  1. Oh spare us the BS bro. We aint no justice league anymore, fighting for the rights of the poor and innocent. Most of these fools just have a hard on for muslims and throw a fit if anyone says anything remotely anti-islamic. Its the only time they will "speak out," if theres every any serious physical work to be done, theyll be nowhere to be seen. Nor will they speak out on behalf of a non-muslim community.Lol some of these people wont even say "im sikh not muslim" because its politically incorrect.

  6. Predictably, you've missed the point of the complaints. Nobody, certainly not myself, has claimed you're manufacturing anything. I believe you're telling the truth, in as much as you saw and felt what you claimed you did. What I'm questioning are your motivations. Also, the strength of one's religiosity and spirituality is not measured by how difficult you, or anyone else, has had it in life. That way lies an almost inverse snobbery, whereby the assumption is that only the destitute are capable of realising God. (Although I believe that to be untrue, a cursory glance at modern religious Sikhs does send mixed signals to anyone who cares to observe such issues. But that's a subject for another time.) Again, nobody is saying that at all. What I am saying is, per your own words, you unwittingly revealed a glaring insight into your mind, when you defined getting an extension done as the contributor to a hugely stressful year. That's such a terribly middle class thing to say, lol. It showcases an insensitivity to people who experience genuine hardships and stresses not brought upon the shallow inconvenience of having their comfortable existence perturbed for a few weeks due to having thousands of pounds available to extend their home, adding further value to their property. You made it sound as if you were undergoing a life-destroying ordeal; how does one justify demanding or wishing for a holy experience in such mundane and unimportant circumstances? If that's all you've known, then you can't really be blamed. But some awareness beyond your own existence would've told you that others find God through the most trying of circumstances, and to hear someone sermonising about their experiences, which really aren't that exceptional, only serves to promote even further the belief that God is not real, and that these experiences are self-willed and self-induced, especially if he turns up to comfort someone who's flustered at getting their house extended! All those souls who pray for comfort and darshan when being abused; suffering from starvation; suffering from life-threatening illnesses, why does He not offer them affirmation as to His existence? So, you see how that can damage people's faith? I did not mean to upset you or cast doubt on the validity of your experiences. For any crossed wires, I sincerely apologise.

  8. Yeah of course I would, the thing about Muslims is that we can help them in the name of humanity but we should use extreme caution when helping them when it comes to their religious matters. You say after Muslims Trump will come after Sikhs fair enough (even though I think that will not be the case). But also when Muslims to start outnumbering other minorities their attitude always changes from oppressed to oppressors just look at history

  13. Nah, we all know dasmesh pita wants us to to train and be be as prepared for trouble as we can be. That's the conversation we need to be having. If you can't do this (or don't want to) for whatever reason, fair enough - but don't undermine people who push this. We weren't supposed to sitting around idly waiting for miracles to save us in times of trouble.

Well because we r not that stupid, that we r gona spill our blood for others, knowing full well we get nutin out of it. The singhs waited for that battle to end, n smash the victors of that, knowing they wud b knackred, vulnerable n weak, n it worked like a charm. I often post entries across from Tisarpanth, Sri Sarabloh Granth FB page and Dasam Granth Granth to average joe sikh pages , the youth and ordinary are wowed by the knowledge and seem to be thankful for the knowledge . We just need to work towards upping our own and others knowledge and curiousity levels. When they start spouting that Dasam Bani is all about sex or devi devtey I post links to Nihangs explaining arth and rationale behind it all

  21. I did this yesterday and although I only listened to paath and not did it myself, it was nice to just sit down and take half an hour out of your life to just escape the madness! Yes verily true. This is best thing we can do for Wahiguru and ourselves . It is like a son taking out time from time, to spend it with his beloved FATHER. You see, time is what Wahiguru wants us to spend with Him. Then He gives Himself to us in return. Then having Him with us, what else can one ever need. As the Bani says: Jis que oopar Toon Swami, toh dukh kaisaa paveh Sat Sree Akal.

  22. Completely agree with you, its amazing how anti-sikh punjabi atheist liberal leftists have infiltrated sikhi and made our kaum align themselves with islamo-fascists. These people like Arashdeep singh need to be exposed and called out especially social media. You can guarantee that protester fool would not dare speak out or protest against pedo muslim rape gangs if they sexually abused his daughter or sister because its politically incorrect to do so and it would hurt islams feelings lol

  23. Whatever feelings you've got for Trump, my opinion is that the kind of atmosphere he is going to create in future (and is creating), isn't going to be conducive to a nice environment for any brown people Sikh, Muslim or Mexican in the US. Then, we have to factor in the US's influence globally (especially in places like the UK), where his open bigotry will help normalise abuse amongst the public.

  26. " When a spiritual experience occurs you do not realise that you were actually praying for it. " Sikhni777 penji, I don't wish to offend you, but there are some sentences of yours I don't agree with, such as this one above also. My understanding is that Waheguru are the ones that grace the experience, not us praying for it. People maybe praying, but it does not mean their praying is the cause of the experience. Their devotion towards Waheguru may play a part in the nimrata and love they have for Waheguru, but I feel it is Waheguru that actually graces in their Hukam. Una de hath dorh a, Sade nai ji. They can give an experience to whoever they wish, regardless of how much they pray for it. Although it nice for you that you had an experience, which you should cherish yourself. But, who are we to say that is the reason they give it? Surely it's Waheguru's decision alone, of who they grace. God's, Waheguru's darshan can be seen anywhere, but it's just that our karm and Haumai do not allow us to. When we hear Gurbani that is also darshan, when we go to Gurdwara and matha tek to Maharaj ji, that is having darshan of them too through Gurbani. Well that's my understanding.

  28. By rights a resolution passed by Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib against the anti-Dasam faction should be the most powerful strike our qaum is capable of mustering against their movement. That was the situation in our forebears' days. In reality though, all these tankhaiyas are completely ineffective these days because the body which is passing them is weak and lacking the united support of our Panth. Not that I blame Sikhs for withholding their allegiance to such a rotten institution. Even I ignore Gurbachana and everything he has to say about anything. But when the biggest and most influential jathebandia and sampardaay of the Sikh world, the AKJ, the Taksaal, the Nihang Singhs openly ignore the determinations of Akaal Takhat and even set up their own rehat maryadas in direct opposition to Akaal Takhat's own, you can't really expect a group of fringe heretics to take them seriously. What we need is for all these squabbling jathebandia and the rest of the Sikh world to swallow their corrosive pride and unite beneath the aegis of Akaal Takhat once we've expelled the traitors and charlatans from it's halls. Only then, when Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib is once again what Guru Sahib intended it to be, will the tankhaiyas passed against Darshan and his chele have their devastating intended effect.

  29. CORRECT METHODOLOGY/JUGTEE OF NAAM SIMRAN Guru Sahibans throughout the Bani have strongly stressed on Simran, but do we really know its value? And the way it should be done so it does the desired effect in us? First of all we should be thankful to our Guru Sahibans, for giving us this Sukhmani, the Jewel with which we can achieve true and permanent happiness, and moreover it costs nothing. We should continue repeating it, like a small child: one, two, three, four.... which will form a ladder within us, and take us to His Lotus Feet. By Simran alone we can develope strong will power, as it is a great force by itself. It should be done patiently and vigorously, without a break. It should be incessant, unceasing, continous and constant. Sat Sree Akal.

Many apnay have such comfortable lives these days, that they don't have a perception or experience of genuine difficulties and hardships, like what apnay have experienced for centuries i.e. being a refugee trying to flee Pakistan surrounded by murderous, raping mobs.

  31. It would depend on what you want to use your experience for. Any sakhi or story about real dharshan that I have ever heard has encouraged me to say my prayers with even more devotion. Sunat kehat rehat ghat pavo... from Sikhmani sahib. It tells us to listen to the word of God and to tell others too - this means to encourage others to pray to God too. Apart from that it is very important to live the word and a righteous life too. Avar updese aap na kare. avat jaave janme mare - this means that if you are telling other to do it and not doing it yourself - then you will fall in the churasi yourself too. So when you tell others to do naam jap it is very important that you do it too.

  33. You seem to be on a one man mission to rubbish the findings of respected medical professionals kds1980. Inadvertently however, all you've done is pretty much back up the conclusions the study came to. The study, if you remember, came to the conclusion that the physical difference between Sikh Punjabis and Hindu Punjabis was so vast that it would be silly to portray them as one race with the same characteristics. So, with the Sikhs coming top of the height survey and top of the weight survey......and Hindus coming bottom of the weight survey and bottom of the height survey your princeton study results of the 'average height of adult Punjabis' is pretty much correct given how the almost 50/50 hindu-sikh split in Punjab makes the 'average adult Punjabi' a cross between a tall strong Sikh and a lighweight short-ar$e Hindu.

  34. I'll admit, it's much, much easier to live that dietary lifestyle when you've not known the alternative. But, to be fair, growing up and getting about in the world, I've had chances to eat non-veg, but it's never a decision that's appealed to me. Even if I wasn't a Sikh, I don't imagine I'd be a meat-eater. I'm not a PETA activist, but I can't quite reconcile myself with the thought of an animal dying for my taste buds. But I've never judged those who do eat meat, unlike most religious non-meat eating Sikhs who seem to think it's THE defining quality of a decent Sikh and all other qualities are secondary, which is utter nonsense. Once you train your mind to view food as fuel and not something to get excited about, the mind and body can begin to be at peace when it comes to food issues at least. As such, I eat only what I need in order to have enough energy to train hard. I avoid food that settles in the stomach and bring about lethargy, which is, unfortunately, many types of food. Fresh vegetables, some fruits, rotis made wholly of wholemeal flour, semi-skimmed milk (apologies vegans, but I need milk else my bones would've turned to dust with the issues I've had), and porridge are what I consume. I stay very, very active, so it's not as if I'm low on energy by not consuming meat. The will has to be there. If you're determined not to eat meat, you'll find alternatives no problem. If, however, you're still at the stage where the tongue overrides your decision-making, then it's a struggle. Importantly, ensure the tadkeh for your daals and sabziya are as light as you can make them. We all need a bit of grease to keep joints lubricated and to stop us from drying out internally, but not on the levels the old-timers in our community poured into food. That kind of nonsense will destroy most training and dietary efforts that are positive. The above works for me. I appreciate it may not be everyone's cup of tea.

How will nidars christian and muslim students feel about his RSS LINKS ! how many times have we told his student that he is RSS, and they have defended him - how can they defend him now even when he dropped the Hindu from his Hindu-Sikh Shastarvidiya title - it was due to his students not being able to justify it to others. the cat is out of the bag - he has succeeded in turning you guys (his students) against his own people - you bunch of dumb muppets your people are languishing in jails and countless mothers have lost their sons to policies inspired by their ideology and you still come here to defend him. he is a joke - and anyone that sticks with him now will be a joke do yourselves a favour - scrape together any last ounce of dignity you may have left and make peace with your fellow sikhs and do some seva, rebuild lost links to sikhi, to make up for the damage that has been done by this RSS infiltrating scumbag. and if that isn't enough just go ask his wife and kids how they feel about him. to those that have realised nidar was dodgy all along, it is never to late to mend old friendships, and we are here to help not judge so please do get in touch if you want to talk about it there is no shame to admit a mistake and make amends through seva and helping others not to make the same mistake. we have always conducted ourselves in a peaceful manner and only sought to highlight and educate others with reason and evidence.

Miri-Piri living teaches us to remember Waheguru ji as described in Mool Mantar, while we live normal working lives with our families, sharing with others and taking part in the life of our community called the Khalsa Panth. Our Ten Guru ji's taught us about Miri-Piri living through own lives over the period 1469 to 1708. All that they taught us is in Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. In the Miri-Piri seminar, we learn together the meaning of the two words "Miri" and "Piri" by looking at simple examples from nature, and from Sikh history to see why it is so important for a Sikh to live a life of Miri-Piri as taught by our Guru ji. Sikhi words will be used and explained. Please do register interest and arrive before 2.00 PM. Further Reading Articles by S. Gurmukh Singh can be read under Articles on Sikh Idealogy & Identity Gurmukh Singh's weekly "News & Views" column in Panjab Times
