Hi people, Why is it that you always hear of Muslims beating on the Sikhs but almost never hear of the Sikhs actually fighting back? I think this is a slap in the face of Sikh ancestors, in Canada+U.S. they have more Muslims then the UK does and the Sikhs here have practically never faced an attack, or if they have, someone's been shot/knifed/batted down because they shouldn't of messed with the Sikhs in the first place =\

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Guru Pyaaree'o it has evident that generally our youth are drifting away from Sikhi. I don't want to wallow and dwell on how Gurdwaras have let us down, on how parents have not fulfilled their duties or on how no parchaar is done in your area! Let us not think about the problem! Let us address the problem and DO SOMETHING! Please share ideas we can (realistically and practically) do to encourage the Sikh Youth to explore and come closer to Gurmat. Bhul chuk maaf karnee ji Manvir Singh

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, if we look at the response to the awful events of the tsunami, and the way in which the world has come together to raise funds, we realise we live in a different world. Today the media and communications links have made us a global village. So much money has been collected, one wonders and hopes it will all reach those who needs it, and not get lost in so-called adminstration costs. I was thinking today, soon another Great bhagat is going to be blessed on this earth. A great Gursikh like our beloved Bhai sahib Randhir Singh, Baba Jarnail singh and Baba Attar singh ji. However the effect of this bhagat wil…

This has done the rounds on many e-lists - I've been asked the question so often since this disaster... thought to share this with you all PART 1 I was in a petrol station waiting to pay. The old lady infront was talking to the Sri Lankan serving her. He said he knew people who had died, but he smiled and said "Its Gods Will." The English lady replied, "Well I dont know what God is playing at." That is the question everyone wants an answer to : "WHY?" If God is loving and caring and we are His children then WHY do this to us? The TV journalists dont ask that question. They present the facts, they even give the sciencitfic explanation. But science can only t…

Gurfateh!! Khalsa Ji, i was just wondering whether anyone might possibly have english translations of Chandi Charitra I and II , Triya Charita, Chaubis Avatar or Pakhyan Chritra. It would be helpful even if one did not have the translation but the text in Gurmukhi as a word doc. or pdf etc . Or if anyone knows whether any of those baniya are on the net, that would be helpful. I know this forum does not allow the discussion of Sri Dasam Granth Ji, thus i am not starting a discussion on Sri Dasam Granth Ji, i would just like to do a bit of research and would be extremly greatful if anyone could help Thank you Sangat Ji. Gurfateh!!

OUR CHILDREN’S FUTURE by Manvir Singh Khalsa Why are our children not attracted to going to the Gurdwara? Why are our children drifting away from Sikhi? Why are our children forgetting their great Sikh history? Why are our children not respecting their parents? Are the Gurdwaras to blame? Are the schools to blame? Is the Panth to blame? The fundamental blame goes to the mothers and fathers. Parents say that our children don’t listen? Parents say that our children are not interested? Parents say that they don’t have enough time? How can we inspire our children to realise how precious and beautiful Sikhi is?How can we inspire our children to realise how great…
