I remember when she first started making movies like 15 years ago. She didn't even know how to speak English and she used to get upset in interviews and say how no one is taking her seriously in Bollywood because she doesn't know how to speak English. There's nothing wrong if you don't know how to speak English, but I clearly remember this woman getting upset saying how people are biased and take advantage of her because of language barriers. 

She used to make very sexualised movies, because those are the only parts she was offered.

And it's a well know fact she slept her way to the top! She was Aditya Pancholis side chick, a man who is known to have connections with Mumbai's mafia. He also was old enough to be her dad. 

Its interesting what a some money and recognition can do to you.

No one at the protests should take this woman seriously. 

She's positioned herself recently as an Indian feminist icon due to her outspoken views and experiences in the film industry. It's quite smart how she's building a unique brand for herself, one that draws on the inherently masculine appeal of Indian nationalism fused with the "strong, independent woman" narrative she's latched onto as an "oppressed" female in a male dominated industry. Only in India can she be lauded as a patriot and a hero by the very people who would most probably demean and sexually assault her in a dark alley if they ever got the chance. Confused curry munchers.

Yes and no, the like's of Farage, Katie Hopkins, Tommy Robinson and plenty of others pushed the boundaries of social media pretty far before getting booted off (apart from Farage), India is where America was a few years ago, the rise of the right wing is apparent, people are willing to believe in the fake narrative spewed by the government, the only difference here is it's being endorsed by celebrities over there because if they go against it they're pretty much finished.

The less attention people like Kangna is given the better, hew narrative is formed so she keeps the attention on her so she get's noticed, she will no doubt end up in politics in one form or another, it's not like you need any qualifications to become a politician over there, they have a tea boy in charge who lied about his past....

I have seen him speak and he seems very intelligent. Is he genuine, or just an opportunist ?

India is really embarrassing itself on a global scale. They really filed an FIR on an 18 year old girl!  They were also burning pictures of Kamala Harris' niece who spoke up about the farmers protest!
