New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sunny Deol has recently released the first look of Tara Singh from his upcoming sequel film Gadar 2.

Sharing the poster, the actor wrote: “Only a fortunate few get to bring amazing characters back to life. Presenting Tara Singh 20 years later! Wrapped the first schedule of #Gadar2. image.thumb.png.332bf42eded88f8ae7211276d26c4bfe.png

Talking about the first movie, it was based during the time frame of the Partition of India. The film tells the story of a truck driver, Tara Singh, a Sikh, who falls in love with a Muslim girl, Sakina ” Sakku” belonging to an aristocratic family. Gadar: Ek Prem Katha was a massive hit at the box office which has already set the expectation bar a bit higher for the upcoming movie.

Hah. We should make a movie about the people who make movies about us. A Sikh film about india terror politics and the bollywood agenda. With the right motifs could be a real hit with opressed people all over the world and increase numbers.

Another related idea. A movie released in the us, with a dark gritty motif, could not only tell the story of the Guru Sahiban and the rise of Khalsa Paanth, but keep echoing into the future, where the civil rights leaders of this country themselves ...reflected many similar themes, and went through similar situations and end results. No comparison to what the Gursikhs did, just weaker echoes, nonetheless similar.

Add some history from that time. Guru Gobind Singh Ji stating the truth of these kingly people while the rest of the world chained them.

We. Are. The. Only. Major. Religion. Black. People. Have. Any. Business. Joining. We. Are. Stupid. For. Not. Grabbing. Them. All. And. Allying. With. The. Remaining. By them for them groups.

I'm not going to list them all. But if you know the history of the Khalsa Paanth, and the history of civil rights in america then you know how many places they overlap. And if you don't I'd study or ask. I'd also think on it a bit. Why so many coincidences?

Now everything the civil rights movement did was a shade or more lesser. Langar vs WIC. Of course WIC is what the imperials put in place of black panther langar, but neither version compares to Guru Ki Langar. Still the... vectoring? The scaling? Of it should be clear.

When the activists are in the movie, we could even have Shaheed Singhs whispering ideas to them. Or like represent the Guru's consciousness feeding them ideas and support.

Metaphysically we could even represent how Shaheed Singhs have authority over other Dharmi forces. We could have them interact with christian imagery. Like have Shaheed Singhs come advise a angel with a few of Hanumans troops in tow and then send them on a mission.

The Deol family owe much of their success to Punjabis and Sikhs who have always considered them to be one of our own. Even if their films flopped elsewhere, our Punjabis made sure the films did well in our territories. But the truth is that the Deols are Arya Samajis and have never supported any Sikh cause. People like Sunil Dutt, Balraj Sahni and Pran did more for Punjabiat and Sikh causes than Dharmendra who supposedly hails from a Sikh background (his father converted to Arya Samaj). Dharmendra was a drunkard and womanizer, who even after his second marriage (post conversion to Islam on paper) continued to have affairs with girls of his daughters age (Anita Raj, and so on).

Dharmendra and Sunny Deol were supporting the likes of KP Gill in the 90s.

Their camaraderie with BJP needs no explanation as well. Slowly Sikhs are starting to wake up post the farmer protests with Sunny Deol as a BJP MP, people are criticizing him but we need to totally boycott this family and make sure every film of their flops in Punjab.

You are right, the family is Arya Samaji but they did not convert to Arya Samaj from Sikhi, they were never Sikhs. They belong to Sahnewal which is in eastern Ludhiana district. Ludhiana is a curious area where the Jats of the western areas of the district (Jagraon -Raikot) became Sikh at the time of Guru Hargobind and later Guru Gobind Singh and the majority of Jats in the eastern areas remained worshippers of Sakhi Sarwar and Jathera well into the late 19th century. The became Sikh during the Singh Sabha movement. The Arya Samaj which although it was a mainly urban movement but there were some rural areas of Punjab where they gained a foothold as well. One of these areas were eastern Ludhiana especially the villages close to Ludhiana city of which Sahnewal was one. A few Jat families of this area went from Jathera worship to Arya Samaj rather than to Sikhi. Sunny Deol's family was one of them.

I think there was a transitioning period where they were Sikhs or had a Sikh influence because Dharmendras mothers name was Satwant Kaur, his fathers name was Kewal Krishan Singh Deol. His brothers name was Ajit Singh Deol.

That might be possible but it is highly unusual for Sikh Jat to become an Arya Samaji because by the time of the Singh Sabha and especially the Akali movement it was very much characterised as a movement of urban Lalas and something which any self respecting Sikh Jat would stay away from. It was easier for a Jathera worshipping Jat to become an Arya Samaji as happened in large numbers in South East Punjab now Haryana.
