Maybe it mite have something to do with organisations set up to do specifically these type of things? shes an 18yr old girl. not a brahmgiani! it doesnt mean cuz shes amrit dari dat she cant be a victim to manipulation, blackmail etc! you have no rite to speak on the issue saying she wernt forced. you aint got a clue bout the girl, the situation, so making such strong statements is out of order.

and like baba amarjeet singh said no matter how 'chardi kalla' you are, you can still fall! jus read into sikh history and you will see this happens!

ok so what do u do to combat these victims of blackmailing, manipulation etc.? have weekend sikh awareness society talks around the country, do tonnes of parchaars, openly talk about it on the internet.. well all this is being done and despite all these preventations this still happens...

our lives are full of parchaar about sikhi, taking amrit, shaheedia, death, salvation, gurmat yet you and me still decide to carry on with manmat. gursikhs tell us what not to do but millions of us still will do them bad things..face it guys the womans an individual, she dont represent anyone but herself and if she decided to give up her rehat than thats her own karam..

if we get our sikhi in line we will get our khalistan, there will be no beadbi and we wont panic everytime a muslim talks to our sisters!!! until then we can all keep making a mountain out of a mole hill because our thinking cant go beyond theses worldly issues...

Maybe because we are inexperienced at this as a community. Muslims have a good thousand years head start on how to convert whilst Sikhs talk about "we don't convert" despite evidence to the contrary from the times of our Gurus who sent missionaries around to do just this.

Also Sikhs (especially amritdharis) ARE becoming increasingly exclusive whilst the rest of the world talks about inclusion or inclusive societies.

We make it hard for Sikhs to exist without receiving a barrage of negative judgemental comments. What do you expect?

sikhi is only as exclusive as you want it to be...as far as i know the gurdwara has an open door, gurbani is accesable on the internet, there's history books everywhere, theres camps taking place...if someones that interested than they can find the answers themselves...why relay on the next man to guide us becuz we have our eternal guru who will guide us...thing is we need to realise that we have a guru who can guide us.....as they say a bad workman always blames his tools...

"Blackmailed", "Brainwashed", "Manipulated" are all buzz words which are being used to detract from the real issue and push the blame onto those "evil muslims" who have nothing better to do then steal our women.

When a person from another faith becomes a Sikh, then is this also brainwashing, manipulation and blackmail?

If this girl turned to Islam through her own will then that is her choice, her karam and the hukam of Maharaj.
