rehat pyaaree mujh koh sikh pyaaray nahee - Guru Gobind singh

113791

Where does rehat go when sikhs do keertan without raags despite most of shabads in Siri Guru Granth Sahib start with ragas??

Have you heard of something called "Gurmat Sangeet Maryada" ?

before i start ill say sorry for any mistakes i make.

I am a just gonna say it is true to an extent what sureal is saying think about it i go to rehansbahis all the time and all it is if your not wearing a keski thats it your like <banned word filter activated> under their shoes (its like this with the women dont know about the men) i really cant believe it, and the majority of people who act like that have been wearing a dastaar for all of what 10 seconds and all of a sudden they think they are all high and mighty but the fact is they are pressured into wearing a keski by others knowingly or unknowingly they are still pressured into it only wanting to fit in, and its ridiculous that once they put a keski on your head you all of a sudden become so chardikala. forget if you do paath or not its what you look like how ridiculous is that !!!!!!!!!1

From personal experience these girls dont know the meaning of a keski on not only are you wearing it as a crown but (NOT for all keski wale but for some half of them) they dont even do their paath and i know quite a few of these people and it makes you so upset how they have no respect for what a keski symbolizes. You see these same people at the smagam in the evening programmes shaking their head so much to the simran you think vaaah how chardikala then 10 minutes later their never to be seen again cuz their in the langar hall chattin to their mates. And at amrit vela will you see any of these girls who kaha themselves so boosted hell no!

Before i start swearing ill end it there i just wanted to get my point in But i will say this i am not talking about all women with keskia but the "new age" girls and their keskia, you know who you are.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

Try to experience Amrit Vela, Nit-nem, Naam Ras etc. Live in Rehat for 1 month. Give it a go. Keep your kesh, give up meat & alcohol. Wear a dastar. Sit twice daily in the Sadh Sangat. Try & understand what the term "fanatic" means, then see if you are still able to judge anyone just because they have hair on their face or don't.

The point about facial hair on women is i believe you should not remove any hair on your face unless its caused by an illness, then i personally believe that it is an exception. The reason i believe this is because my cousins best mate had alot of facial hair but she wore a keski since she was a kid like most of us. But when she got to her teens the hair started to get really bad but her parents said no you cant remove it even though it was really noticeable. So instead she started waxing and stuff not blatantly but to keep the growth at bay. When her parents found out they were like you basharam you should be ashamed of yourself who are you doing this for the usual. That was it for she became depressed cuz she felt trapped she couldnt just give up sikhi because she still had that pyaar their but she felt to concious to go to keertan programmes where people would stare at her. Unfortunately she stopped going out the house and all she ever did was obsess about how she wanted to do kirtyan in sangat and would love to go to a rehnsbahi but just couldnt.

At the present moment she is now not wearing a keski has given up all hope with alot of sikhs and their extremism and has had laser treatment to sort the problem out. And believe it or not she is the most boosted woman i know she does loads of seva and wakes up everyday at amritvela that more than i can say for those people who were saying to her that you have to live with.

If Maharaj made you that way it would be for a reason. Fair play to her, she felt she cudnt be seen in public etc, thats fine. But then isnt this ego? U worry what others think of you?

I wouldnt walk out the house if my dastar had even the slightest fault in it but now i jst dnt care. If people comment on it, its on their head not mine. Its not the same i know, facial hair etc but the principle is the same. Its based on Ego.

"rehat pyaaree mujh koh sikh pyaaray nahee - Guru Gobind singh"

I love this line from Gurbani coz everyone jumps up and starts screamin this that and the other. Not doin amritvela, blah blah blah

Whats the pritam rehat? The first Rehat? TO TAKE AMRIT so u can practice it all you want but it dnt mean nothin.

So paji who said all these people have brocken rehat, hmmm. Ok... Yeh might have been slack on it, but not really brocken rehat. If the commit one of the 4 sins, then yeh guess they have! Missing amritvela, yep, thats DEFINATLY rong. i fall in to that too. We shud all be tryin to keep the best rehat we can and unless we take the first steps, take the amrit with which the rehat comes, how we ever gona get anywhere??

Hamaree Piyaaree Amritdhari. - Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

Theres your answer bro, for someone who is monay and keeps rehat, and someone who is amritdhari. But that dnt mean you take amrit once and its done. it means u take amrit and keep the rehat to be a Sikh of the Guru!

The word fanatic is a joke. Someone who maintains Maryada is a fanatic in this day and age!! Wooo!! im a fanatic too then yeh!! For when Maharaj is on his way to bed (Sukhasan) for doing Pera Daar Seva yeh? Coz maryada says maharaj should have a pera daar. Therefore im a fanatic!

Im a fanatic coz i believe women shudnt cut their kesh even if suposedly medical. What about the boys who dnt get beards? shud they get surgery done to have hair????

I def not the best sikh in the world. But i try to keep the best rehat i can, the one given to me by the Panj Piyaara and thats it! The one which pleases Guru Ji. if i fail i ask Guru Ji to help me improve. Not to forgive me, but to punish me for not keeping as Pukha as i should. All i can do is ask for the help. Then Guru Ji does it! He gives u the starting poing for each thing. Then U have to take the steps then to work on them.

Correct what the turbaned girls did was rong. But at the same time, is it right to call yourself Sikhs just because your born into a Sikh family?? I used to. I used to love it! im a sikh coz i go to the Gurdwara once a week and do matha but dnt know what sikhi is!!

then you get people who say, thers so many monay that do seva at the Gurdwara> they spend all their time there!! Thats great!!! Further, "THey have soooo much piyaar for Guru Ji" Again solid truth. But then if they have so much? So much respect? Why not jst follow his simple Hukham. Keep your kesh, take amrit, and follow his Rehat Maryada and join him in Sach Khand.

If anyone calls me ignorant etc for the above, kool!! all good. If im fanatic then YEY!!! Im a fanatic!!!! AKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALA!!!!! Sat Sri Akaal!!!

For every thousand men that attack the leaves of a tree (problem) only one man attacks the roots.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!!

I'm glad we have found our saviour in the form of sureal69. The lone ranger!!

The problem is that Sureal69 thinks that Sikhi is the problem and is attacking its basic principles.

My friend its good to know you is "chatting" with Guruji. The 2nd Generation of UK Sikhs who are "fanatics" havent even done 0.0001% of what Puratan Sikhs have done for the world, I wonder what you think of them? Get real, use your "chatting" abilities with Guruji and find out why you where your turban!

here we go again on another rollercoaster ride.

i couldnt care in the world if i am deemed as an rss agent or bjp or congress sarkar, but i 110% agree with this guy the whole nine yards.

ok, kes etc is imporatant, but is it more important to concentrate on the inner self.

maharaj said the same thing to pandits, the inside is more important.

so your telling me, when you die, you can do so much tapasya and paath, and be a moona, and god will say "hang on mate, wheres your kes? you followed everything else but never kept kes, oh well chaurasi for you!"

and compare that to an amritdhari who probably never kept full rehat, maharaj will jump from his desk and say "va gursikha va, you kept kes, oh look you have your kakkars, i bow to you, its sachkhand for you mate"

i remember ages back, like when i had just started secondary school, a kesdhari who never wore turban, just wore what little kids wear, you know the rumaala (not patka, but you know, what little kids of say 4-5 wear). anyway, my point being is this, at the corner of the street, i could not believe he would smoke, and i seriously refused to believe this was the same kesdhari i saw at school until i chatted to other people about him, making sure this was not an illusion of some sort.

ok, now we should not have an appearence if we are to keep to that principals, and im sorry, aaj kal di singhs i have met have never kept true to their banaa.

(gustaphi maaf)

im a moona, and when i look at the teachings of bani, i say man i want to grow my kes, then i turn to todays people, and i get rid of it, reason is simple, i will not fall into a hybrid that aaj kal di singhs are militants.

i personally say what counts is the inside and only have the outside if you can stay true to it, and show pyaar god has on offer. (is this where i am deemed as radhaswami? what will some people do, blow up a building?)

whats sad here is the fact that aaj kal di lions are dressed as sheep, and aaj kal di sheep are dressed as lions.

Your quote above "My girl cousins who are sikh but cut their hair " is untrue, cos one is not a Sikh if they cut their hair - you may find this offensive, but this is not something I have come up with, this is what our Guru Saahiban's have told us

gustaphi maaf, but even if you have paag and kes, doesnt make you a sikh. only once someone has taken amrit can they be sikh, remember

sikh pehla, singh baad

sant siphai works in that way also.

also thats dear coming from you bhenji because when i said the same thing to you on msn and when we met you said something, i cant remember but you certainly did not come out like this, you were positive and said something how we are all sikh but with different spiritual level!

As for being Khalastani, well first someone explain to me what khalistan will be and then maybe I’ll believe in it. Not some utopian society, but lets face it the same people who run the gurudwaras will be running khalistan.

khalistan, hmmm, well i am in a sense for it because it will be a place where people can practice their religion freely. go to punjab, very few kesdharis, because of discrimination.

also, look at the water supplies and electrical supplies, in which 75% goes to other states, making punjab one of the most poorest states.

then again, its up these people who claim they are the proudest fanatics in the world to do mass parchaar of sikhism and influence other people to follow a rehat. also its a shame because the foundations of getting this khalistan is when the parbhandak comitee hand their powers to the panj pyare. despite there are some "absoloute strict" singhs, escpecially in leicester, that has not happened.

then again, we always cant give up things for the sake of humanity can we?

rehat pyaaree mujh koh sikh pyaaray nahee - Guru Gobind singh

ok, so how many have been able to keep full rehat. and just because you have a paag doesnt make you rehatdhari, being rehatdhari does not mean one should keep paag and do 5 banis, it also contains...........

controlling the vices

not to diss a singh

do not talk to a turk

protect the cow

never do ninda

the last two i found out yesterday, i mean the turk and the cow part, i checked it on google.

taksal says not to talk to moonai

http://www.damdamitaksal.com/lit_rehat_18.htm

and also, one should use oil, ash and sand to clean the hands

i ask you here, when you go gurdwara, which person uses this and not soap?

http://allaboutsikhs.com/rehat/rehat_09.htm

Caste

A Singh protects cows and Brahmans. Ensure that your cooking arrangements are kept unpolluted. Do not permit the following to participate in your langar: barbers, Jhivars who shave heads, weavers, potters, and others of low caste. Brahmans and those of good family who do not touch bhang or tobacco can all pre-pare food in a langar. Preaching should convince the four castes of the message concerning warfare. '° [16, 102—4]

http://allaboutsikhs.com/rehat/rehat_16.htm

Pilgrimage

Anandpur, Amritsar, Patna, and Abchalnagar [the four takhats], are truly splendid places. Reverently walk around any place associated with a Guru, make an offering, say Ardas, and inwardly meditate on the supreme Guru. [17, 18]

k, how many have walked to anandpur here then?

http://allaboutsikhs.com/rehat/rehat_16.htm

Smite Turks with immense vigour. A Singh who obeys the Rahit does not bow when he meets a Turk. Never serve Turks, never greet a Turk, never trust Turks. Serve only the Khalsa. Avoid Muslim huttha meat. By fighting them face to face the Muslims will be defeated. Remain ever alert against the Turks. A Turk should be neither accepted as a master nor treated with deference. Keep Muslims away from your cooking-square when preparing for a langar. Muslims are polluted. [16, 20, 21, 30, 45, 46, 62, 94]

http://allaboutsikhs.com/rehat/rehat_17.htm

practically, most of people have broken their rehat if thats the case

heck i bet some people are breaking their rehat as we speak, this whole thread will probably turn into a, whats the word, a dissing match in the end.

also, im intrested in who these people were who write such rehats, and how they were able to write this?

gustaphi maaf

113793

NO THAT CANT BE THE REHIT! no jopes that is just anti sikh in every way. i mnt he caste thing wot the chutney?!?!
