Sun Smaadhi(turiya atet) is also deep sleep state without any desire, no thoughts, no sense of individuality or ego, or sense of time but is pure awareness thoughtless state as its sun smadhi of Atma/real self. Sant baba gurbachan singh bhindranwale explained sun smadhi beautifully in gurbani katha of 21st asthpadi of sukhmani sahib, it is also known as bhramgyan parloa where individuals perceptions, thoughts, desire, sense of I, individuality everything gets destroyed-everything fold itself into Ikongkar/Sun Samadhi....In partial sun smadhi-turiya (dual consciousness- jevan mukht) one comes back in this earth/back to its body to do its duties like sant mahapursh/karak bhramgyanis and when sant mahapurs/karak bhramgyani mahapursh goes in full sun smadhi (turiya atet avastha) there is no coming back, one becomes Ik0ngkar Pure Awareness Consciousness Bliss..!!

Savinderpalji, I think that Sunn Samadhi is the higest level of simran that comes after rom rom. There is no doubt that a person in sunn Samadhi has waheguru in every rom as you stated. But my understanding is that it is the Ultimate higher state where there are NO THOUGHTS at all and the involuntary mind thoughts all completely diminish !! A person in sunn Samadhi not only has no thoughts but even the concept of time vanishes.

Goreh are slowly realizing that their western values mostly do not give them inner peace and are drawn to sikhi, where as apne girls and boys want to be westernized, ok there are good points to their way of live too, but like i say they are slowly realizing but apne are heading down a path of destruction, so i think marrying a gori who is interested in sikhi is far way better than an apne who is not, had i have been in the same situation 20 years ago or my kids are in the same situation in years to come, i know what decision i will make, and the talkers in our community can whistle!!! ok what about the apne who have married apnia who refuse to take amrit, you cant give a guarantee about anyone, it is all in Guru ji's hands.

I remember how the media was used a few years ago to put out 'positive' stories of how Sikhs are rebuilding old Mosques and helping Muslims build new ones, At that time I thought there must be some conspiracy here. Now it seems my view was right. The Badals have allowed the murderer Alam to turn the Punjab Waqf Board into a cash rich subversive organisation which is giving cash to poor Sikhs to convert and also creating colonies of Bhaiya Muslims in the Sikh heartland. Interesting how the so-called Guru Ki Maseet was also brought into prominence at that time.

Veerji this is the manmat method that Pakhandi Babe usually advise. It is contrary to Gurmat and fake examples are usually given to justify it. Veerji when Banda Singh Bahadur himself followed Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj the question of Bhai Mani Singh using the Pakhandi Sadh method of parchian (gambling) does not arise. It's a shame we have stooped so low as to even propagate lies on Bhai Mehtab Singh and Bhai Sukha Singh regarding the parchi method when our Guru Sahib has all the answers.

I should point out that it isn't the fact that her skin is white that is making me have doubts, there are 2 other reasons: 1) I want to raise my kids to be Sikhs, so naturally I will be teaching them Punjabi. My GF does not speak Punjabi, so it would be hard to have a Punjabi-speaking environment at home. I want my future kids to be able to read/write Gurmukhi too, so they can read Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji without needing to use English translations. 2) My parents. I do not know how they will react to me bringing home a white girl. I am pretty sure they wouldn't be too happy though. But other than that, I could definitely see myself getting married to her in the future once we are done with Uni. She knows how seriously I take my Sikhi, and that I want to start a Sikh family in the future, so the fact that she has stuck around shows me that she is willing to (if we get married) bring the kids up as Sikhs, she would have no problem with it. @Ek_Sikh: Yeah I've seen keshdari guys go out with Hindu and Muslim girls too. I really don't know what it is, for some reason, the majority of apnea kuddiya don't have much respect for the turban and beard. There isn't much you can do about it though, I think that the kesh acts as a great filter to keep away immature girls who aren't long-term relationship material. This girl asked me out, so right away I knew that she cared about more than just appearances (although tbh, I consider myself to be a pretty good looking guy, not trying to brag lol), and she has proved me right over the past couple of weeks. I think that most keshdari guys who complain about girl problems are the ones that only go for Punjabi girls. She told me how much of a relief it was for her to meet a guy who actually shared her straight edge lifestyle and drive to do sewa (although she doesn't call it that obviously). I have been told over and over again throughout my life by girls that the most attractive trait in a guy is for him to stand up for what he believes in. Kesh is a symbol that you believe in Sikhi values of selfless service, equality of all mankind, no drugs/alcohol, fighting against injustice etc... a guy that cuts his hair for girls is pathetic. If a guy cuts his hair to win over a girl, I'd bet my life that the girl is going to end up dumping him in the future, because if she can make you give up your Sikhi, she knows she can make you do anything she wants, and she will lose all respect for you. And a girl who does not respect you is a girl who won't stay with you. Real men, pioneers, leaders, do not care what the world throws at them, they stand tall in the face of all adversity and never throw away what they believe in, for that would be the death of their soul. It is for this reason that I have decided that I would rather remain single for the rest of my life than cut my hair to try and get with some immature girl. Even many Keshdhari Punjabi girls are not good. E.g from my 1st hand experience, I married a Punjabi Keshdhari Sikh girl. However I found her to be a liar and deceitful. Lying all the time. I am on a verge of a divorce and this woman keeps lying to court now all the time to get advantages. So who would you marry? A Keshdhari girl who is a liar, dishonest ( not Sikh values) Or a Non sikh girl, who is honest, truthful with a good moral character( Sikh values). I would marry somebody who is Sikh at heart, because she can always become a Sikh physically later.However, its hard to make change somebody's inner self( e.g haumai, krodh, jhooth, ninda) It hurts to see somebody say that he/she is a Sikh but acts completely opposite.

Really ?? Whenever, I hear some gursikh mention this, then I'm not always too sure if they are enlightened or not. As far as I understand, someone who is enlightened relies totally on divine intuition and their ego would not be in the way of making such choices difficult. Ego- is what creates this uncertainty of what should be in the best of our interests ! Anyway, this is my understanding for my current level of spirituality !! :biggrin2:

Fully true. 1) Alot of Biharis, UPites migrants were Muslims. 2) Many mosques have been rebuilt in the last decade. 3) The once virtually empty mosque of Ludhiana has lakhs of <banned word filter activated> praying on Friday. 4) Gujjar invasion of Punjab, they are illegaly making settlements on lands. 5) Love Jihad (conversion of Sikh girls) has also started in Punjab; one case has been reported while others have gone unreported. 6) Huge cash of weapons was recovered from Jalandhar area in a Gujjar Dera some time back. 7) WikiLeaks reports of a report from the American Embassy that Muslims numbers are rising quickly in East Punjab and this will cause for problems in the future. It's not about the numbers. Muslims don't give two figs for the lakhs of Muslims who get killed in an earthquake or the Tsunami. It is the potential to create a fifth column of Muslims in the heartland of the Sikhs. To have a large number of Muslims able to cause havoc if there is another Indo-Pakistan war. The Punjab waqf board has an income of 202 million rupees. Giving 99,000 rupees to each of 480 would only be 23% of it's total income.

Follow your instinct and carry on if you are happy with this. I have to agree that some white people are MORE Sikh than our Punjabi lot. A cousin of mine who is full Sikh was in the same situation some years ago and was impressed by the attitude and behavior of this white gori. However, she claimed and believed to be atheist and then after learning about sikhi realized that it was a great religion without having some Abrahamic God and rituals as in other religions ! Anyway, they continued and got married and his white wife speaks Punjabi very well, dresses and cooks like all Punjabi women and is getting ready for amrit soon !! All the best ! Sikh body blames former DGP of conversion AMRITSAR : All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF), Peer Mohammad faction, has submitted a memorandum with Jathedar of Akal Takht Giani Gurbachan Singh seeking his intervention into the incident of alleged conversion of Sikhs into Islam by former DGP Mohammad Izhar Alam Khan. AISSF president Karnail Singh Peermohammad blamed on former Punjab top cop that he was allegedly converting poor Sikh children into Islam. He informed that a delegation comprising of senior Sikh scholars handed over a memorandum to Jathedar along with a 14 page petition signed by 565 Sikhs from US. The AISSF president alleged that Alam had so far contributed Rs 99000 each for the construction of more than 480 mosques besides he had installed Imam's of these mosques of his choice. "He had constituted 21 member committee of each mosque with majority of convert Sikhs as its members" said he. When contacted Alam said "My only comment is no comment" adding that earlier also a lot of people and organizations had leveled allegations against him . Peer Mohammad alleged that Alam as well as other senior Muslim police officer of Punjab had settled Muslim colonies in various parts of Punjab especially in Malwa where now mosques were being erected. He further alleged that many Sikhs who were earlier named Gurmial Singh, Gurtej Singh were now known as Gurmail Khan and Gurtej Khan after conversion. The Federation has demanded intervention of Akal Takht to hold an inqury into the incident and also urge state government to conduct a probe and prevent such a malpractice. Jathedar of Akal Takht Giani Gurbachan Singh said it was a serious issue . Indians stole our gurudwaras and their lands in 84. Lets get that back first and move onto Pakistan than. Amritsar too was our joint capital, same Amritsar where the armies of the country we live in raped our women and burnt our maharaj.

Brother, agreed that there is some benefit but its not just 3 persons killing an Indian student (could've been Sikh too). What about the 19 arrested this year? We just need to be more strict about whom we let in. Other states in India have laws such as: * Anti conversion law (atleast 5 states have it) and strict action against missionaries * Outsiders can't buy land. But in our own Punjab Christians are going crazy converting our brothers and sisters and Bhaiyye/Gujjar Muslims are buying huge lands... What is being done now in Punjab is a very sinister move, we have to wake up before we end up being a tiny minority of less than 40%. I am pretty certain that the Christian and Muslim population combined has reached somewhat near 10% (compared to 3-4% a decade earlier).

I recently came across thought..i wonder if its possible if bhai sahib ji and or senior gursikhs who are familiar and are into sikh mystic layer provide its assistance with bhai sahib ji and in calibration- create another cousin network- depth of sikhi where bhai jugraj singh veer also do parchar in depth of sikhi. ...Basic of sikhi and Depth of sikhi going hand in hand for parchar purposes..it be amazing. I know guru's grace cannot be obtained by intellectually talking about depth of sikhi and that basic concept of love itself will go all the way..but vichar. bairaag and bibek- filtering good from bad are attributes which help this jev quite a bit to develop unconditional love for guru maharaj - worship that one jot of akaal purkh prevading in all..!! When I was in punjab last year I noticed how many sufi make shift masjids contrusterd by bhaiya muslim migirants. No more tree hugging Sikhs it has to be made quite explict to muslims in Punjab that no new masjids will allowed to be built and no conversions of Sikhs will be tolerated. In fact there needs to be a drive to convert the muslims of kashmir and punjab to Sikhism. The warning signs where there but no Sikh organisation of Punjab took it seriously thinking it would play on the communal card and now a killer of the Sikh youths muhammad azar alam is now grooming and converting impressionable young punjabi kids to the tyranny of Islam and on top of that he is building new masjids on holyland of Sikhs to rub further salt into our kaums wounds.

Immigration changing Punjab's demographics in interesting ways: Roemer (Wikileaks) By Vijay Sharma on Wed, 08/31/2011 - 13:05 US politician and Obama's first ambassador Timothy Roemer, a keen observer of demographic trends, rather dramatically describes the changes taking place in the Indian state of Punjab due to immigration from Eastern India and Bangladesh. Based on his interaction with social and political leaders from the state, Roemer also noted that the Islamic religion -- swept out from Punjab during the Partition -- was also making a return with the migrants. "Mosques in Punjab, once padlocked after the partition of Indian in 1947 and the ensuing mass exodus of Punjabi Muslims into Pakistan, are reopening and thriving," he said, quoting Pradeep Kashyap, the Vice-Chairman of the US-based American India Foundation. "It will bear watching how the Punjabi population (and the state government) react if the Muslim call to prayer becomes more pervasive across the state in the years ahead," Roemer said in the February 2010 cable published by Wikileaks. He was writing to Washington soon after violent clashes between 'locals' and 'outside laborers' in Punjab in December 2009. Quoting others, Roemer pointed out that if it was the (mostly Dalit) workers from UP and Bihar who came in the first wave of immigration to agricultural Punjab, they are now being replaced by the even cheaper Bangla-speaking Muslims, presumably from Bangladesh. For now, he points out, it is the economics, rather than religious prejudice, that seems to be winning, going by the acceptance of these laborers in a state that had the bloodiest history of Hindu-Muslim violence during the Partition of India. "Punjab, on both sides of the border, experienced what we would call ethnic cleansing today. There were almost no Muslims left in Indian Punjab, today, that is no longer true. Partition based on religion seems irrelevant in the face of economics," Roemer quoted Kashyap. Many Punjabi business owners are grateful for cheap labor, praising migrant laborers for becoming "the backbone of both industry and agriculture in Punjab" after each instance of violent clashes in Punjab, Roemer went on. "According to the Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings, Ludhiana alone has 700,000 migrant workers. For Punjab as a whole, the numbers comfortably run in the millions. According to media reports, most of these laborers make between USD $80-$130 a month, and live in dingy rooms with eight to ten occupants to save money. "Avtar Singh, general secretary of the Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings said that industry in the city is already facing a 25% labor shortage because migrants had left Punjab fearing increased violence. Industrial and agricultural organizations joined forces and urged greater security for migrant workers from state government officials," Roemer reported. However, not everyone in Punjab is happy about the change as Roemer also found out. "Herkawaljit Singh, of the Punjabi language Ajit Group, echoed the discomfort many Punjabis feel with the rise of Muslim and Dalit migrant communities. He told PolOff that the migrants were "culturally different" from Punjabis and did not integrate into mainstream Punjabi society," he pointed out.

It is unfortunate so many people died in partition, but one must wonder, if Sikhs did not clear east Punjab of Muslims, what role those Muslims would have played during the Sikh militancy years of 80s and 90s. If only one Muslim i.e. Azhar Alam can cause so much death to the Sikh kaum, imagine what millions would have done. Azhar Alam now trying to spread Islam amongst the Sikhs is a very sinister thing to do. Agreed but there are many Gursikhs who do try very hard to fight the five vices, but still the 5 get the better of them, it is only through Guru Kirpa constant prayer, Naam simran and Ardas that one can get free of them and truly reach an elevated avastha (as it has been called here). At the end of the day why should it be easy to meet Waheguru ji he is the Lord God supreme Master of all creation, so why should it be easy!!
