4) Gupt singhnee: you do not know the bibi involved, instead of taking the attidude "i dont care" do ardaas for her, and hope that Maharaj brings her back. You also stated that you would die before you converted to another religion. we need to understand people are living in socity with other faiths, and it's our own inscerity that people see and take advantage of that weakeness and explot the person to convert. If you already have the knowlege, morals and strong foundation then you have answer for everthing, you can't go wrong, keep in staight and narrow path.

Having gained the TRUTH from somebody close to her the situation is as follows:-

It is true she was a very chardikalla gursikh always doing beautiful keertan at the gurdvara, she is well known in the amritdhari sikh community. Her parents are amritdhari, father is a proper naam abiasi, they don't even allow for a television in the house, she also has gursikh sisters. The problem is that she just became full of nirasa (feeling hoplessness) and she wanted to break her rehat maryada and go out with some malesh keera (ant). She has also cut her hair and converted out of free will. What can you say but KALJUG VICH ANHONEE, HOVEIGEE.

Interim Plan of Action (mine)

*Tell all sikhs to boycott their as money generated from thier businesses , is what pays their boys rewards for converertion.

*Encourage sikh youths not to go colleges where "they" are in large numbers.

* Tell all sikh girls/punjabi girls that when partiton took place it was thier people who stabbed pregnent sikh women - and we know they did.

*Circluate what really happens to sikh girls who fall in love with these types i.e prostitution in pakistan

*Threaten Labour that sikhs will vote BNP, unless Labour do something about it like passing laws.

*All sikhs need to put poltical differences aside and unite against this subject.

Good ideas.........i had stopped using their buisness services an year ago, we simply don't need to fund them in any way. My family (khalsa panth) and my sisters (sikh girls) are dearer to me rather than these so called friends who donate money to 'eliminate kuffar' by any means. Do u have idea how dawah centres get money????

Our youth should stay in our circle....even in universities and localities. We should stop socialising with them, don't hate them coz it's against gurmat, but that doesn't mean make friends with them, just ignore them. Socialising with them is plainly making ourself available to these ppl and inviting them to try on ourselves ( i m speaking frm my personal experinces)

Trust and respect our people who have concerns and not make it a habit cricticise them. Back them up instead, address them if they are wrong somewhere rather than discarding them as extremists or fanatics. Remember only these extremists or fanatics rise up to the occasion and stop beadbis.

Infuse sikhi spirit in ourselves and not asian our indian pride. This is where we get back stabbed. Muslims like to be our panjabi brothers and exploit us and hindus do the same by being our hindustani brothers. We are race apart from others. And for god sake stop calling ourselves indians, our target is khalistan. Boycott filthy bollywood and idiotic punjabi music......they simply corrupt our youth. Boycott these gigs, club culture etc this is where our girls are targetted. Our youth should pull fellow youth towards sikhi and gurdwaras. We need to boycott following bipran ki reet ourselves in all small and big forms . This is why we become weak.

We need to do GARAM PARCHAAR. We need to be brave, outspoken and clear in our views. We don't need to say indirectly like cowards "some religious fanatics target our youth" we need to name them openly in congregations and say "muslim fanatics target our youth, and we won't tolerate this rubbish" and we gotto make statement loud and clear and answer fire with fire. We need to make a national organisation of singhs and singhnis specially for this purpose so that harrassed girls have someone to turn to rather than surrender to these fanatics in hopelessness and we need to throw a challenge "u dare harrass our girls and get ready to face the music". We need to take a tough stance....things have gone quite far now. Remember !!!!!! If we don't stop it it's NEVER gonna stop.The choice is ours.

Start by not being so casteist. This would help to stop portraying Sikhs as a bunch of hypocrite Hindu offshoots.

MOD NOTE : I think its safe to say we have had enough discussion on this thread now. There is quite a variation of public opinion about this case but i think its safe to conclude that Sikhs are not against people choosing their own faith and converting to another religion from Sikhism, if it is of their own free will. However, when it comes to question the integrity of cases such as these where so many believe that this is not a simple case of "free will" and that other means to entice the girl or force the girl into Islam have been used, then Sikhs will do their best to save their brothers or sisters from the clutches of those who have wronged these individuals.
