Good Luck, Like to see what the organisation has on offer and hopefully achieves something apart from personal agendas and self pamp.

Regarding Boss - AK47 summed up everything that needed to be said

1) Singhs dont openly put there names on things

2) Alot of Seva might happen throughout the year - maybe boss affiliated singhs that do it, but no one actually knows who does it as they dont reveal there identities that often

3) Boss is functional my friend, they help organise camps, kirtan programme and alot of other gupt things that dont go into print.

4) Boss does upport the sikh societys with literature etc.

5) Boss isnt Taksalis - get your facts right here bhai sahib - If its taksalis then why are most of the talkers at each sikhi camp not even taksal affiliated? Who from boss is a student at mehta? No one.

6) Good luck to the organisation, hope all goes well

Fateh

As stated previously, HOPEFULLY EVERYONE ON HERE IS DOING THERE CHAUPAI SAHIBS

why are some people whinning and moaning. they settign up to do sikhi tings the more the better init. in our history we have had different misls doing different things which had different visions and angles. in 84 we had isyf , kcf ,klf , etc who all had common goal. instead of codemning anyone join which ever or even both and make a difference for the panth, we should be encouraging bssf and showing them supprt as they are doing parchaar, not disheartening them. its like the more charity group we would have for collecting the money the more money we would get, becuase more collectors will be involved and more awarness created. therefore the more parchaar groups the more parchaar will be happening, this mean more people getting into sikhi guru kirpa, more gurdwaras and unis covered.

cool

I thought it was part of the Young Sikhs/Fed as well at first lol

But anyway if you guys are genuine about doing some good work, then defo contact the existing groups. If nothing else, ask them for their experience and guidance.

You have the Young Sikhs who have done great work with the Fed in sorting out the 84 protests, presentations etc. Much better then its been for many years!

The BOSS guys who have been working for years and still do a lot of great stuff, known and unknown around the UK and abroad.

The AKAAL chaps at Wolves who have been fantastic as well, and have been really active also in really upping the parchar in wolves!

You got Kauageous as well who are doing really good work around the country aimed at the girls.

So if you are genuine in wanting to work and learn and develop with others, then try contacting the above and see what you can pick up from them. There are other groups too im sure, eg in east london you have the mata sahib kaur academy which is doing great seva in that area.

So lots of good seva is being done, so build on it and be positive in your outlook, if in your meetings you ever find yourselves talking negatively of other groups, STOP. This is the sure way to disaster, always think and act positively. Nobody has 'rights' over any seva, but if someone is doing something, its often just polite and more efficient to speak to them as well. eg Young Sikhs seem to be very active in the June protests, so if you want to contribute seva there, contact them, BOSS do sikh socs, kirtan progs, literature, camps etc so maybe speak to them about that, Akal do workshops and youth involvement programes eg radio stations, so contact them on that. etc etc

But be positive do seva for the right reasons and dont be afraid to ask for help/guidance or even offer it where appropriate!

You see what im saying!! :)

CHAUPAI SAHIB'S PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!
