You're walking down the street, you are approached by someone, they ask if you have a minute or two to spare for a quick survey, you say you're in a hurry to get somewhere and rush off. Further down you are stopped again, this time someone offers you something in return for a minute of your time, pleased at the fact you will get something in return you stop and give up some of your time. These people attract us by giving us things that please our mind, that satisfy our needs, maybe they come dressed in certain clothes, or they speak in a certain way to get your attention. If you ask a friend for help again and again you can bet that eventually that friend will get annoye…

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki FAteh I am a practicing Sikh and wear a full beard which I tie up and am a professional. I'm relatively new on this board and have posted a in reply to other posters on various topics. The reason why i say all this is because I am going to ask a few questions which some of you may find either offensive or you may agree/disagree with me. First of all, I find that in the UK (where I live) the younger generation who turn to Sikhism turn into it very fundamentally. I mean there are many who start wearing the full kit..Nihanga wala chola..loose beard, and various kirpans and even a spear and the karra with beads. Dont get me wrong, I'm …

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! During Baba Deep Singh Ji's time spent at Talwandi Sabo, Baba Ji hand-wrote 5 Saroops. The fifth was written in Arabic language! and it is said it is currently at Baghdad University! Does anyone have any other information on this? and if it is at Baghdad University , Does it get the proper respect ? and is it treated like an actual Saroop by the Sewadars ( if they are there ) at the University? Please respond with any information on this! Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

I was reading Reuters and came across an article which reads that two Chinese individuals from NYC have sued CNN for $1.3 Billion ($1/Chinese in China). The suit came after Jack Cafferty made comments which Chinese public thought were offending, wrong, and made Chinese community look bad. The complete article is below in quotes. Now my question is, I don't know how many times Sikhs have been slandered in news/media across the world but we have mere done anything but 'yell'. How come Sikhs don't use or take such judicial steps, so that something which happened in the past never happens in the future???? NOTE: IF YOU ARE GOING TO POST A REPLY, BE PROFESSIONAL AND US…

many of us are saddened by the fact our political religious and average sikhs cant seem to make Gurmat decisions. whenever they have an opportunity to stand up and represent Sikhi they seem to fail or they choose the side that is the opposite of Sikhi. like the issue of 1984, political prisoners, anand marriage beadbi and a host of other issues the root of the problem is that no one is given a Gurmat education in our community, but we are expected to know everything about Gurmat. think about it, how many people on this forum learned about Gurmat at gurdwara. Mostly None. we learned how to write punjabi and learned couple of stories. Did our family teach us Gurmat, n…

PTI | May 9, 2013, 07.51 PM IST NEW DELHI: Three people were on awarded life imprisonment in a 29-year-old 1984 anti-Sikh riots case by a Delhi court which said the offences were grave as the victims of a particular community had been targeted and the acts of the convicts were most gruesome in nature. District judge JR Aryan gave life term to ex-councillor Balwan Khokkar, Girdhari Lal and retired naval officer Captain Bhagmal for murder and rioting in the case in which senior Congress leader Sajjan Kumar was acquitted on April 30, which CBI had reportedly said would challenge in the Delhi high court. The court rejected CBI's plea for death sentence to Balwan, Lal and…

All Sikhs need to do now is organize a central Sikh body government of Khalistan, a disciplined military force and start issuing currency and they will have the much promised area of freedom within the Indian union as Nehru had assured the Sikhs in 1946. Sikhs had 6 independent kingdoms prior 1947 and the most active armies was the Sikh kingdoms of patiala, jind and faridkot. When the Raja's of those kingdoms gave their lot in with the Indian union thinking they can have high positions of power in the indian government. They gave away Sikh autonomy by disbanding their armies and merging them with the Indian national army. Sikhs in punjab need to start thinking about org…
