waheguru ji ka khalsa, waheguru ji ki fatehhh saadh sangat ji..when guru ji says that concentrate on guru's feets..so when one tries to concentrate by imagning that he is sitting in the gurughar..and looking at guru ji..does that mean same thing as concentrating on guru's feet?? bhul chuk maaf jeoo loonharami waheguru ji ka khalsa, waheguru ji ki fatehh

did anyone watch alpha punjabi at 6.30-7.30, one of the best raagis i have seen. Bhai Sadhu Singh Dehradoon wale. such a nice voice. awww, it was once upon a time when i requested him to sing for me on alpha punjabi as well.

VJKK VJKF OK enlighten me Sadh Sangat Ji... a Gurdwara i know has this rule... unless u wear a kurta u cant sit on stage. NOW, sumthing like this is fairly common in India yeh where the kurta has to be as plain as possible and the women have restrictions to the type of suits. But how come when someone is itching to do keertan on stage whilst wearing clothes that are simpler than most kurtas and suits the other keertani on stage was wearing, the person is not allowed to sit on stage? sangat ji, I attended the bhog of a sehaj paath and when the Bhai ji did Ardaas he did not say "Sri" before each Guru ji's name, he just said Guru Nanak Dev and so on. Then after he read hukamnama and he began to explain it he said that this is Guru Arjan Dev ji's bani (Suhi something, sorry forgot whole name). He didn't say Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji. So my dad was kinda offended that the Bhai ji did not say the Guru's name with Sri cuz Sri shows "satkaar" to the Gurus. So, which way is correct way to refer to any of 10 Guru jis? Should we say Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji or is it ok to just say Guru Nanak Dev ji? :T: thanx

Anyone believe the following to be true: Socrates' Cave Theory : We, as humans, are locked inside a cave facing the wall and can only see shadows of objects and other humans, and the burning fire that blocks the light from us. It is the philosopher who can escape the cave, but once reaches outside, is blinded by the immediate light (the sun literally but "the truth" poetically). so- called sant baba -admin-cut- singh is being accused of sixual harrasment and even rape, by some of our sisters. this has been going on for quite some time, but due to the 'indian society' system, our sisters in india have not come forward... and now even the CM of punjab, as well as the sant samaj and bhai ranjit singh have been informed. Leaving aside Guru ji, the general question of taking afeem (opium) in limited quantities for war/medical wounds is simply unproblematic. When you go to the hospital, they give you morphine. What do you think morphine is? It's an opiate. Even codeine (cough syrup) is an opiate! Ever had a cough? Granted, it is against Gurmat to take opium or other drugs for the fun of it. -
Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources. Well, you'd be surprised at their resourcefulness. A final possibility is he's a weak Sikh who was asked a question by a non-Sikh and now he's suddenly feverishly wondering where it's "written" that you can't marry a young child. To the latter, I would say, you're looking in the wrong spot. Gurbani isn't a 1428 page rulebook, like Leviticus or the Vedas: ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਪੁੰਨ ਪਾਪ ਬੀਚਾਰਦੇ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ॥ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ॥ The Simritis and Shastras discriminate between charity and sin, but know not the essence of the Real Thing. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well.
