  2. Not getting to know the person before you get married is like buying a car without going for a test drive. You won't know how the car feels and drives unless you test it out. In the same way, getting to know someone before you commit to them is important. No one wants to spend their entire life with a partner who they share nothing in common with.

  3. You have to wait and let it happen as you wisen up. Don't be under the impression that all courtships involve sexual relations !! I have been married to my true love for 16 years now and after so many years we actually feel 'spiritual' love- this is difficult to explain if you haven't experienced it. We were not arranged and we dated for over a year before we got married. AND believe me, there was NO sexual relations to any degree.. No way !! We are both in the same age group and both born and raised in UK as quite modern Punjabis. I think that the youger lot watch or are influenced by too much Bollywood, And this is real bad. Personally, I don't even have any of the channels and keep my kids away from that rubbish.

  12. The people here advocating hate of muslims, understand one thing. When muslims killed millions of hindus during moghul raaj, none of the Guru Sahibaans preached hate towards one religion. Instead they raised the sword against the tyrant, regardlesss of what religion the tyrant followed, whether it was the moghuls, afghans, or hindu hill rajas. Their actions set a precedent for us to follow.

  16. SikhKosh Veerji as usual you're 100% correct. But you know what, there were no Muslims forcibly converted to Sikhi. My father's village was controlled by these so-called high caste Muslim farmers and when they voted for Punjab to be part of Pakistan they automatically assumed they would rule over us Sikhs even in Doaba, Malwa and Majha districts. Obviously the Punjabi Muslims miscalculated in eastern Punjab as Sikhs are not scared of nobody one on one. But amidst everything that went down not a single Muslim Jatt, Muslim Rajput or Muslim Arain Kamboh was forcibly converted to Sikhi. Those Muslims in east Punjab also wanted to rule over Sikhs. But despite initiating violence they couldn't manage it wherever our population matched theirs and then they saw the light + left where their Moses (Muhammad Ali Jinnah) wanted to take them. In east Punjab every Muslim found that Rangrehte Guru ke Bete as those were the Sikhs the Muslims despised the most. And we need to educate the Punjabi Christians in Pakistan about this instead of having our people turn to these false Abrahamic lies. Of course there were isolated converts from Islam to Sikhi who freely did so in full conviction because they no longer faced the punishment that Prophet Muhammad decreed for leaving Islam (=killing ex-Muslims that leave Islam) and embraced Sikhi in the knowledge that the Muslim community could no longer kill them for becoming Sikh. Bhai Gurmohinder Singh is a famous Muslim convert to Sikhi from 1947 and has bought several Muslims into Sikhi via his knowledge of Gurbani and spreading awareness amongst Malerkotla Muslims that Bhai Mardana Ji was the first Sikh and that Sikhi is for Sarbat Da Bhalla. You're totally right Dalbir Singh Ji. Malerkotla to this day is majority Muslim. The Muslim Zamindars had a dream that they would rule over Sikhs in the Pakistan they voted for. When they realised that Islamic dream wasn't going to happen in eastern Punjab, where Sikhs were capable of defending ourselves wherever we had reasonable numbers to match the Muslims, they left to live in an Islamic state rather than be polluted by living amongst kaffirs. It's very sad that these poor Sikh farmers suffering from cancer (as a result of GOI-related uranium poisoning) have been forced to convert for operations+treatment by Muhammad Alam of Indira Gandhi's Black Cats, whilst the main Sikh religious leadership are more focussed on gay marriages, Kumbh Mela, Sri Chand + Triya Charitar as the main subjects to ponder. No wonder they won't launch a Dharam Yudh Morcha against drugs, alcohol, biraderi, abortion + illiteracy nowadays.

  17. LOL what bullox loads of muslims remained in india without converting, there are more muslims in india then the whole population of pakistan. I think these poor sikh families must have been in need of medicine, sikhs don't provide free medications or some free medical facility as most other religions seem to be doing in india and the sikh gurus used to do the tradition has died amongst us.

  21. Alan watts made this speech in 1960-70s I believe. Just before he died in 1970s.... Listen very carefully to his words he is talking about Sikhism in other words..... he says how Jesus says were all Gods (in other words we all have God inside us) which is written in the first testimony of the jews the bible. Jesus mentioned this when they tried to stone him for blasphemy the same thing arab Muslims in baghdad tried to do to Guru Nanak Dev ji in 15th century until he used his divine power and knowledge which disarmed the muslims and made them devout followers of the Guru. Most of us know that Islam is more fake and destructive for humanity but so is Christianity its wishy washy happy clappy image we have of it nowadays wasnt like it used to be when the priestly classes had a hold over the population of western nations. It is essential a fake religion that wasnt created by jesus but built around making jesus a God when he didnt say he was a God nor did he say he was the only son of God. Christianity was created by people who had an eye on power and used by kings and emperors to propagate to their populations to rule over the classes below them in feudal system.

  22. As per the ancient texts, the Guru is an essential component required for the subsequent liberation of an entrapped soul. Enchained in the web of 'maya' (essentially the term is an amalgamation of two simultaneous terms, 'ma'-not and 'ya'-this) the soul is mislead by the mind which provokes spasms of falsehood in it's nucleus. The Guru is an individual who is essential in the annihilation of the mind's deceitfulness, he tears the curtain of illusion aside and invokes the reality of one's purpose in life. 'Just try to learn the truth by approaching a spiritual master. Inquire from him submissively and render service onto him. The self-realized souls can impart knowledge unto you because they have seen the truth.' - Bhagvad Gita As It Is. The mind is an essential partner of the soul. It is the simultaneous counterpart which attaches itself to creation and it's illusory precepts. Subsequently the soul is drowned in the mind's actions, rendering it's cries mute. As a result one is forced to traverse through different life forms (8.4 million via Gurmat) and re-enter the human body in order to merge with the supreme soul. One who is merged with the said supreme soul, and it's fundamental embodiment is worthy to be declared Guru as such a soul is not ensnared by the precedents of 'maya.' 'Having obtained real knowledge from a self-realized soul, you will never fall again into such illusion, for this knowledge you will see that all living beings are but part of the supreme.' -Bhagvad Gita As It Is. Not every liberated individual is worthy to be declared Guru, subsequently the Guru of 'Kali-Yug' and beyond, as per the Khalsa ethos, is Guru Nanak Dev Ji. A fundamental embodiment and mimic of the divine lord. The Guru however does not proclaim or declare his need for disciples from rooftops. The disciple seeks the Guru and as per his efforts gains success in locating an authentic master. 'In the beginning one must have a preliminary desire for self-realization. This will bring one to the stage of trying to associate with persons who are spiritually elevated. In the next stage one becomes initiated by an elevated spiritual master, and under his instruction the neophyte devotee begins the process of devotional service. By execution of devotional service under the guidance of the spiritual master, one becomes free from all material attachment, attains steadiness in self-realization, and acquires a taste for hearing about the absolute personality of Godhead. This taste leads one further forward to attachment for divine consciousness, which is matured in 'bhava', or the preliminary stage of transcendental love of God. Real love for God is called 'prema', the highest perfectional stage of life.' -Bhakti rasamrta sindhu (1.4.15-16). Despite the disciple's preliminary affection and attitude towards the Guru, post-initiation the Guru tests his disciple to the verge of excruciating torture. Mentally and spiritually the disciple is forced to forge a legendary endurance, via which he can perpetually traverse the path of his master. The path manifested by Guru Nanak Dev plausibly retains it's reputation as the most bloodiest path of liberation with an uncountable number of adherents discarding their lives for the beloved Guru. Due to it's emphasis on saintliness and simultaneously warrior-ship, Guru Nanak's ethos offers dual precincts of liberation, via meditation and militarism in defense of humanity irregardless of caste, creed and allegiance. These qualities not only speak volumes to the greatness of the Guru's path but also prove it's credible effectiveness on the spiritual spectrum, via it's dissociation with any form pf patriotism and temporal attachment. 'A human being who identifies this body made of three elements with his self, who considers the byproducts of the body to be his kinsmen, who considers the land of birth worshipable, and who goes to the place of pilgrimage simply to take a bath rather than meet men of transcendental knowledge there, is to be considered like an <banned word filter activated> or a cow.' -Srimd Bhagvatam (10.84.13). When one follows the Guru's commands his mind transforms from his bitter foe into his beloved friend, assisting him in his journey towards liberation. The mind cannot be substituted for or excluded in this process, similar to a remote control which is incapable of performing it's intended function in the absence of proper power; simultaneously the human body cannot grant liberation without the proper assistance of the mind. 'One must deliver himself with the help of the mind, and not degrade himself. The mind is friend of the conditioned soul, and his enemy as well.' -Bhagvad Gita As It Is. The mind is incorporated in the pentagonal manifestation of the five vices, lust, wrath, ego, attachment and fear. Without proper restraint being practiced it evolves into one's fiercest foe. 'For him who has conquered his mind, the mind is he best of friends; but for one who has failed to do so, his mind will remain the greatest enemy.' -Bhagvad Gita As It Is. The ancient texts are voluminous in their various allegories and descriptions of the perfect Guru, yet all concur one essential point. Without a genuine Guru, the point of mortal existence is pointless. For the Khalsa, the Guru is the Shabad manifested by it's creator via the medium of the latter's fundamental embodiment, Guru Nanak Dev and his subsequent successors. http://tisarpanth.blogspot.co.nz/2013/07/the-importance-of-guru.html Lets be mature about this guys and not turn on our f*** Hindu mentality. I am sure a few individuals will realize what we can achieve via such articles. Do check out the picture via the link.

  24. What motive would the African students have for attacking someone? It seems to be a made up story. Or maybe there could have been one or two stories but it's too soon to call it a general trend. Dal Khalsa should do more about inciting people against the abortion doctors and drug dealers in Punjab who are in reality taking human lives and making money from it in the process.

Only news from Dal Khalsa UK who are often known to cry wolf to scaremonger people into reacting harshly then wonder no one takes them seriously when nothing of the sort is found and then they further lose credibility. I remember reading this tweet recently where someone posted RIP to a singh who was alleged to have been killed defending Sikh girls from a pakistani muslim paedo rape gang. Turns out the story/tweet was fake posted by a fool trying to incite trouble where there wasn't one even the west mids police confirmed there was no such case.

  26. The best way for muslims to convert to Sikhism is during conflict with Islam. Only when Sikhs went to war with tyrannical muslim rulers like the moghuls did the muslims see the anti-freedom totalitarian tyranny of islamic rule and law versus the righteous egalitarian rule of the Sikhs and their laws. Eg Banda Singh Bahadur liberated sirhind from mohgul muslim rule and gave muslims a choice run away to muslims ruled area's or convert to Sikhism they chose to embrace Sikhism. Similarly when Sikh khalsa army attacked peshawar it was first time in history the pathans were subjugated under non-muslim rule since muhammads arab supremest gang took them over from the hindus / jews orgin their ancestors were from. Also it was at that time many pasthuns became Sikhs because again they saw a better system of governance and freedoms and human rights. Obviously the jihadi's wahaaabi salafi's did not take too kindly too the woeing of muslims to Sikhism so tried their best to launch jihads against Sikh rule but were unsuccessful until the british east india company the white British christian supremist morons arrived on the scene and ruined things for which the west and the world is paying for right now. Basically Islam is like a run away train it will not stop attacking other faith populations unless it is made to stop made to push back into arabia. If a non-muslim doesnt not understand this particularly leaders of non-muslim communities then they must learn lessons of history and see how if you dont resist the tyranny your subjugated and submerged by simple mass of numbers of muslims vs the dwindling non-muslim population your community had in the past.

  27. Your mind, or your identity is your ego, and it is like the circuitry on a computer. It directs current, but if you get caught up in it you remain in ignorance. Your atma or spirtual mind is like the central processor. If you wanted to reduce power let's say, one way would be more efficient circuitry but the most efficient would probably be to focus on the core (cpu). What daas means, is it is better to live a sikh/spirtual jeevan and the simraan will come focusing on simraan techniques, especially at a young age and with the state the panth is in, will be a hindrance that you will notice even one or two years down the line. Study these things, but pray meditate, and contemplate the naam. This includes shabad, but remember that naam is the spirtual force that unites all life; so, meditating to slash 'problems' is also needed and a true soldier is better than a 'master of gurbani' sitting with badal. --- It is only theory knowledge vs theory + practical. Maharaaj will reveal all to you, but you must be willing to give your head and live the lifestyle. How quickly you adopt that lifestyle, and what path you take is your own 'choice'. That is where a lot of parchaar falls off as many people try to make it seem that every sikh is the same, and following same path, same problems, etc. We are united as a quom but for example one does nitnem at 7am as they work nightshift other does at 4am. Which one is correct, which one is wrong while you can make inferences is it better to quit work, and disobey work of 10 nails to meet some nitnem quota setup by fake jathedar of Akal Takht?

  28. Not like that, our guru is shabad guru which comes straight from Akal Puraakh. What I'm trying to say is our 'gurus' were not just gurus and should have a higher place than normal humans if you want to treat them as a concept of god, even though you know the concept of vaheguru is higher that is fine. Merely trying to say that is one way people will stay away from deras is realizing how important gurus are. (our real gurus, not fake ones today).

And the Bani is called Charitro Pakhyan, not triya chartar. Do you have any evidence that the Arya Samaj is behind the positioning of Benti Chaupi in Charitro Pakhyan? Veerji, all great scholars, warriors, Shaheeds of past(including of the Khalistani movement) have believed in the Sri Dasam Granth. You know the only people who don't believe in this granth? the missionaries and kala afghanists. 32. Lucky Veerji and Sat Veerji this Khem Bedi that was Amitabh's ancestor was notoriously very anti-Sikh. Khem Bedi hated Giani Ditt Singh + the (Lahore) Singh Sabha with a passion as they were revitalising the Sikh Panth. Khem Bedi had his own competing Sanatan Sabha which claimed Sikhs were Hindu's. Khem Bedi was paid large sums by the British to undermine the Gurdwara Sudhar Lehar and the true Singh Sabha movement. The Arya Samaj and British paid him handsomely to strenghten anti-Gurmat practices in the Gurdwaras led by the Hindu Mahants. Wherever he went he used to openly preach that Sikhs were Hindus. He used verses from Bachittar Natak to force ordinary Sikhs (that only believed in accepting Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj) to think that the Gurus were descendents of Hindu King Ram Chandra's children as Bedi's + Sodhi's. He claimed that the Aad Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is the fifth veda of the Hindus + that Sikhs should revere the Vedas of the Hindu's as, according to him, our Guru Sahiban did so in their previous lives, as claimed in the same text. He was widely disliked by the Sikh Panth, but on the back of the finances from the British and his wealthy Arya Samaj friends, he set up a Sodhak Committee in 1897 of his hand picked people, to consolidate 32 wildly different versions of the Bachittar Natak which had been introduced into Punjab from Bengal via Hindu Mahants to whom the British supplied drugs like opium and prostitutes between 1875 and 1900. It was Khem Bedi who personally decided that Benti Chaupai was best positioned next to Triya Charitar on the advice of Arya Samaj friends. Khem Bedi's two sons Kartar and Gurbaksh also merit mention as they were staunch opponents of Bhai Kartar Singh Jhabbar, Jathedar Tehal Singh and Bhai Lachman Singh who sought to liberate Sri Nankana Sahib from Hindu Mahants who were introducing prostitutes and other anti-Gurmat practices into our Gurdwara's just like how the Muslim Massa Ranghar had done in earlier times. Kartar Bedi was a staunch supporter of the Hindu Mahant Narain Das who murdered 130 Sikhs at Sri Nankana Sahib in 1921. Gurbaksh Bedi was famously anti-Sikh + used to go on Hindu stages to declare that Sikhs are Hindus. Compared to these individuals Amitabh seems more "Sikh" for at least trying to clear his name at Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

  34. That's correct as often happens the descendants of great people often end up corrupted as they try to live of the legacy of their predecessors. We see that when great Sants pass away their chelas often act in corrupt ways afterwards. Khem Singh Bedi was a firm supporter of British rule, he actually opposed moves by Sikhs to allow 'low caste' worshippers into Gurdwaras.I suppose the children also drifted from Sikh values hence Amitabh's mother.

  35. Very good sensible discussion here. Just wanted to add to onlyfive veer point: I don't think baba santa singh took offense to sant ji way of handing it differently because if we read history there were disagreements/difference of opinions between different misals all time..but rather this incident was further capitalized by akaali to cause nasty rift between budda dal nihangs and damdami taksal and they totally succeeded to create more divisions....after that they were two more secret high level meeting between budda dal and taksal- both failed to come up with any compromise and at the end taksal was advised by budda dal that they will back them up if dharam yudh was carried from mehta ....Alliance between taksal and nihangs during that time was worst night mare for gov't/ political type people in garb of sikh bana, gov't obviously heavily infiltrated within all sikh groups.

  36. Was he not helped by indira to get a break in the film industry and were not his mother and indira friends, its seems he was repaying the favour by going all out when she was assassinated. He's nanna and his two mammas were british / hindu spoons, who were only concerned about their own interests, i mean their only sister/daughter and his mother married a bheyah, shows how much sikh values were instilled into her/them.

  37. Also Rajiv Gandhi was his best friend at the time , he could have at the very least severed all ties with Rajiv ....publicly ... to make it known how displeased / angry he was at this mindless slaughter of innocents ....on the contrary the two stayed close until Rajiv met his well deserved fate in 91.

  42. I don't think anyone's dad said to go have some fun with women son..... I reckon that guy just said that to get closer to the girl so that he could get in between the sheets. Guys make up so much bull and exaggerations just to get a hit for a date or to get in between the sheets !! To say things like 'my dad is happy with me...blah blah...' is just to give some false confidence to the other party in this mission. Guruji gave us the tales and stories in charitropakhyan that are to warn and teach us about the wiles of women, BUT we Men can be just as bad in tricking and deceiving the opposite sex- in other words we should understand the logic behind the phrase 'men can be bit**es too!!'

  43. I think it's a double edged sword in one way you get to spread your beliefs with more people and do things based on your beliefs and merits. The other part of it is you can let the responsibility you get, the power go straight to your head and become arrogant, you got to balance out the confidence factor with being a right snob. Another nasty part is you get exposed to the secrets of politics, the dirty stuff, the stuff that can haunt you and all the reprimanding you got to do and get hurts. But somebody's got to do it, sardari comes with miri piri. It can aid you growth if you go about it right and it can shrink you down if you let things get to your head.

  44. Scali ji, "Since you are part of creator your belief creates your reality." This is an example of mass brainwashing of all is one and there is no ONE personal waheguru propaganda. Your beliefs and thoughts may create a false reality, but the true reality works under Vaheguru's hukum. There are many tuks explaining that all happens under Vaheguru's hukum and we do not have much control. Again there are so many tuks, search them yourselves, best to do your own research then being spoon fed. This is why gurbani makes so many pleas to vaheguru ji to save us and ignore our avguns, because reaching him is not under our control no matter how many n30singh style gyan "i am god" jugtiya you use.

  46. This is not a personal comment directed at the kids in the picture rather to an entire society of 'sikhs' (you and I) who are doing more damage to Sikhi than any outside forces. To be yourself and trim can perhaps be chalked up to a personal psychological baggage etc. However, to decide to represent and advertise oneself as specifically Sikh with the Sikh look and trim is immature, irresponsible, unschooled, and uncouth. A trimmed beard is as much about fashion in the Sikh context as is severe self-mutilation in any other context. When did something based in shame and illiteracy become something of which one is proud? As a Sikh, have the guts to be the lone one who speaks up eloquently amongst the masses. Empower those masses and then humble yourself to also learn from them.

There is not much to say, nothing too great as compared to the stories above, so just gonna give it a try. I wish I could name the people who helped me a great deal in becoming what I am, but since they may not appreciate it, I am gonna refrain from naming them. But you know who you are, and I will always be the dust of your feet!! I was born in a non-Sikh family, Punjabi Brahmin to be specific. Till I was nearly 19, I grew up in the United Arab Emirates, an Islamic country. My entire schooling, including my first year in college was done there. I saw the Hindi movie Maachis on T.V. This movie did the job of providing air to a hidden spark. The various scenes of Gurdwaras, the sound of Gurbani being sung gave me immense inner delight. Towards the end of 1997, when I was only 18 years and a few months, I sensed that some massive change was about to come in my life. I did some research on Sikhism on the internet which I had started using only after I was 18 and half years old. To my utter shock, I found the answers to all my lifelong spiritual queries which were left unanswered by every other religion. I fell in love with Guru Nanak!! Soon after I started doing path of Sri Sukhmani Sahib and fell in love with this Bani as well. I came to USA in August 1998, in the white majority and known to be racist part of the US. Thanks to the internet, I drowned myself into knowledge about Sikhi, Sikh history and everything else related to Sikhi. I would listen to Gurbani and kathas on the internet In the summer of 2003 I joined Sikhsangat.com. Now my Sikhi went on a rampage. I fell deeper and deeper into it. I met new Singhs on the net, talked to some over the telephone. I was sent "In Search of the True Guru", the autobiography of Bhai Rama Singh ji by a Singh from this forum (yeah man you know who you are lol). I never liked AKJ style keertan, but after I saw the live telecast of the November 2003 L.A. Samagam, I got addicted to it. In December 2003 I read Bhai Rama Singh ji's autobiography, and only after reading half of the book i decided to quit shaving and cutting my hair. Another veerjee from India who posts here sometimes urged me a lot to maintain strict Amritvela, and that was the reason I was able to stay strong. As my beard and hair grew, I cut myself off from everyone totally. People would ask my sister, who stayed with me, as to what was going wrong with me. I received absolutely no motivation from my family, or even the few Sikh acquaintances that I knew in my university. As surprising as you may find, the ones to congratulate me on my transformation were the Hindus and Muslims I knew. June 2004 was the twentieth anniversary of Operation Bluestar, the attack on Darbar Sahib. One Singh from California was kind enough to take me with him to Chicago where a Shaheedi Samagam was held. Here, for the first time in my life, I saw and met so many Amritdharis. I stayed with them for almost a week, and never for a moment did I feel that they were people other than my family. This was when I got my name changed as well. We visited a Singh, who was one of my panj pyaare in the very near future. He gifted me with 2 kirpans, 1 small and 1 huge. I put it on here itself. This Singh was breathtakingly chardi kala!! I couldn't stop my tears as I left his place. I couldn't talk. August 2004 arrived. It was exactly an year ago in these days. Gurujee helped me and I found transport. May Waheguru bless the Singh who took pains to arrange for my transport. I was with 2 Sikhs who drove me from Oklahoma to California. We stopped for a night at a gas station in Phoenix, Arizona. I felt very sad, as I wanted to reach El Sobrante by Thursday and spend some time with the sangat, but this was Wednesday night, and we were still in Arizona. But Gurujee's ways are amazing. I was going to give my head to Him, and He couldn't see me sad. At the gas station I saw an American Singh. He was Caucasian. He saw me and had a bright smile on his face. I went upto him, folded my hands and said Vaaheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa Vaaheguroo Jee Kee Fateh, and he responded with Vaaheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa Vaaheguroo Jee Kee Fateh. I told him I was going to take Amrit and that we had got delayed. He assured me that when one goes for a good purpose, God is always with you. These words came as words from Gurujee that He was with me!! I reached Bakersfield and spent a few hours at night at the home of a Singh. He was very kind and dropped me off at the bus station late at night. I took the bus from Bakersfield to Oakland, where 2 amazing Singhs in Bana had come to pick me up. Now I really felt on top of the world. I was hanging out with real Singhs!! We reached El Sobrante Gurdwara, and wow what a Gurdwara it is. Its on a mountain and visible from miles away, so enchantingly beautiful. I met many Sikhs who I befriended on the internet, and Vaheguru I don't know what to say! So much love I got, that I could have exploded. I met the same Singh who gave me the kirpans and was among my panj pyaare. I met some other really amazing Singhs as well. Finally the night came. The night of Saturday, August 21, 2004. Location: El Sobrante Gurdwara in California. Daas was blessed with Amrit. I felt that sense of belonging, that feeling of having a master. This was the day my search was over. My soul sang Anand bhaya meri maaye, SatGuru mai paayaa!! To all those who are born in Sikh families and have not taken Amrit yet, take it from me, it tastes better than any other taste ever created. I was born in a Hindu family, raised in an Islamic country, and studied in the Bible belt region of the U.S. It was Gurujee Himself who held my hand and never let me go astray. A lot happened after I took Amrit. Life is never a bed of roses. I am a kaljugi moorakh and can slip. But my master was always there to remind me that He is there for me even if I don't know about it. My sincere request to you is give yourself upto such a Guru. I don't know what is in store for me tomorrow. But I hope I die a Sikh. May Gurujee save me and all of us from all kurehits, and even more from bajjar kurehits. Sometimes people, out of love, call their beloveds "meri jaan", meaning "my life". It is the highest honor you can give someone you love. You address them as your own life. But just imagine the love Guru Gobind Singh Jee has for His Khalsa, when He says "Khalsa meri jaan ki jaan". He loves us much much more than His life!! I shed tears of happiness whenever I hear or recite these words. No one can love anyone as much as Gurujee loves His Sikhs. So why run after this fake world and its glory and riches when we have the lord of the universe as our true lover, true father, true mother, true friend!! Now hold it! Don't start praising me, because I know very well what I am. All that you have read was written some 4 years ago. Today I am a slacker and trying to get back and firm on the path of Sikhi. I am lazy and want to improve, so if at all you want to respond, don't respond on here, just do an Ardas for me, that I may grow/develop/progress in my Sikhi, and always stay firm and devoted to my Sikhi. That would be the best response, and the one that I am looking forward to.
