I think it just comes down to personality and family. There are many girls in their 20s out there who grew up with bollywood and not knowing anything about sikhi, typical punjabi family and they are good girls, yet in the gupt section there is a girl from a amritdhari family who has struggled with drugs, alcohol, sex etc    so you cant really conclude that growing up with little sikhi influence and watching bollywood movies will have a bad influence while a religious environment at home will make the kid better, because that clearly is not the case! We get plenty of people from amritdhari families doing messed up things posted in the gupt section on here.

I once remember listening to bhai Manvir Singh talking about a girl who was crying and telling him how she comes from a amritdhari family yet when she started going uni she started drinking, clubbing, cut her hair and even slept around. he said she was crying and full of guilt.   Im not trying to bash anyone im just saying that the cause of the problem is much deeper and not just down to who grew up watching bollywood and who grew up going gurdwara everyday, thats just the surface.

Funny how these studies at one time claim that all these are "taboo" in our community but all of a sudden that 50 percent are sexually abused.

Slight bit of schizophrenia there.

If there are any Sikh men that sexually abuse, they should cut their b**** off!

If you are someone who has lived a sheltered life, under strict control etc and suddenly you have freedom this is what happens. 

Amritdhari or not Amritdhari it makes no difference. 

You should see what Amish kids get up to when they have rumspringer. 

A balance must be struck some how.

Bollywood is dominated by muslims because it is run by mainly muslim producers, directors and also financed by them. Hence why you have mostly muslim actors and hindu actresses. 

Imagine if the pakistan film industry had Sikh/hindu actors making love to pakistani actresses.
