I can't believe you still have one or two guys still defending the EDL. Take a look at one of their recent "peaceful" demos where they attacked women and children in a restaurant. People reported an old woman kicked and children spat on. Note the kids and women near the entrance. This isn't a minority of them but hundreds walking by indulging in such disgusting violence.

Its a sad day when an unsuspecting person falls victim to a road accident. We all can die at anytime. Cars and drive through the quitest roads silently, therefore keeping your eyes peeled for vehicles is paramount for your own safety and others around you. I witnessed a young girl dying from a speeding vehicle in southafrica several years back... it's shocking to say the least. What i find in london is that somalian bus drivers have no sense of responsability when over taking other vehicles or when changing lanes, its frightening that they have been given such rights to 'drive' on the roads, with loads of passangers on the bus too. The problem (if you can call it that) is the Hindu middle to upper classes in India are - relatively - content and satisfied. Some run businesses and most have professional jobs in which they are plodding along in life. They have no reason to rise-up against the government. Now, if we're talking about the lower, poverty-stricken classes of India (the street people or the immensely poor villagers) they simply haven't got the heart to fight. They'd lose too much and gain very little.

One thing I have noticed that the Police and armed forces have not killing their own people on mass during the demos. In India thousands were killed by the forces. The Police do not hesitate to use live ammunition in India. Could we see the people uprising in India the 80 % who have been left out of economic progress? The recent reports of 35% of Indias wealth having dissapeared offshore taken by its leaders since 1947 has got people angry.

The Kirpan is fundamental part and parcel of the khalsa uniform, it is the guru given right to bear arms in defence of the faith and fight oppression. So any government which dares to ban it is showing you that they are indulging in oppression against the human right of religious freedom and it is a sign all Sikhs should take seriously. It is high time for Sikhs to become politically active particularly the younger generation.

First look into why Sikhs don't eat meat, read quotes from Gurbani. From my understanding it's to realize there is God prevailing in all of the creation, from an ant to an elephant. By being a vegetarian you respect Waheguru and The Creation. By extending compassion to all living beings you progress spiritually and your thinking and views on the Universe change entirely. In my opinion, if you needed to eat meat to sruvive (a matter of life and death) it would be a need, not a choice. Satkaar Sevadaars have been given a verbal assurance by the Ayrshire Sikh Association that they will no longer be hosting the programme where Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj's Saroop will be taken to the Woodlands Centre (which permits meat, alcohol, tobacco and parties) on Sunday 30 January 2011. This is encouraging news, however, Satkaar Sevadaars have a meeting scheduled with the relevant persons this coming Saturday to confirm any outstanding issues. We will provide the Sangat with a complete picture of the situation in the coming days.

Where do I begin.... Its quite a long story but I shall summuriase the main problems. My Brother has become a big problem for the whole family ever since he got married in India. He then brought his wife over but failed to make the correct documents/stamp needed for his wifes immigration to the uk to become a british citizen. He refuses to leave our family home And now says that his wife is effectively an illegal immigrant. He’s been living with us for 7 years. And we are finding it difficult since he's has kids and there are now 5 of the altogether. he refuses to leave. We have helped him whenever asked. But he says that he will never leave. This is giving everyone in the house stress. He refuses to lift a finger. Does not leave the house or get a job. And just blames everyone else for his problems. We do not know what to do. He has had fights with everyone in the house and no one talks to him. We just don’t know how to get rid of him. and he's always emotionally blackmailing us about his wife getting deported. It’s come to a point where many family members have moved out of the house. Because of all the problems he's bringing to us. i think our last resort maybe to talk to a solicitor to remove the unwanted tenants from our house. the whole situation is a mess and everyone is suffering. All the family are sick of his and don’t want anything to do with him. He’s like the black sheep of the family. All we want to do is get rid of him. Other than that I think UK Singhs should "deal" with these "Sikhs" who are showing their face at these demos, regardless of which side they are on. If you read news stories past and present in regards to radical elements within the muslim community you will see how much they dispise the non-muslims and other ways of life that is not islamic. Thing is paaji, these things have not changed for us in the last 35 years or so in the UK. The EDL is infiltrated by white nationalist neo-nazi racists who left BNP and combat 18 and now are trying to hijack it for their own agenda against their new target islamo-fascists not only that the EDL has members of MI5 and other covert police state apparatus within it as does the leftest UAF. Turbancampaign, can you do the Sikhs a favor and change the name of your campaign or something. You are not representative of the majority of British Sikh community's view. I believe our community neither suppports EDL or your lot, they are neutral. The EDL have a right to protest against islamification of their country and erosion of their heritage and way of life by islamists and their gangs. Do not side with the islamists and give us a bad name as you will turn many of the youth into the hands of the EDL as I know our community would rather side with the english nationalists as patriots of this land than islamo-fascists who hate non-muslims and have infiltrated UAF by the banner of MDL (Muslim Defence League).

The primacy of British courts must be maintained and defended, fair criticism of religious and political ideologies must be permitted, and consumers must be provided with the information necessary to avoid halal produce should they wish. Restaurants and fast food chains that do offer halal options should offer non-halal alternatives as well, in order to show respect for other people’s religions, customs, and possible concerns about animal welfare issues (surrounding ritual slaughter). No one should be made to consume halal produce unwittingly, so it must always be labeled - in supermarkets, in restaurants, in schools, and in hospitals - wherever it is available. However, this does not give license to policy-makers to deliberately undermine our culture and impose non-English cultures on the English people in their own land. If people migrate to this country then they should be expected to respect our culture, its laws, and its traditions, and not expect their own cultures to be promoted by agencies of the state. The best of their cultures will be absorbed naturally and we will all be united by the enhanced culture that results. The onus should always be on foreign cultures to adapt and integrate. If said cultures promote anti-democratic ideas and refuse to accept the authority of our nation’s laws, then the host nation should not be bowing to these ideas in the name of ‘cultural sensitivity’. Law enforcement personnel must be able to enforce the rule of law thoroughly without prejudice or fear. Everyone, after all, is supposed to be equal in the eyes of the law. The EDL is therefore keen to draw its support from people of all races, all faiths, all political persuasions, and all lifestyle choices. Neutral? What do you base that on? That's not what your elected community representatives are saying, of student groups and its certainly not what the Gurdwareh are saying either. The Sikh community in the UK is AGAINST the English Defence League and the evidence is right there! There is absolutely no way to justify support for the English Defence League if you want to proclaim yourself as an adherent of the Sikh faith. As for the TurbanCampaign, if you had read the website you would see that it is not an organisation in itself. Many of you need to quit being scared of the Muslims. They done what any community would do in their situation which is to self organise and come together to defend their community from the EDL. Supporting the EDL will achieve nothing except make you look like a fool and bring shame to our community. In fact, the primary reason for having to step up the anti-edl initiative was due to the 'badnaami' being caused by this pro-edl & bnp madness. If you're scared of 'Islamification' then perhaps you should do more and INVEST in your own community. Be sure to compete on every level, in business, in politics and in providing the youth with more opportunities. Standing shoulder to shoulder with the EDL is not right.
