Sex offender jailed after we traced him in Canada

A man has been jailed for child sex offences after we tracked him down to a mechanic’s workshop in Canada and brought him back to face justice.

Mohammed Schwitters, from Birmingham, sexually abused a child over a period of seven years starting when the girl was just 10-years-old.

It happened between 2010 and 2017 and we arrested Schwitters when the offences were reported to us in 2017.

Schwitters, aged 55, skipped the country during our investigation – but officers from our Public Protection Unit worked tirelessly over the next three years to track him down.  

We finally caught up with him on 1 September 2020 - working together with the Canadian Authorities - we tracked the mobile phone number and bank accounts he used to a mechanic’s workshop in Toronto.

He was extradited back to the UK and appeared at Birmingham Crown Court on the 10 December 2021 where he pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual assault on a child, three counts of attempted rape and three counts of assault by penetration.

And on today (Friday 4 March), Schwitters was jailed for 18 years; he will remain on the Sex Offender Register for life. 

Detective Constable Kat Sands said: “This case really highlights how we take reports of sexual abuse very seriously and will work with survivors, help get them the support they need, and work with them to bring offenders to justice.

“It is never too late to report sexual abuse and we will leave no stone unturned to get justice.

“While this sentence can never undo what happened, I hope the victim will find some comfort in knowing justice has been served.”

there r actually a few of the kashmiri 'mirpuris' here to nowadays atleast thts what a few have posted as hometown on facebook, but there numbers although there are very small n bound to be dominated in youth culture by the punjabis.

Australian children removed from harm during AFP global child sex abuse investigation

More than 100 men have been charged with 1248 child abuse-related offences throughout the operation.

Dozens of Australian children have been removed from harm throughout a global operation targeting the making and distribution of child abuse material.

Operation Molto launched in 2019, co-ordinated by the Australian Federal Police-led Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation (ACCCE) in collaboration with police across Australia’s states and territories.

On Wednesday, the AFP confirmed the operation had been finalised.

Over the three years, police executed 158 search warrants, charging 117 men with 1248 child abuse-related offences and removing 51 children from harm across the country.

The alleged offenders range in age from 18 to 61 and arrests were made in every state and territory of Australia. The occupations of those charged include law enforcement, construction, transport and hospitality.

A total of 23 children were removed from harm in Queensland, 10 in South Australia, eight in Victoria, five in the ACT, three in NSW and two in Tasmania.

Investigations began in 2019 when the centre received New Zealand intelligence indicating thousands of offenders were using a cloud storage platform to share “abhorrent” child abuse material online.

The operation has led to more than 150 children being removed from harm globally, including 79 in the UK, 12 in Canada and six in New Zealand...

There is definitely longstanding global pedo networks in the west.

Quick aside. Jehovah's Witnesses were citicized for handling sex abuse in house, with their own investigations, and it came out they had about 2 victims per accused. 

Heres a huge case where under the government the 100 abusers had 12.48 victims each. Six times as many.
