Prohibitions In Sikhism

Recently seeing this: "It is estimated that 4 out of 10 men are addicted to some or other drug and that up to 50% of those are young farmers. While 15% of those are addicted to poppy husk (known as bhukki), 20% are addicted to synthetic drugs churned out by pharma companies in neighbouring Himachal Pradesh." You can tell that the drug problem is a Hindu Punjabi thing instead of a Sikh Punjabi thing. According to Wikipedia about 40% are Non-Sikhs in Punjab, India: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Punjab,_India it's easy to tell that the 40% will take more drugs than everyone else,(the same 40% that are Non-Sikhs).

Any discussion or just posting links to other's opinions?

The article says 40% of Punjab is addicted to drugs, the same 40% that happens to practice other faiths than Sikhi; it's not that big of a discussion, (non-Sikhs will take Drugs).

That in my opinion would just be another SGPC-esque deflection, because I'd be willing to bet the drug usage rates amongst Sikh background folks and Hindus is relatively the same. Unless of course there is a legit source for the claim on Wiki.
