Give your reasons of biggest threats or downfall that Sikhs face

Recommended Posts

Here is my list of current problems we face as a kaum.

  •  Traveling around giving aid / langar to non-sikhs. This thought was put into Sikh psyche as a strategy to destroy Sikhs from within by the enemy who wanted to move Sikhs away from position of strength to weakness. Guru ka langar never went around the world helping non-sikhs like this. Guru Ka langar was based on giving langar to the local sangat community. However was the non-sikh poor masses who came to the Sikhs and gurdwara's to get langar and get parchar to convert to Sikhi that made non-sikhs want to be a Sikh. This current innovation which has been created and run by idiots and is wasting sangats money giving langar away for free with no benefits for the kaum. The biggest gift a Sikh can give to a non-sikh is parchar because by that parchar the Sikh too will have to reform their character to live by what they preach.
  • Not having well armed sewadaar guards of Gurdwara's. Safety and security of guru's house and his congregation should be paramount yet what do we see today? any afghan ahmed abdali, isis salafi muhammad musin, mughal aurangzeb can walk in and kill without any hindrance like we seen recently. What is the fall out? Sikhs will stop coming to gurdwara's and thus gurdwara commitee's lose income and gurdwara shuts down eventually. The non-muslim hating conquest loving isis type jihadi mullah nutjob wins as sikhi is seen as weak and finished eventually because gurdwara's are no longer safe spaces for people wanting to worship and congregate.
  •  Sikhs of sarbat da bhulla mindset. Well meaning humanitarian liberal Sikhs but very gullible very politically and religiously naive not understand the full context of meaning of sarabat da bhalla and when to apply it. perhaps most of them have a sort of stockholm sydromme imprisoned by cultures and ideologies that are against Sikh interests and prevent their own community to survive.
  • Fake Sikh puppet leaders. They are only in it for their own power, fame/popularity contest or financial gain (eg recent akal takht jathedhars, sgpc leaders, DT harnaam singh, Badal dal, congressi captain amrinder singh, etc). We need to support leaders who openly fight for the interests of Sikhs without being shy about it.
  • Not having our own sovereign state nation. To conduct our own economic, military, religious and political affairs is the very reason we have so many problems. But its not necessary for the community to survive and thrive if other problems are dealt with.
  • Inter-faith marriages and lack of promotion of inter-caste or inter-race Sikh marriages. Sikhs should activity promote inter-caste marriages within punjabis at the very least and help promote those non-sikhs to convert to Sikhi to marry someone within the faith.

Like with everything else liberal SJW organisation have been subverting Sikhi and Sikh institutions in order to advance their own agenda. Langar was always a part of Pangat which was part of the Sangat - Pangat. Langar was served after the Sangat - the congregation was finished. But Gurdwaras started to serve Langar throughout the day rather than after Sangat which diluted the Pangat aspect of Sikhi. After ALL the congregation had sat as a Sangat then ALL the congregation sat in Pangat and had langar. Now anyone can go into the Gurdwara do matha tek and straightaway go to the langar. This gives the Gurdwara the feel of some kind of drop in centre where people just go for half an hour and within that time they are done matha tek and had langar as well. Perhaps this was something that was needed in the west given the lifestyle we have but still it was an innovation that diluted the aspect of Sangat-Pangat.

This was taken further by having event like Langar on university campuses while this gives more exposure of what happens in a Gurdwara but without have a Sangat first these events also affect the concept of Sangat-Pangat. While the changes may have done some damage to the Sangat-Pangat concept the SJW liberal Sikh organisations like Khalsa Aid use or in truth abuse Sikh concepts in order to further their SJW agenda. KA sees nothing wrong in describing food aid they give to places where they are neither in a Gurdwara or have the presence of the Guru Granth Sahib as Langar. This is totally contrary to Sikh teachings yet because not many Sikhs have knowledge of these deeper significance of what langar is, they do not call out KA and those that do are usually quickly shut down by KA and their ignorant followers. Ravi Singh in fact is a person with very thin skin and cannot take even a slight criticism of the way his organisation works. He's quick to block anyone off his social media..lol. In fact most of the comments you will now see are only those which congratulate him on what a great Sikh he is or people who have painted portraits of him! He may have started off with noble intents but today he is no different to the Gurdwara pardhans  who are only in that position for self promotion. According to the returns KA sent to the charity commission, KA had £5.5 million in the bank and cash in hand up from about £3 million in 2018. Yet whenever there is a disaster rather than use that money he is quick to put out post begging for more donations. In the lockdown in Punjab he has posted a few videos showing his KA volunteers giving out some rations to various people and based on that his calculations are that he will get many tens of thousands from Sikhs thinking that their donations will be helping Sikhs back in Punjab.

Now ask yourself, this Ravi Singh and KA are quick to accuse the SGPC and Gurdwaras of not doing anything for Sikhs. In fact he had a video a few years ago of a former Nihang Sikh who because a Christian because he was not helped by the Sikh organisations when he was in need and the Christian missionaries filled that role. So what is Ravi Singh now doing with £5.5 million in the bank? He is sitting on it while even if he used a half of that money in Punjab it could be a game changer in Punjab.

Not only are KA wasting millions of the Panth's money on causes which serve no Panthic benefit apart from promoting him and his organisation and which divert money which could have gone to help Sikhs, but they are also subverting Sikhi. He is quite happy to also subvert concepts like Daswandh which was a monetary collection which was used for the betterment of the Panth into a charity collection to be used where he deems fit. By referring to his charity collections as Daswandh especially when targeting a Sikh audience he knows he will get more because Sikhs have a sentimental attachment to Daswandh which is not the same as he used the word Daan instead.

Bro why you jealous? Let em serve langar. How about you do something since the people you criticize are already busy?

Let's hear YOUR ideas for what YOU'RE gonna do.

I'll extend that same question to anyone else upset about what kinds of seva other Sikhs do...

What's your plan?

The continual whining about the good others are doing is not at all productive, and anti gurmat.

Is it possible Ravi Singh is playing some sort of 'long game' with his aim eventually to have more money to help Sikhs?

It might be he worries that if he is too active in Punjab, he will become an enemy of the ruling class and could be imprisoned or banned in some way from going to Punjab

21 years is quite a long time if it was his long game!!

Not really because all that sucking up to Muslims is more likely to get him banned than helping Sikhs. Sikh Relief has been helping Sikh political prisoners as well as their families and although they have faced harassment by the authorities they still continue to do their work.

Ravi Singh did use that excuse initially because KA just concentrated on Kosovo in 1999. When the Chattisinghpura massacre happened in 2000 he had people at the Nagar Kirtan's that year with buckets asking for donations in the name of those Sikhs. I doubt if all or even a majority of that money ever reached those Sikhs. I think if that was his intention, then the plaudits that he got from non-Sikhs for his work has turned his head and he makes no mention of his initial plans. In fact his charity spends about 20% of its total expenditure in India and of that I would guess he spends 50% so possible one pound out of every 10 is spent on Sikhs.

This is the response he gives as well because he has no answers to why he is expending the money he collects as Daswandh on non-Sikhs when Sikhs are in need. This response is usual from anyone who is corrupt and who does not want to discuss his views.

For myself I do not collect £35,000 a year to manage my own charity. I work for a living and give some to Sikh charities such as British Sikh Council who work with Sikligars and Sikh Relief who I have already mentioned above.

I thought he was confusing you with Ravi Singh. Anyway Ravi Singh does get paid for running the charity, I made a mistake and said it was 35K a year but it is actually 33K a year but along with employers national insurance and pension payments, I sure this must come to about 35-38K a year and now he has more paid staff.

From their submission to the charity commission-;

Mr R.S Sidhu remains CEO and is in full time employment with the charity with a salary of £33,000 per annum.  As the charity develops, greater demands are placed on communication and operational systems. As this work cannot be done effectively or efficiently through voluntary manpower and to ensure compliance with the data protection act and other relevant legislation, the charity requires dedicated staff working to formalised procedures and within established structures. An office manager is employed for 37.5 hours a week together with a 2 full time project coordinators. The role of the project coordinators is to oversee current projects and collect and collate relevant data. An IT expert has also been employed 2.5 days a week to manage and ensure safety of the charities cyber security, databases and internal IT systems. A full time bookkeeper has been employed to assist the charities financial management day to day The Charity and its work will continue to be governed by way of regular trustee meetings.  Work continues to strengthen and further develop the charities operating procedures and ensure effective governance procedures are in place.

About staff costs the same submission states-;

11. Staff costs
The total staff costs and employee benefits for the reporting period are analysed as follows:

2019

Wages and salaries 181,104

Social security costs 15,743

Employer contributions to pension plans 2,323

Other employee benefits –

Total 199,170

So it's not just Ravi Singh taking £33K from the dsawandh, it more like nearly £200,000 a year that the charity gives as wages and benefits to employees.

I think GurjantGnostic seems obsessed with me. Never mind.

I think that KA is the more well known charity and gets the most publicity.

If he focuses on Non Sikhs then the more publicity he gets.

The bigger these charities get, the less they actually help the people they claim to be helping.

It becomes more about sustaining the people that work for the charity (they are also tax free)

I have seen Oxfam's swanky head office and it makes you question their motives.

The question for us is to focus on charities that are smaller, Sikhi focus (they may get less publicity as it only deals with Sikhs) where they can be transparent,  accountable and where our donations can show that it is adds value to the people who they proclaim need it and not the people who work for it.

If non-Sikhs are going around serving food to homeless and vulnerable Sikhs, there are going to be Sikhs that are going to be compelled to do the same.

Not having well armed sewadaar guards of Gurdwara's.

May prove problematic as in theory, Gurdwaras are supposed to be open for all. That will be the argument against what you are proposing.

Sikhs of sarbat da bhulla mindset.

There needs to be a better more clear understanding as to what this entails.

Not having our own sovereign state nation. To conduct our own economic, military, religious and political affairs

This perhaps is the most important point.

Inter-faith marriages and lack of promotion of inter-caste or inter-race Sikh marriages

Will meet great resistance from certain quarters but this is changing. If you are having arranged marriage then what you are proposing won't happen. If you marry out out of your own choice there is more likelihood.

I don't think genie is proposing some sort of overt restrictions on people entering, more like heightened awareness/security around entry points and armed guards (albeit with concealed weapons) ready to respond to sudden attacks in areas where this is a distinct possibility.

This could be the difference between 5 deaths and 25 deaths.

    • More langar. Perhaps a menu when you walk into the langar hall.
    • We don't need any strategies for bringing ayone sikh or non-sikhs into Sikhi. all we need is to watch this video.  We have many spokespersons to promote Sikhi for us, some wearing turbans with middle bits of their heads covered with something that looks more like what mulahs wear on top of their heads and some  wearing crucifixions, because god is one, and all religions are same and lead to the same god, around their necks. They have totally taken over the scene who needs bahadur or karamjit or her sukhman or whatever hahahahaha!!  We  are soooo lucky to have foreigners representing and speaking for us, while dressed in weird  white habits with funny hats and jewellery dangling from their necks. Sikhs deserve a huge pat on their shoulders for delegating their responsibility to these kundalini weirdos or whackos for the  dissemination of sikhi to the world. Soon our children will be learning Sikhi from them, how nice!!  Kundalini or no kundalini, sikhism has progressed to becoming a New Age Cult, with Italian sikh bibi, for sikhi is her birthright and in her blood, and a baba wearing a crucifixion around his neck,  about to demonstrate gatka to all of us! While desi bibiyan and babeys pre-occupy themselves with all the evils these alien looking bibiya and babeys are running from!! Congrats my friends.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6pehWRISyI
    • Thanks for support. Some of the videos have become quite popular.  Yes will be focusing more on YouTube and uploading more on there as it's a better platform for religious videos.  Only came across TikTok recently and thought would give it a try. Can't post longer video then 1 minute so can't post in depth and have to cram everything in.
    • Look at the insults the pakistani mucho libre throws at sikhs. Not just this guy, many hatefilled pakis use similar words. It's an insight into their deep-rooted hate which some of our brothers just don't realize. while our lot keep siniging about sanjha punjab, these guys keep separate  drinking glasses in their eateries for sikhs, even in Nanakana sahib. They have a view of us being beneath them, "filthy", and generally a failure.  We've got to carefully study the groups we admire or live amongst to have a realistic world view. Got to shed both our own over-the-top sufi drenched punjabi entertainment and bollywood worldviews. Niyara khalsa we need aim for!!!
