there I wrote it! Now some of the liberal Sikhs on this forum will attack me for being a 'hater' or spreading 'hate'!! Let me explain. I will take one example out of many. His excuse for the Saudis not allowing non-Muslim places of worship in their country is because the Saud family has a monoploy! He is clearly lying. If non-Muslim places of worship are so welcomed in the rest of the middle east, then why aren't the organisations that oppose the Saud family's rule not making that as one of the reasons for why they want the Saud family out? Well, they don't because even the most ardent enemies of the Saud's know that by refusing to allow non-Muslim places of worship in Saudi Arabia, the Sauds are following the teachings of Mohammed. Mohammed that 'peace unto mankind' was the one who ordered the Muslims to make sure that there were no non-Muslim places of worship in Arabia. So why would our PakistanPunjabi friend give a totally false reason for why non-Muslim places of worship are not allowed in Arabia? don't think that he is that stupid or ignorant not to know the true reason. How great a language is doing in Pakistan can be seen from the fact that the only existing Punjabi newspaper in Pakistan was founded in 2004! No one whats to admit that the faith that they have was thrust upon their ancestors at the point of a sword. As the Sufi excuse has been wearing a bit thin nowadays, I have noticed some Muslims who now want us to believe that their ancestors were Sikhs and not Hindus! They know how difficult it was to convert the Sikhs to Islam by the sword, so they can now claim that their ancestor was converted not by the sword but by the 'truth' of Islam!

PakistaniPunjabi veer recognizing historical facts doesnt count as an attack on your religion: Will Durant argued in his 1935 book "The Story of Civilisation: Our Oriental Heritage" (page 459): The Mohammedan conquest of India is probably the bloodiest story in history. The Islamic historians and scholars have recorded with great glee and pride the slaughters of Hindus, forced conversions, abduction of Hindu women and children to slave markets and the destruction of temples carried out by the warriors of Islam during 800 AD to 1700 AD. Millions of Hindus were converted to Islam by sword during this period. Writer Fernand Braudel wrote in A History of Civilisations (1995), that Islamic rule in India as a "colonial experiment" was "extremely violent", and "the Muslims could not rule the country except by systematic terror. Cruelty was the norm burnings, summary executions, crucifixions or impalements, inventive tortures. Hindu temples were destroyed to make way for mosques. On occasion there were forced conversions. If ever there were an uprising, it was instantly and savagely repressed: houses were burned, the countryside was laid waste, men were slaughtered and women were taken as slaves." The Afghan ruler Mahmud al-Ghazni invaded India no less than seventeen times between 1001 - 1026 AD. The book Tarikh-i-Yamini - written by his secretary documents several episodes of his bloody military campaigns : "The blood of the infidels flowed so copiously [at the Indian city of Thanesar] that the stream was discoloured, notwithstanding its purity, and people were unable to drink itthe infidels deserted the fort and tried to cross the foaming river...but many of them were slain, taken or drowned... Nearly fifty thousand men were killed." In the contemporary record - ' Taj-ul-Maasir' by Hassn Nizam-i-Naishapuri, it is stated that when Qutb-ul- Din Aibak (of Turko - Afghan origin and the First Sultan of Delhi 1194-1210 AD) conquered Meerat, he demolished all the Hindu temples of the city and erected mosques on their sites. In the city of Aligarh, he converted Hindu inhabitants to Islam by the sword and beheaded all those who adhered to their own religion. The Persian historian Wassaf writes in his book 'Tazjiyat-ul-Amsar wa Tajriyat ul Asar' that when the Alaul-Din Khilji (An Afghan of Turkish origin and second ruler of the Khilji Dynasty in India 1295-1316 AD) captured the city of Kambayat at the head of the gulf of Cambay, he killed the adult male Hindu inhabitants for the glory of Islam, set flowing rivers of blood, sent the women of the country with all their gold, silver, and jewels, to his own home, and made about twentv thousand Hindu maidens his private slaves. This ruler once asked his spiritual advisor (or Qazi) as to what was the Islamic law prescribed for the Hindus. The Qazi replied: Hindus are like the mud; if silver is demanded from them, they must with the greatest humility offer gold. If a Mohammadan desires to spit into a Hindus mouth, the Hindu should open it wide for the purpose. God created the Hindus to be slaves of the Mohammadans. The Prophet hath ordained that, if the Hindus do not accept Islam, they should be imprisoned, tortured, finally put to death, and their property confiscated. Timur was a Turkic conqueror and founder of the Timurid Dynasty. Timur's Indian campaign (1398 1399 AD) was recorded in his memoirs, collectively known as 'Tuzk-i-Timuri.' In them, he vividly described probably the greatest gruesome act in the entire history of the world where 100,000 Hindu prisoners of war in his camp were executed in a very short space of time. Timur after taking advice from his entourage says in his memoirs : "they said that on the great day of battle these 100,000 prisoners could not be left with the baggage, and that it would be entirely opposed to the rules of war to set these idolaters and foes of Islam at liberty. In fact, no other course remained but that of making them all food for the sword Timur thereupon resolved to put them to death. He proclaimed : "throughout the camp that every man who has infidel prisoners was to put them to death, and whoever neglected to do so should himself be executed and his property given to the informer. When this order became known to the ghazis of Islam, they drew their swords and put their prisoners to death. 100,000 infidels, impious idolaters, were on that day slain. Maulana Nasir-ud-din Umar, a counselor and a man of learning, who, in all his life had never killed a sparrow, now, in execution of my order, slew with his sword fifteen idolatrous Hindus, who were his captives". During his campaign in India - Timur describes the scene when his army conquered the Indian city of Delhi : "In a short space of time all the people in the [Delhi] fort were put to the sword, and in the course of one hour the heads of 10,000 infidels were cut off. The sword of Islam was washed in the blood of the infidels, and all the goods and effects, the treasure and the grain which for many a long year had been stored in the fort became the spoil of my soldiers. They set fire to the houses and reduced them to ashes, and they razed the buildings and the fort to the ground....All these infidel Hindus were slain, their women and children, and their property and goods became the spoil of the victors. I proclaimed throughout the camp that every man who had infidel prisoners should put them to death, and whoever neglected to do so should himself be executed and his property given to the informer. When this order became known to the ghazis of Islam, they drew their swords and put their prisoners to death." The Mughal emperor Babur (who ruled India from 1526 -1530 AD) writing in his memoirs called the 'Baburnama' - wrote : " In AH 934 (2538 C.E.) I attacked Chanderi and by the grace of Allah captured it in a few hours. We got the infidels slaughtered and the place which had been Daru'l-Harb (nation of non-muslims) for years was made into a Daru'l-Islam (a muslim nation)." In Babur's own words in a poem about killing Hindus (From the 'Baburnama' ) he wrote : "For the sake of Islam I became a wanderer, I battled infidels and Hindus, I determined to become a martyr Thank God I became a Killer of Non-Muslims!" The atrocities of the Mughal ruler Shah Jahan (who ruled India between 1628 - 1658 AD) are mentioned in the contemporary record called : 'Badshah Nama, Qazinivi & Badshah Nama , Lahori' and goes on to state : "When Shuja was appointed as governor of Kabul he carried on a ruthless war in the Hindu territory beyond Indus...The sword of Islam yielded a rich crop of converts....Most of the women (to save their honour) burnt themselves to death. Those captured were distributed among Muslim Mansabdars (Noblemen)" The Afghan ruler Ahmad Shah Abdali attacked India in 1757 AD and made his way to the holy Hindu city of Mathura, the Bethlehem of the Hindus and birthplace of Krishna. The atrocities that followed are recorded in the contemporary chronicle called : 'Tarikh-I-Alamgiri' : Abdali's soldiers would be paid 5 Rupees (a sizeable amount at the time) for every enemy head brought in. Every horseman had loaded up all his horses with the plundered property, and atop of it rode the girl-captives and the slaves. The severed heads were tied up in rugs like bundles of grain and placed on the heads of the captives...Then the heads were stuck upon lances and taken to the gate of the chief minister for payment. It was an extraordinary display! Daily did this manner of slaughter and plundering proceed. And at night the shrieks of the women captives who were being raped, deafened the ears of the people...All those heads that had been cut off were built into pillars, and the captive men upon whose heads those bloody bundles had been brought in, were made to grind corn, and then their heads too were cut off. These things went on all the way to the city of Agra, nor was any part of the country spared. There are many factors for the spread of Islam in India. Sufism may have been a part of it to some extent, and it is the most popular reason given by South Asian Muslims. But reality is Islam in India was spread largely through the sword. We have no doubt about this. It is a part of Sikh history. Everyday we remember those Shaheeds from Sikh history who preferred to die as Sikhs than convert to Islam. When Afghans would raid India, they looted the Hindus who lived along the border near Afghanistan which is why they converted in mass so as to avoid harassment that a non Muslim would face from the ferocious Pathans. It's no coincidence that the people of west Punjab, Sindh, Kashmir which has now become Pakistan largely became Muslims while the further away from Afghanistan the non Muslim population was higher. Central Punjab would have became Muslim had it not been the birth place of Sikhi. Even Mughal emperor Jahangir mentions in Tauzke Jahangiri that he had executed Guru Arjan Dev Jee because large numbers of Hindus and Muslims of Central Punjab were becoming Sikhs. Guru Arjun Dev Jee was first given the choice to convert to Islam or face painful torture and eventual death. The 9th Guru was also given the same choice. The Muslim governments were also not friendly towards non Muslims. The non Muslims had to pay the Jizya Tax just to remain Hindu. Those Hindus who were unable to pay this tax were coerced or given a choice between Islam or death. Most chose Islam. It was common for unmarried Hindu girls to be harassed and even abducted by the local faujdar. To avoid such harassment many converted to Islam. The Faujdars of Jalandhar Doab were especially cruel which is why the Hindu population of that region had become Muslims in large numbers. It is only the Sikhs and Marathas who refused to bow down to these intimidating tactics. Sikhs suffered their greatest holocausts at the hands of Muslims between 1700-1800. Entire generations of Sikhs were forced to abandon their homes and live in jungles just to survive as Sikhs rather then living comfortable lives as Muslims. It is such Sikhs that gave a befitting reply to both he Mughals and later the Afghans. Those Hindus who were scared became Muslims, those Hindus who wanted to keep their HIndu faith lived as dhimis while those HIndus who wanted to live with self respect became Sikhs. This is the history of Punjab. Another reason why Islam spread and managed to remain is because apostasy was punishable with death. While a Sikh, Hindu, Buddhist, Jain may choose to leave the faith no one from his community will kill him. But not with Islam which awards death to any apostate. With such a rule in place, it is no wonder this faith has managed to retain their ranks for centuries and grow.

Long story short the man was crazy and he heard about some Pakistanis shouting gandian gandian gaallan to Punjabi/Sikh woman and families and they would basically terrorize the t own but the police couldn't do anything. This nijjar fellow hired a few men and they sprayed the Pakistanis down with autos. Nijjar was arrested but they let him go and instead thanked him for getting rid of the pestilence...soon after he got caught for murdering his employees and now he is in jail for life. Moral of story is he was a hard core criminal and scum of the Earth, but he didn't do it because he was brainwashed by a giani ji from Gurdwara to do this lol Most of the criminal gangs that are Punjabi could care less about their identity and being Sikh nor do they take pride in it. In the UK these dirty sex/rape gangs even have their moms defend their son's actions blaming it on the victims. In our community the parents would end their kid if they found them doing anything remotely close to this. ~~~ Of course majority of Muslims also, like us, find this disgusting, but that doesn't change the fact there is a population that does what I mentioned above. The bigger majority needs to actively address these problems and that will be the only way to shut up critics.

They do have "gangsta wanna be attitude" most of them are drug dealers Also, I dont hear any muslim guys getting in trouble like in UK... Most of the muslim guys are much better than Sikh guys... Alright here is the update...i did ask some of the questions- first two..got the answers..makes perfect sense..pretty consistent with rest of sant mandali perception. Gyani ji couldn't go in depth of those two questions and rest of them as nature of meeting place- there were lot of premis wanted to meet and besides gyani ji humbly refused to be recorded during questions and answers as gyani ji said these type of discussion are only meant for serious seekers and meant for personal one on one session based on student desire of learning and state of mind. I did manage..however to do some quick gupt bachan bilas..they were amazing..they know lot of gurbani in kant- sri guru granth sahib ji and sri dasam granth sahib, they were reciting kabits from sri akaal ustat..almost bought tears to my eyes..vahiguroo..will be meeting them again tom or sunday to give them cds and will personally be in touch with them from now onwards !!

I guess thats the biggest problem in our Quam. This guy atleast has his turban and beard. He was also one of the founding members of Sikh Coalition. Goggles are not allowed, we should let the glare of the sun damage our eyes. Same with covering face. Its ok to inhale a little bit of dust and fall sick with breathing problems. Sikh girls should also never wear jeans, especially in places where there are freezing winters. They should be strong enough to tolerate the chilling cold even if they fall sick with fever. We should look like God, but we don't know how God looks, so we should never look in the mirror, even that is not allowed. Sikhs should tie their turbans without looking into the mirror because that is also similar to idol worship. We should also be careful that we don't wear any kind of wrist watches as they can break the small hairs on our wrist. Its better to be late rather than looking at the time. All Sikhs should go to work in kurta pajama and salwar kameez. At work we should talk to everyone in Punjabi, whether they understand it or not. More regulations will be mentioned in future. Thanks
