Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, if we look at the response to the awful events of the tsunami, and the way in which the world has come together to raise funds, we realise we live in a different world. Today the media and communications links have made us a global village. So much money has been collected, one wonders and hopes it will all reach those who needs it, and not get lost in so-called adminstration costs. I was thinking today, soon another Great bhagat is going to be blessed on this earth. A great Gursikh like our beloved Bhai sahib Randhir Singh, Baba Jarnail singh and Baba Attar singh ji. However the effect of this bhagat wil…

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh 4 years ago I was in Punjab and I remember I went to this sant in some pind in punjab with my aunt. I don't remember Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji being there, I was told to do matha tekna infront of a picture (there was an old man in the pic, he is dead now) there was flowers etc around the picture. Then we sat there for hours hours and spoke to the sant. It might seem stupid for you that I ask on this forum, but I'm curious to know which function these sants have in India? Anyone know?

WJKK WJKF Shri Guru Arjan Dev the 5th Guru of Sikhism first incorporated Shri Guru Ravidass’ Bani in to the Adi Granth. If Guru Ravidass Bani were a contradiction to Sikhism no way would Guru Arjan Dev Ji have incorporated the Bani in to the Adi Granth? The Shri Guru Granth Sahib is a central part of worship to any Ravidassia Sikh Temple. The Sikh Gurus are revered and respected, Vaishaki, Diwali are celebrated. Like Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Guru Ravidass rejected the Hindu Caste System and both believed in One Omnipresent God. What does Hinduism believe in? So if Guru Ravidass rejected the Hindu caste system and believes in One Spiritual God what religion is he part of? T…

Gurfateh!! Khalsa Ji, i was just wondering whether anyone might possibly have english translations of Chandi Charitra I and II , Triya Charita, Chaubis Avatar or Pakhyan Chritra. It would be helpful even if one did not have the translation but the text in Gurmukhi as a word doc. or pdf etc . Or if anyone knows whether any of those baniya are on the net, that would be helpful. I know this forum does not allow the discussion of Sri Dasam Granth Ji, thus i am not starting a discussion on Sri Dasam Granth Ji, i would just like to do a bit of research and would be extremly greatful if anyone could help Thank you Sangat Ji. Gurfateh!!

Dual citizenship - India!

I was just reading an article on Sikhnet about how PM manmohan singh ji plans on offering dual citizenship NRIs. I think this is awesome...i know many sikhs have always complained and rightly so about how sikhs are treated in India...how we are depicted by the government as well as the media...also how all the foreign investment has been made in the south or other areas of india, while Punjab has seen very little foreign investment or creation of new jobs... I think this is a great opportunity for overseas sikhs who are successful to go and pump some money into the Punjab economy, create jobs, buy Land back from all the bhaiyaas who are trying to get into punjab...a great…

Does the Sikh Federation (UK) represent ALL Sikhs i.e. Amritdharis, Kesdhari, Sahajdhari, Kesdhari, Patit, Ramgharias, Ravidasi, Balmiki, Ramdasia, Mazhbis, Bhatras, etc.? What procedures have the the Sikh Federation (UK) put in place so that ALL Sikhs in the UK could be represented fairly and equally by them. Your thoughts and views please.
