  4. yup I agree. Places are sinking. Things are becoming worse and it has just started. Humans kept destroying nature for profit and with no respect for it. The worst for us is yet to come. Drinking water in many places is drying up. Everything is polluted with chemicals. Gurbani talks about importance of nature and look what we did to it.

  5. Well, we know Karma is not simple and God works in mysterious ways, but I think some people would say this was 'karma'... https://www.channelnewsasia.com/asia/afghanistan-earthquake-61-magnitude-people-killed-2761796 At least 280 people killed in earthquake that struck eastern Paktika province in Afghanistan Map showing the 6. 1 magnitude earthquake that hit the eastern Paktika province of Afghanistan on Wednesday, Jun 22, 2022. The quake struck about 44 km from the city of Khost, near the Pakistani border, the US Geological Survey (USGC) said.

  6. Okay, but the whole story of how some older men essentially groom and 'turn' young vulnerable boys is something that doesn't get exposed because it is a norm amongst the ruling elites (as well as within certain priestly classes) in the west. These people have turned it into an art - like in posh boarding schools. Other ones further down the socio-economic scale target vulnerable street kids - often turning them into rent boys, and also somehow even turning some of them into paedos when they grow up. Yes, there are plenty of hetero paedos, but there are also plenty of paedos that are solely attracted to young males. It's very interesting that Guru ji has exposed this hundreds of years ago. See, dasmesh pita was no conservative, they didn't really believe in taboos like our people do now (probably white, protestant, victorian xtian influence from the colonial period). And please don't try and derail this important thread with your own personal issues.

  7. Well, there are several factors you have to consider: - How big the earthquake was on the richter scale - Type of area it happened in - How prepared the locals were This is a very backward area so they may not prepare like other countries. For example in Japan, there are drills for this, the buildings are built to withstand earthquakes etc. They also earthquake detection so at least some level of preparation can take place.

  9. Very difficult to say this is a result of Afghani Karma. Afghanistan is a mountainous country and sits on a tectonic fault line. Earthquakes are a natural occurance A few years ago, Japan suffered a 3-in-1 disaster, they had an earthquake, a tsunami and a nuclear plant meltdown. I don't know how this is a fault of their karma though.

  10. Now you probably did follow up further details of the above news. Security forces killed many terrorist and one of security person died as well. One Sikh killed in this attack. Attack was the reply to the racist and anti-national Party spokesperson. They are terrorist and the India Hindu person like Radharamn Das has nothing to loose as it was Sikh Gurdwara they attacked.

  12. I think that it is important to read this as we Sikhs currently lack understanding human nature or we feel guilty about some of the uglier aspects and we try to blot it out and focus on the positives. There is a deliberate ploy by certain parties to ensure Dasam Bani is kept from Sangat so to keep us in the dark. I for one will make an effort to read charitars

  13. Have you ever heard them talk about Italy once Britain enters their greedy horizons? They act as if Italy is a third world backwater. They treat it like a temporary stopover while milking the Italian benefits system to purchase property over there, which they then sell before moving to the UK. They say things like, "We want to come over to UK from Italy because of our kids' education." Yeah, you're all going to be curing cancer and developing interstellar travel. Clown show. Make no mistakes, these people are ice cold and calculating. There is no soul and warmth in these people. Machines. Absolute cogs and machines.

  14. Afghan Sikhs and Hindus have nothing to do with any insult. Any justification can be made to attack. Just leave that cesspool of a country. Also next time, some cattle gets slaughtered in UP and Hindutva thugs retaliate against muslims, let's keep our busy body noses out of it.

  20. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh, Before I write this benti to all Sangat - this is a post for advice, if you are going to come with a holier than thou attitude or ridicule then please do not bother replying! So I have just started wearing the Panj Kakkar, as practice before I take Amrit, and I have a question about the Kacchera. I work in in a professional role in central London, and today went to the bathroom to 'pee', I wiped my parts before re-tying my naala, when I looked down I noticed some residue on the kachera. Now I have been told before by family members that if this happens you need to do Ardaas and change your Kacchera immediately? Is this the case? I only ask because my family are kind of against me taking Amrit so not sure whether this is just hearsay or another way to deter me from taking Pahaul. I don't see anyway round this as there probably will always bee some kind of residue? Any Singhs that can provide any advice on this, will be much appreciated. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

  24. Yet again @mahandulai do you have nothing better to do than point fingers at either our doctrine, our way of life or the Kakkars. If you do not have the faith that's fair enough but do not bring your negativity to a site which : a) Is high spirited and proud of our History and achievements. b) Is here to support and Guide. I can understand if you has posed your question in a way in which others could maybve help you understand, however you submit point blank opinions with no evidence and expect a discussion! Pick up a history book - It'll do you wonders! Gur Fateh

  25. You would think that... September 2017 my 3 month prgeant wife and I were in India. our hotel was close by to Sri Bangla Sahib so we went for the evening Katha and Kirtan. Being pregnant we were aware of our surroundings so we were trying to be careful, I kidn of whispered in her ear to move to the side to do Matha tekh - and was then slapped on the back by a sevadaar telling me to be quiet. Bearing in mind im a 6ft1 guy I was a little shocked of all things! We did Matha and I went back up the the sevaddar and asked her what the problem was. We were told that we were breaking gur Maryada by talking in the Darbaar - which in turn fair enough if we were wrong we were wrong but I drew her attention to the visitors (Tourists from India and Out) that had their backs to Maharaaj and taking lewd selfies for the gram and likes. There was no response - our own institutions are too scared to say anything to tourists and non Sikh visitors just in case the 'maya' stops coming in. As I think someone else has said - you wouldn't go and take selfies like people do at Darbaar Sahib inside a Mandir or Masjid. We visited a Mandir in Delhi as part of our tour and were told specifically that all cameras (including phones) had to be left outside to protect the sanctity of the Mandir.

  26. Hi Phenji, Maharaj Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji did not do phere around agni like Hindus do... please see below: Mool Chand arranged for the Brahmin priests to debate the exact marriage rituals to be followed with the Guru. The Guru was sitting besides a crooked mud wall (kandh) discussing the marriage plans with the Brahmin clergy. As the wall was damaged and in poor state, and there had been recent rains, some in the bride's party thought that it may fall on top of the Guru. An elderly lady was asked by the bride's family to warn Guru Nanak about the danger. The old woman approached the Guru and warned him of the pending danger from the damaged wall. Guru Nanak just smiled and said "Mataji, ehh kand sadeeya layah nehee digdee..." - "This wall will not fall for centuries. The will of God shall prevail." In fact, the wall is still preserved within the Gurdwara Kand Sahib and a celebration is held here every year on the anniversary of Guru Nanak's marriage. In 1487, the marriage finally did take place, and it did ignore the Brahmin rituals. Guru Nanak and his bride took four rounds instead of the prescribed seven around the sacred fire. It is said that he also spoke a few words at the ceremony. Unfortunately, these words were not duly recorded and nothing has been written regarding Sulakhani's thoughts or sentiments on the subject. That the event had a profound effect on her can certainly be taken for granted. At any rate, the marriage party and celebrations were a grand and impressive event attended by the rich and influential people of that lime. Early writers have indicated that it was a most grand affair as befitted the daughter of the town's tax collector. Dera Sahib Gurdwara was built at the place where stood the house of Mul Chand, father of Bibi Sulakhni, wife of Guru Nanak Dev where the actually wedding took place. Kand Sahib Gurdwara, was built at the place where the marriage party of Guru Nanak Dev was made to rest before the wedding ceremony took place, hope this helps

  27. WJKK WJKF I recently got married, around 10 months ago, and my wife moved in with myself and my family. My family are religious to an extent but dad and bro are pagg wale with cut beards. The first few months of marriage were okay, from around April we have seen a lot of issues, such as : 1. "your wife doesn't do anything" ie when the mrs cooks and it isn't to my parents approval they won't eat it. 2. If we go out during the weekend / for dinner or social - we get told we are being disrespectful and that we have too much money for our own good. 3. I've just decided to grow out my Dari and have it prakash- that's also been ridiculed. Don't get me wrong every family has issues and every marriage has teething problems. We've had our ups and downs but the other week we got told quite viciously to leave the house as we were not wanted. So I adhered for myself and my wife a rented apartment etc. My question I guess is how would you have dealt with it ? It just feels as if the world and its dog is after us at the moment. any suggestions / help is appreciated thanks WJKK WJKF

  34. Baba Ranjit has implemented numerous projects - rather than questioning someone's action why not actually listen to their diwans and actually research the individual. He has organised many blood donation camps at many of his diwans; he has also initialised a hospital under the name of sant karam Singh charitable hospital. His parchaar has brought back sikhi to a lot of punjab as e does it in a clear and lamented way in order to make it understandable. Easy to point te finger at those who are speaking against Injustice how about ask yourself the question what have you or any of us actually done apart from be cyber warriors about it? I argued however as all know satkaar has to be done of our parents. I was so upset . Now I have decided to keep my dhari again, all I need is support from other young Sikhs and Gurmukh pyaare so I don't find myself in the same position! please help! Bhul Chuk Maaf!
