Some of Sant Gurbachan Singh Bhindranwale Jee's students no longer share the same view as Sant Jee. Examples of such students are Sant Hari Singh Jee Randawa and Giani Inderjit Singh Ji. Both of these former students have a lot of Gian and are worthy of respect because of their Gian but it seems they have drifted away from their former teacher greatly. They should not be seen as representing the views of Sant Gubachan Singh Bhindranwale as it is often done by the followers of these two former students of Sant Jee. They should be seen based on their own merit and views. The true inheritors of Sant Jee's views are the Gianis of Taksal from Mehta and Bhinder Kalan.

Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh ji Maharaj here makes it clear that Satguru is talking about a spiritual state and it has nothing to do with starting a sect called udasis or being an udasis as Sri Chand was. Hari Singh Randhawa needs to read the whole shabad before doing arth of this one tuk and presenting the tuk to the sangat as if Satguru is saying i am udasis. Listening to this katha Sant ji says that Satguru adorned the udasi garb to teach the udasis what it really means to be an udasi. Sant ji gives the example of how Satguru went to Mecca and Satguru adorned the blue garb. Just because Satguru adorned the blue garb of the Muslims doesn’t mean Satguru became a Muslim or started the Muslim religion. Again Hari Singh Randhawa has failed to learn from his teacher (Sant ji and Bhai Gurdas ji) and has distorted Bhai Gurdas Ji’s Vaars to support Udasis. Hari Singh Randhawa is adding his own man made theories here to support what he believes for whatever reason. Vaar 01 Pauri 38 - Baba Aaiya Kartarpur The above Katha starts at 2:25 Katha on Nirmal Panth: Vaar 01 Pauri 45 - Ziaarat Kar Multaan Di Vaar 01 Pauri 45 - Ziaarat Kar Multaan Di - Version 02 Nirmal Panth is first mentioned at 4:50 to 6:00. Here Sant ji refers to Sikhi as the Nirmal Panth which Satguru started and where Satguru Sri Guru Angad Dev ji Maharaj was the second Guru of this Nirmal Panth. In the second version of the above Katha Sant ji makes it even more clear that Satguru is refering to the Khalsa Panth, by saying in farsi this Panth is called Khalsa Panth. But if you listen to Hari Singh Randhawa he distorts Bhai Gurdas Ji Vaars and says Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji Maharaj started the Nirmal Samprada. This is wrong because the Nirmal Samprada, which Hari Singh is refering to, was started by Bhai Daya Singh ji. Then again Hari Singh to confuse the sangat says in the 10th form Satguru increased this Nirmal Panth. So Hari Singh should be asked why are you distorting Bhai Gurdas Ji Vaars? Why not do the correct arth of Bhai Gurdas Ji Vaars like your teacher Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh ji Maharaj does? Hari Singh Randhawa also says the Gurus did puja of Sri Chand. Correct me if im wrong and misheard. This is a huge insult to the Gurus by Hari Singh Randhawa. What is Hari Singh’s evidence for this, what is his source? Surely not Bhai Gurdas Ji Vaars or Gurbani because both sources tell us that Sri Chand went against Satguru and the former source tells us that Sri Chand could not find liberation. Does Bhai Gurdas Ji Vaars or Gurbani say anywhere that Satguru started udasi or was a udasi? From Sant Ji’s katha, he has made it clear this was not the case at all. The reason i personally don't beleive that the Jathedar of Budha Dal automatically is the Jathedar of Sri Akhal Takhat Sahib is becuase Bhai Mani Singh was both the Head Granthi & Sri Akal Takhat Sahib Jathedar and he was not and has never been the Jathedar of Budha Dal. So even though Akali Phula Singh was Jathedar but as prior to him, Bhai Mani Singh was too the Jathedar shows that Budha Dal's Jathedars don't automatically assume the role of the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib. I don't accept Budha Dal being the Panjva Takhat. Up until 1966, there was only 4 takhats (Damdama Sahib became the 5th in 1966), so with only 4 Takhats, the Fifth Takhat was the Khalsa Panth and not solely Budha Dal

Both of you are right. The fault lies with the lack of a central body or organisation that Ishwar Singh could have contacted to provide an English speaking Sikh who could have done the invocation. Ishwar Singh is at fault for nor knowing his limitations and the 'Indian' accent would have just strengthened the sterotype that Sikhs are new immigrants to America rather than that they have over 100 years of history in the country. I think the lack of a politically aware English speaking Sikh might have had something to do with the fact that most of these Sikhs are aligned to the Democratic Party and some of them have claimed that asking a Sikh to do an invocation is just a political stunt on the part of the Republic Party. But these Sikhs should be aware that they need to use every opportunity to inform Americans of who Sikhs are.

I don't get what the big fuss is over this Hari Singh Randhawa and all those people who are falling over themselves claiming he's a Mahanpurush or Brahmgyani. He is fooling the common Sikhs by trying to claim that Guru Nanak started the Udasis and Nirmalas. He is doing this twisting Gurbani. From what videos I have seen of him, and thanks to our resident Neo with his trusty Brahmgiani radar, he appears a major FAKE. No doubt people will come on here and start writing about his bhagti and what he has done for Sikhi but the video proves he is someone with an agenda.

You have to admire the BBC because their bending to Muslim sensibilities is legendary and the people in charge are on record as saying they would not consider making a comedy offensive to Muslims because of the violent reaction from Muslims. Akal Takht was the only Takht during the times of the Gurus and well into the 19th Century. So the claim that Budha Dal that they are the Panjvan Takht is of recent vintage probably going back to the 1920s. You can only be a Panjvan Takht when there are four already accepted Takhts. Now if the Budha Dal claimed to be a Doosra or Dooja Takht then that would imply that their claim could go back to when Budha Dal came into existence in 1730s.

These communist Sikhs are the biggest hypocrites amongst us. My uncle for example is very proud of his communist beliefs. He will ridicule religious Sikhs every chance he gets. He hangs a picture of stalin in his house and his son hangs a picture of Che Guevara in his room. They will say the most disgusting things against the Shaheed Singhs of 84 and after because they took up the gun to fight injustices. When I point towards their idols(stalin and Che) and say why didn't Stalin put down his guns before hitler or why did Che Guevara fight all his youthful life and die in the end fighting, to this they have no answer. These communists have caused the most damage to the Sikhs in the 20th century. Because of their anti Sikh lifestyle, almost all their daughters have married non Sikhs(including my communist uncle's daughter!). When they see their daughters marrying non Sikhs they wonder what went wrong. It is best to keep these communists away from the Gurdwara committees. Whenever they become religious they almost always adopt the atheistic philosophy of of Gurbaksh Singh Kala Afghana. Not surprisingly since Kala Afghana, Gagha are all former communists themselves. It's the Gurdwara prabhandaks that allow their chums (usually business partners or friends of business partners of their relatives, and so on) onto the stage on a Sunday afternoon - whilst everyone is licking their fingers after eating their kraah prashaad - that should look at themselves in the mirror. Of course nobody is holding a gun to a voter, but as a Gurughar prabhandhak I would think it would be best to only invite those MPs to speak to the sangat who have firm and concrete policies to benefit the Sikh community. But I guess that's too much to ask for our dodgy elders.

Balbir Singh was Baba Santa Singh's Garvaee Singh (close attendant) and did his seva...some say that when Baba Santa Singh became ill, Balbir Singh is supposed to have forcefully taken control of property through forced thumb prints and so he took control over Budha Dal by force. Today, some accept him as Jathedar out of fear/greed/apathy, while others have boycotted him. Hence why you now have Baba Surjeet Singh also being seen as the Jathedars of Budha dal and his absence while in jail, it is Baba Joginder Singh (Rakba).

Change has to come within Sikh Community. If we keep voting for opportunist, individuals who exploit the community, then we have no reason to whine collectively as community. We bring punjab mentality here which gives our so called leaders to flirt with the idea of punjab type politics. In general, we as community need to set the bar high or precedent that just because you have dhara or some punjabi sikh name in election does not mean you will get automatic votes. So many Sikhs live in Thailand, Malasia, Singhapore yet no translation in Thai, Malay or Chinese. We have Sikhs living in every state of India, we should have translations in all the local languages. So many Sikhs live in Dubai who have knowledge of Arabic, yet we don't have any translations in Arabic either. I don't know any of these languages but I wish I did. If one cannot translate all of SGGS I can understand, but atleast one who has knowledge of anyone of these languages should try to translate some Gurbani maybe starting off with Japji Sahib and then slowly the rest of the Nitnem and posting it on the internet. This is a great way to do Parchar of Gurbani and also seva.

Donated what I could. Really sad to say, not many comments/donations for this noble cause, but the Post "20 Sikhs converted to Christianty" is flooded with posts. We are good on posting, we moan when other religion missionairies champion in donations/charities to help the human cause, but we never take immediate and necessary action when and where required for our own brethern. Okay, I am really confused about this topic as well.. but about jhootha there is a shabad from Gurbani: http://www.sikhitothemax.com/Page.asp?SourceID=G&PageNo=&ShabadID=2010 ਦੂਧੁ ਤ ਬਛਰੈ ਥਨਹੁ ਬਿਟਾਰਿਓ || The calf has contaminated the milk in the teats. ਫੂਲੁ ਭਵਰਿ ਜਲੁ ਮੀਨਿ ਬਿਗਾਰਿਓ ||੧|| The bumble bee has contaminated the flower, and the fish the water. ||1|| ਮਾਈ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਹਾ ਲੈ ਚਰਾਵਉ || O mother, where shall I find any offering for the Lord's worship? ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਫੂਲੁ ਅਨੂਪੁ ਨ ਪਾਵਉ ||੧|| ਰਹਾਉ || I cannot find any other flowers worthy of the incomparable Lord. ||1||Pause|| So pretty much this states that pretty much everything is 'jhootha' and we cannot really claim anything as 'pure' or 'sucha' in that means..but i do believe in proper sanitation and also I am questionable about the fact that amritdharis should only eat from amritdharis.. what difference does that make if we say that god resides in all of us.. and this is another shabad that kinda states that all the stuff we do to attain 'purity' is worthless..Isn't that the same thing that the bramins did? ਅਭਾਖਿਆ ਕਾ ਕੁਠਾ ਬਕਰਾ ਖਾਣਾ || They eat the meat of the goats, killed after the Muslim prayers are read over them, ਚਉਕੇ ਉਪਰਿ ਕਿਸੈ ਨ ਜਾਣਾ || but they do not allow anyone else to enter their kitchen areas. ਦੇ ਕੈ ਚਉਕਾ ਕਢੀ ਕਾਰ || They draw lines around them, plastering the ground with cow-dung. ਉਪਰਿ ਆਇ ਬੈਠੇ ਕੂੜਿਆਰ || The false come and sit within them. read the whole shabad.. http://www.sikhitothemax.com/page.asp?ShabadID=1738 If your mind is strong then why does it matter who prepared your food.. and logically there is no way that the food that we eat only comes in contact with amritdharis only and what makes you think that washing it makes it any 'pure' (not referring to sanitation)? you do not know where it was sitting and who packed it..and i guess we can argue about this all we want.. everybody has different mentality on this issue...I think if your naam-simran is so strong these things shouldn't mean anything to you..
