You really need to evolve spiritually and stop being shallow. I have no problem providing detailed response to that post. I have question for you. Can you read and understand Gurbani in Gurmukhi? This question is important because the English translation doesn't accurately translate what Gurbani is saying.

Go back and reread your posts, what you say about women, the derogatory comments you make. Then read the Granth one more time, come back and tell me that external appearance means anything. You’re living in an illusion of image as opposed to internal purity. You twist gurbani to serve your chauvinistic, sexist beliefs.

Why would a person who can read Gurbani in Gurmukhi not answer the question. Let me know if you want to answer the question.

I hope after this shabad, you @Sat1 are content with Gurbani. True, bani calls women who wear such cloths which reveal their bodies as ਗਵਾਰ because this body will one day be turned into ashes yet they take pride(ਗਰਬਿ) in showing it off. Today the situation is so bad that immodest type clothing has become the norm in society. Even in India in the urban centers a girl who wears vulgar clothing is called "bold" while a girl who wears traditional clothing is ridiculed by other girls by referring to her as "behenji". One can wear western clothing and still look modest. Western clothing does not mean one has to reveal their bear legs or wear skin tight leggings in order to be western.
Popular Post Ranjeet01
They say never judge a book by it's cover, however sometimes the cover of the book is the manifestation of what is inside the book. A Sikh society means that in one form or another you are representing Sikhi to the outside world. Presentation and perception carries a lot of weight in society. If you dress like s1ut, people will see you as one. As Dave Chappelle the comedian says, "ma'am you may not be a wh0re but you are wearing a wh0re's uniform".

People like you show up and try to play the number game. Well Sikhi has not left this earth after you people tried to scare Sikhs with the number game. Sikh societies will stay as well. Just do the math. Sikhi will never completely die, but it will be pushed to the margins and cease to be anything more than a tiny fringe group if people don't do anything to reverse the decline in our numbers. And numbers matter. 1947 showed that numbers matter. 1984 showed that numbers matter. The struggle that Sikhs face today to be allowed to wear their paghs in countries where Sikhs are a tiny minority shows that numbers matter. Maybe one day if you have children and try to raise them as Sikhs, you will understand the importance of having a sizeable Sikh community.

How do you know she sleeps around and what her daily actions are. She could be a good soul. You judge on the external and forget the internal state of others which reflects your probable neglect of your own internal state. Half of these woman may have acted in more civilized ways than you and never called a woman or a man a slapper or a Hussie or judged people so quickly before working on their own thieves first. It’s people like you who are fanatical and begin to mirror the Muslim mentality that women are objects who’s external appearance defines who they are. Who cares what they look like. And why would any woman take advice from you when you use such derogatory terms for women based on their appearance. How fickle, materialistic and shallow can a human be to judge based on that. Do you really think if the Gurus were walking in the earth now, that they would have said what you’ve just said.. The great souls who taught equality and respect of women. You seem ardent enough in your opinions about everything including good souls and bad souls. Can you please do the courtesy to define what a ‘good soul ‘ is ? Are you God? Are you antaryami? Can you tell what I am feeling or about to say? Can you guess what I ask for in my prayers daily? Do you even know if I say my prayers ever? You really need to stop taking everything personally. The hoochies that I see daily @the gurdwaras and everywhere else have matching actions to accompany their outfits! They are tarty beyond description! Define ‘ civilised ways’ then? Crude people don’t behave in civilised ways! They are loud, thick and stupid, egoistical, attention seeking and you can imagine how unsightly they look! It’s due to their crude thinking they dress the way they do, after all, we dress to express our inner selves as well as to give decent and suitable coverage to our physical bodies! We dress to express and cover ourselves from the elements and prying eyes! Women are not objects they are human. Our Gurus assigned equality to both sexes. Men have always carried out their responsibly of being decent women haven’t! They are the ones that impose upon men to treat them like SEX OBJECTS. If men don’t treat them as such they turn WILD! Grow up and take some responsibility and stop moaning! If the Gurus were walking on earth right now, you would be wearing a turban or some other kind of head covering and decent punjabi suit when going for their darshans, unless you belonged to very poor family with no money to afford decent clothes! Don’t ever make the mistake that the Gurus are not watching you, whether you are inside the gurdwara or outside of it! God is omnipresent. So dress decent. Keep your head covered always, and don’t show too much skin. In other words respect yourself and don’t abuse what God has given you. Don’t be gawaars! Gawaar thinking minds act gawaar and express their gawaar inner selves by dressing in gawaar outfits! Also don’t forget, gawaars also eat gawaar food and drink gawaar things! ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!

You understand what suits you and twist gurbani to your own needs as so many in the world do. No, that line is saying that women that wear thin clothes, revealing clothes are fools. Gawaar means stupid, fool. It couldn't be said any more clearer than that line. It simply doesn't fit your view so your over looking it, which is your problem not anyone else's. Outside appearance is important otherwise sikhs wouldn't of been given the hukkam of keeping your hair, wearing Kirpan and keeping head covered.

Yeah Here's another Pangti, note corruption and wickedness are also vikaars like Kaam. ਬਾਬਾ ਹੋਰੁ ਪੈਨਣੁ ਖੁਸੀ ਖੁਆਰੁ ॥ O Baba, the pleasures of other clothes are false. ਜਿਤੁ ਪੈਧੈ ਤਨੁ ਪੀੜੀਐ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਚਲਹਿ ਵਿਕਾਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ Wearing them, the body is ruined, and wickedness and corruption enter into the mind. ||1||Pause||
