Sikhism On Vegan ?

Sikhi is turiya path which while engaging in rajo - enrich foods, tamo - non veg and sato -simple food, veg in perfect harmony it also under pins and transcends them.

Sikhi is neither for or against eating meat. So Sikhi cannot be boxed or confined into conditioned world movements like veganism- PETA or other extreme everything goes such as kfc.

But Sikhi is a spiritual path of Daya. Dharm is born from Daya(dhaul dharam daya ka poot). 

 

Blessed is Taksal which spread Vegetarianism throughout the Panth. Before the rise of Sant ji, even most Amritdharis were eating meat like the Malech middle easterners(Muslims) who introduced this Rakshas trait to the land of India.

Agreed, just like compassion is preservation aspect of Ikongkar, destruction is also aspect of - Ikongkar. Ikongkar is within all, operating functioning in perfect harmony in absolute non duality. Hence, my point of turiya.

What is really strange is, westerners are increasingly becoming Vegetarians and Vegens. On the other hand as Indians become more and more western, they are leaving their traditional vegetarian diet and becoming meat eaters because they think it is the modern and western thing to do. So westerners are adopting our good traits while desis are adopting the bad traits of the west.

Didn't the Taksal change a lot from it's origins, meat was only completely banned under Baba Thakur Singh, before they could eat meat in Life-Death situations, also Nihangs still eat meat.

eating meat as a very last resort is not promotion of meat eating. It is the opposite. When was the last time Taksal Singhs ate mean? even during the 84 siege when Singhs were hungry and tired they did not resort to meat eating. Before Taksal became very famous during the 70s, it was considered normal for even Amritdharis to eat meat, now due to Taksal's parchar, it is considered taboo for an Amritdhari to eat meat. Before only Mahapursh who were into spirituality knew it was wrong because being a meat eater had a negative effect on one's spirituality.
