Why we are failing

Sadly this is what Sikhism has become. A food feeding dharm. Our Gurdwaras have become nothing more than a free restaurant.

Guru ji, Bhajan Bandagi, rehit are supposed to be central in a Gurdwara not Langar. We have discarded everything else and turned Langar into the central focus.

Even in India you will see this. People doing Langars on the streets thinking they are doing their part by stopping cars and forcing them to eat food. But they don't care to do anything else like doing daily Nitnem and also making their kids read bani daily.

Another thing is a lot of bani as been taken out of context. Like how when Guru Nanak Dev Ji came out out of the river and said "there is no hindu or muslim"  they just leave it as that and dont finish it of     which just takes it out of context       and then they say Guru Nanak said that because he was saying "we are all equal"

and then there are fake quotes being sent around like the one where Guru Gobind Singh ji said b4 becoming christian, sikh, muslim hindu  become human first.   He never said that!    Guru saib said being just a human is a waste of life!    this quote was the most circulated quote on social media    and its fake

and then you have uk sikh councilors who wanna hold vaisakhi at mosques        Guru Sahib would NEVER hold vaisakhi at a mosque!   people are just making it up as they go a long      but there is hope! because young folks protested against vaisakhi being held at the mosque so the plan was dropped     there still are some people out there with their heads screwed on right

The worst one is actually when these so-called Sikhs want to please some Muslim so they will get the shabad Awwal Allah Noor Opaiya sung by the Kirtaniyas. They understand the shabad superficially because if they understood it correctly the rest of the shabad states that Allah is in his creation which is blasphemy in Islam! It also espouses equality which is totally against Islam's momin and kufar concepts. That shabad was even used in the film Train to Pakistan in a similar manner, in the scene just before a Jatha leader comes in a jeep to the village to get volunteers to blow up the train going to Pakistan.

Skip to 1hr 14 mins for the scene.

I dont think our kaum does enough solidarity with our muslim brothers...maybe Sikhs need to start offering Halal too

The Khalsa Aid guy is a joke. He almost does Matha Tek of the Quran the 24 carat wally. So now is KA using Daswandh to do parchar of other religions?

I remember during the Kerala flood, KA went out of their way to clean up a church. Like what do they hope to gain by doing that? Have they ever done Karseva of a Gurdwara? Never

Every year they fund raise money for children around Christmas time. They even dedicate it to Christmas and give gifts to Christian and Muslim children.

Buddhism, Christianity and Islam didn't spread by acting like Santa Clause.

what was sikhi like in the 70s and 80s in the UK? was it like the current state, with people like ravi singh  and all the emphasis in langar and inter-religious stuff?  and im not asking about your average punjabis here   but sikhs who actually practiced sikhi    what were they like?      when did this whole sjw culture start in sikhs?   did it exist back then as well?

because these days you've now got singhs rolling out mats in gurdware for muslims to pray
