I walked through Chalvey all the time, it was given a bigger reputation than was warranted. 

You mentioned that you used to go to Herschel. The Paki youth congregated there when they increased the size of the 6th form and  got a massive influx. That attracted a lot of the particular problems.

The main place where the Paki youth congregated was by the cafe in Queensmere and the back streets by Boots at High street. 

When I was at Uni in the 2000s, I was told by Sikh and Hindu friends from Slough area, that Langley Grammar school was the non-Pakistani predominant, and the Herschel School was predominantly Pakistani

The Langley Grammar had a mass influx of children from west london that probably helped in this matter

Langley is also a nicer area and has more Indians in it. 

Herschel has students from Baylis and Chalvey, two sul dominated parts of Slough. 

I grew up in Baylis but moved to Langley at 20. Unfortunately more suls are moving here now, i hope there won't be a mass exodus of apne.

Many Sikhs are moving out of Slough now. 

The Demographics of Slough have changed and populations have shifted  

Chalvey is not as paki dominated as it once was. I think there are many other ethnic groups that have moved there.

I recall that there are a lot of Roma Gypsies that moved there and Pakis were complaining because the Roma Gypsies decided to congregate and have a hog roast on one of the streets

We really need to have a plan given how the UK seems to be going demographically. No one wants to live in the cities anymore and anyone who has made money or who has young kids wants to move out to the country because the cities are becoming more and more violent. We as Sikhs need to also concentrate in areas where we can maintain a sizeable population rather than continue with the same old process of dominating an area and then moving out while other immigrant groups take over the area. This will always take place in cities but in countryside areas and the shires this process doesn't take place. The Jews have recognised this and moved from their areas in East London to places like Hertsmere  and Stamford Hill. Stamford Hill will go the way of East London in a few decades but the Jews will maintain and grow their population in Hertsmere.

We need to do something similar, personally somewhere on the south coast would be good.
