Anyone met a Spy ?

This is a bit 'out there'. But anyone here think they have come across a 'spy' in real life ?

I'm aware there are different levels of 'spy' and most of them have a full time job. But there are places in which they would be present, for example educational institutions, government etc. For example, administrators in Universities, presidents of religious societies. Apparently some Gurdware committee members in UK are spies for GOI

I know that many journalists based abroad are potentially spies. Some might be 'double agent' working for both. Indian origin MP's like Priti Patel could be GOI agent. 

I used to joke at Uni that one of the Iranian students was a spy because in my mind, Iranians were different from other Muslims!

Joking, or not joking, anyone met a spy in real life ?

Or have any theories about media personalities or international figures who might not obviously come across as a spy, but who are ? I realise that there would be different 'levels' of spy/spying. 

And I am aware that 'spy agencies' likely look at this site !

I think I have, one American guy who worked in a law firm I did a stint in decades ago. He asked a lot of questions about K'stan. I think some of the international corporate lawyers do this (supply information to the intel services about what's what in countries they deal with). 

I suspect some of the Panjabi guys I've encountered on building sites to be Punjab Police affiliated too.  

Also, I've been indirectly approached to help set up an 'intelligence network' in Panjab and the people who were behind it were apparently in the house of commons.  I told them to f**k off obviously. That was over twenty years ago though. 

They will be there wherever they feel power is being concentrated.

Many years ago TOI published an article saying  that this forum is anti-india with front page of the forum screenshots etc.

TOI has daily negative news on Sikhs from around the World. I have been following them for years. Same with India Today, Economic Times etc they are all the same.
