Pathans are known for being gay so I think they would be quite familiar with it.

It's so funny it's true. I don't know whether to laugh or cry with that one.

On the topic of Afghan Sikhs and cultural assimilation with sullay in that region. More than 20 odd years ago, a refugee family moved into the street where I lived at the time (mom's house). They had they greying older bloke and a son, and what I though was a daughter. Later my mom's told me no, that wasn't his daughter but his wife......

What with all the arab gayness over there!! The young boys are likely to get bummed - seriously.

It is estimated that 75 percent of Moroccans have some Berber ancestry. Between 33 and 50 percent of the population define themselves as Berbers and speak Berber dialects.

Morocco not the best example of an Arab country

They and Bahrain stand out in terms of Muslim nations in my opinion. If you had me in a plane and said get ready to jump into an Muslim nation,  I'd pick one of those two.

Whatever their background, it's doing something for them.

I don't really understand what you are saying. I have been to Morocco and it didn't strike me as a strongly Islamic country.

Bahrainians I've met also seemed quite secular

Why not Saudi Arabia or Iraq ?

That's the point. They're Muslim countries where Afghan Sikhs might feel comfortable and be safe.

The dudes from Saudi and Bahrain I trained with told me to stay out of Saudi, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and basically every gcc country. Saudi Arabia I have an open invitation but I would have to be escorted at all times.

The shorter way to put it was stay out of the Muslim world except Morocco, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia with escort.

I get you now, I misinterpreted what you said. But language would be a big problem, no ? At least they generally know English and Hindi. I think they're are very few Sikhs in most African countries, with a few exceptions.

These countries in North Africa tend to be quite relaxed compared to middle East.

We had a neighbour from Morocco in the UK and he was sound.

What do you mean about the invitation to Saudi ?!

Not all muslim cultures are the same.

If they would prefer some safety and they want their cultural affinity they probably  would better off in Iran (there is already a Sikh community there).

Though I assert their preference is the west.
