Interfaith Marriage

Gurufateh - I am torn between reporting an interfaith marriage and just letting it happen. The boy as I understand it hasn't converted to Sikhi yet they are having an Anand Karaj at a Sikh 'Centre' which is essentially a Gurdwara in London

You can’t convert to Sikhi. It’s a path of Truth. Gurbani teaches the Pure Uncorrupted Truth. It’s tenants have been taught by other masters in the past, from different races, having born into families of different religions, in yugs upon yugs.

Guru Nanak taught it in Depth. He was so far down the path and his love was so deep and pure that the gyan taught is unparalleled. He is the most beautiful soul God made. The Gurus included some of their teachings in Guru Granth Sahib Ji. It teaches No Caste, No Creed, No Hindu and No Muslim, Only One.

Yeah good idea. Stop the marriage. As that way all children the couple have and their future generations can be estranged from Sikhi and their local Gurdwara Sangat. On the other hand you could study history and realise that millions have come into Sikhi as a result of an erstwhile non-Sikh spouse from a Dharmic religion background becoming a new Sikh via matha tek before Guru Sahib in the Anand Karaj.

Take JkvLondon Ji's spouse for example if you know anything about this forum.

Please stop making stuff up. YES you can convert to Sikhi. That is a total lie. you don't know what you you are talking about. Dharam Bina Sab Dalay Malay hai.

To the OP please go ahead and report it. This is beadbi of our Guru. Go ahead and report it.

hard to judge someone's faith! there are people who are born into Sikh families and do Anand Karaj, they also drink at their weddings and many get divorce too...

this is also Guru Ji's beadbi....

so my point is wherever we see or observe that there is something not right according to Guru maryada, we should report and speak up! doesn't matter they are Sikh or non Sikh.

I was in a similar situation a few years back. We know this Punjabi family for decades and one of their daughters decided to get married to a Gujrati guy, they did the anand karaj in the early hours somewhere in Hayes, not sure where. I was caught between telling someone or not and i didn't at the end! because i walk past these same people and when i see them i greet them and then there i was going behind their back and reporting them. It didn't feel right, and my parents wouldn't of been happy at all if i did that.

It's a difficult one, who knows if it would result in negative karma for ourselves if we do something like that .

It should really be the Gurdwara that should decline it

Yeah that's the thing bro. Whenever i walk past their house and i see them i stop and talk to the brother and father, and then imagine if i went behind their backs and reported the wedding. It just didn't feel right. Especially considering it was their daughters wedding, parents go through so much these days trying to get their kids married. And it would of caused problems in my family! back then when people used to protest outside Gurdware at interfaith Anand Karajs i told my parents that if another one happens at our local Gurdwara I'm gnna go and protest and my dad raised his hand indicating a potential slap!

It is a difficult one ...

Your right it is the Gurdwaras responsibility not to go forward with these weddings, but just shows how money hungry they are that they do these weddings in the early hours to avoid backlash. What can sangat do if the people that run Gurdware themselves are breaking rules.

How can you convert to the Truth. There is No Religion. No Hindu, No Muslim, Only One. The Gurus words, not mine.

With your mentality, it’s likely that if Guru Nanak turned up without a turban, you’d probably stone him. Instead of recognizing him as Sat in form. God is One. You cannot confine God to a religion or sect. He explicitly taught, No Hindu, No Muslim, Only One. And I’m the fool for accepting this gyan that he taught. Why would I disregard that gyan, unless I’m full of codswallop and trying to create my own sect. Isn’t Gurbani written by the Gurus? Or is your religion run by manmukhs dressed as amritdharis who think they’re beyond the gyan.

What they said doesn't indicate that at all. What a horrible thing to say. Mind is literal.

Really it's you that has a problem with the Guru's Sikhi and the Guru's Rehit. You also have the air of a privilaged cultural appropriator with an ego complex, and a severe allergy to the Truth.

Sat Dharam molds you, not you it.

your a fool. with some ulterior motive. Guru Sahib said I am neither Hindu nor Muslim. because he rejected both backwards ideologies. Guru Sahib started a new religion. Aurangzeb want to make 1 from 2 but Guru said God want to make 3 from 2. Stop using Gurbani to future your stupid thought process. you don't understand nor it seem you ever will. you have to read the whole Shabad to understand that is he rejecting all the practices of those two irrelevant religions. If there is no religion than why did Guru Gobind singh ji create the Khalsa. You utter nonsense that might mislead other on this forum. I ask the Admin again this seem like a CAT. Please check his IP.

    • Yeah i think too that bhai jugraj was made shaheed just too suspicious the way he was taken out when he started talking about political reality and truth about this world. They left him alone when he was just talking about spiritual stuff but when he applied the miri puri concept of Sikhi that all Sikhs should I think they did something to his body. Either poisoned his food with carcinogenics or radioactive stuff or x-ray beams (which are known covert weapons used by world powers to take out their targets covertly and plausible deniability). He used to mostly started basics of sikhi to combat the dawah islamic and christian missionaries targeting sikhs for conversion. So they didn't like it when he used to do that fearless confrontation parchar that basics of sikhi on the streets and in street stalls. Now since he has passed there is a lack and void of that. Then he started to talk about making all of india as khalistan and having khalsa raj that upset the hindu extremists and indian nationalists. He also exposed British empires role in destroying Sikh sovereignty and taking part in genocides against us from 1840s to 1990s. So he made alot of powerful enemies with his truthful and fearless parchar that was converting hundreds of non-sikhs to Sikhi by the week and educating ignorant Sikhs back into true Sikhi. He would often visit this forum i heard and get good idea's that he got from members from here and would talk about in his speeches e.g he talked about establishing a UK takht to have political power of Sikhs aboard away from india's captured and control sri akal takht. So the enemies of Sikhi were trembling at the power 1 man with a youtube channel had. I believe one of the enemies must have done something to take him out to silence him forever and attempt to block the revival of global Sikh spirituality and political awakening.
    • Quite an interesting book alot of truths in that. Also exposed the Indian establishments hand in terrorist acts aboard especially in canada and then blaming Sikhs for it. Using Sikh patsy indian military intelligence agents like talwinder parmer to do their bidding then extrajudicial killing him (or disappearing him) when he got back to punjab. Also this is guy below exposed other agents who were founders of the BKI militant group. One of the guys was a canadian intelligence agent and probably and indian r&aw agent given cover by the indian embassy CSIS subtly talking about indian govt interference, subversion and terrorism on canadian soil
