  1. If we're being accurate and living up to specific cultural stereotypes, the person saying Namaste should've been illustrated like this: That's only fair.

  2. That's what I mean, the sooner this kind disappear the better it will be. These same people will tell sikhs what's allowed and what isnt.

  3. This is the problem non practicing sikhs, monas and monis feel a sense of entitlement in giving their opinion when it comes to sikh matters. Cultural Sikhs should have absolutely no say, or feel the right to have a say on what sikhs should do and what sikhs shouldn't. With anita ranis head shaven like a sheep she is basically a nobody to even have a opinion on the sikh interfaith marriage issue. Non practicing sikhs feel they have a right to interfere and tells sikhs what we should be doing with our faith. Couple of decades ago such people would of not had a say. We now have xyz and tom d1ck and harry telling sikhs what sikhi is. Sant ji said only the son of a sikh who keeps his kes and keeps shastar has the right to go on stage and do a speech.

  7. Please worry about your Muslims brothers and sisters in Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Afghan just to name a few and leave our community alone. There's plenty of things going on in the Islamic world so the last thing you need to do it come to a Sikh forum and start giving your views. We don't need it and never asked for it. Peace!

  12. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs/the_papers Have any of you seen the front page of today's Guardian newspaper? There's a massive picture of a Singh wearing a mask in Leicester. The story is about how Leicester has had an increase in Corona cases and that another lockdown is required. It is implying that Leicester is full of dirty immigrants. Out of all of the different ethnic groups that live in Leicester why did they choose a Sikh? Are we just fair game to them? They are too scared to put up a picture of a Muslim woman in a hijab or woman in a sari so they just pick on us because we just take it lying down. Muslims are 18% of the city, Hindus are 15%, we are a miniscule part of the population, our percentage of the population is not even mentioned on Wikipedia. If they were talking about Southall then fair enough but this is gujju (both hindu and muslim) central. The guardian is a trashy Muslim pandering paper.

  14. Grim reality of how majority of Indians see sikhs as. 25% of those 20 soldiers died were sikhs and yet PM only praised Biharis Sikhs are treated just like blacks are being treated in US Despite of all full force propaganda to discredit indian sikhs, Indians still trust sikhs more than others. 75% of sikhs resides in India and anything happens in India effects all sikhs abroad.

  15. Pierced ears among men is still common in north India and Punjab they wear those small studs, many western born Punjabi guys do as well, I myself had my ears pierced lol! But took them out once i started growing my dhari out. I think Yogis used to pierce there ears and wear wooden earrings, i think in the yogi tradition it represented detachment from the world. Kings/Kshatriya's used to wear earrings as a sign of royalty/nobility. Today its just fashion ...

  17. Remember these far-left media outlets love Sikhs when we handing out langar yet they'd be the one calling us 'extremists' or Islamophobia when we calling out grooming gangs, and talking about 1984.... During the inter-faith protests at Gurudwaras, they were all at it against Sikhs, Sunny hundal was writing plenty stories for their trash newspaper..Notice how anything related to Muslims its labelled at 'Asians' and when there a bad story about Sikhs we get headlines 'Sikhs'..XYZ.. Did you see any of these papers talking about the isis attacks on Sikhs in Afghan or Kashmir?! If it was muslim victims , we'd never here the end of it Those terrorist attacks recently seem to be forgotten by media! guardian bbc is totally trash 100% agree with...along with BBC pretty much all UK media... only panders to Islamist, Pakistanis, Palestine...and nobody else matters! Personally stopped watching reading news all together...only read here and there....but it always the say bs pro muslim pandering

  18. I'm sick of it to be honest. I remember when the BBC produced a fictional drama on muslim grooming gangs 10 years ago. Where do they decided to set it? Bradford? Rotherham? Oxford? High Wycombe? Nope, in Southall! With plenty of backdrops of the Havelock Road Gurdwara.

  27. I would say a weakling like you who goes ga ga over some Muslims from his area in Punjab now living in Pakistan has more of a crush than someone like me who admires Sikhs who stood up to Muslay grooming gangs in the 80s. Those guys weren't perfect but out of them and a dhimmi like you I know who I would rather have as back up in a ruck. Here's your many crushes just of you.

  28. Yes, at the end of the amrit sanchar panj Singh will ask if their is anyone who hasn’t had a gurmukh naam karan or Anand karaj. Then those like you who haven’t had that sanscar will be blessed with a name from guru sahib. A couple from another religion that hasn’t had laavan can even have them done there and then.

  29. The strong usually prey on the weak in life. This truth will manifest in many areas of your life. Wanting things to go a certain way does not get you any where. What you lack is strength. This you need to ask for from Guruji. Don't expect things to turn out in your favor. Life doesn't work like that. This strength is what will help you get through this and many other obstacles you may face in life. Since we don't know enough about your life bhenji, most people will give generic advice. Try to see what you need to do to win over your in-laws or husband. Some concrete steps you can take. If they have ill-intentions and don't want you, then you need to be courageous enough to get your parents help to resolve this. If they have no intention to ever resolve this, then you know what step you need to take. Move on in life.
