  1. Regarding the link posted by Waljinder Singh above, underneath the video is the following comment: ^ This guy doesn't even know what he's talking about. Here are the FACTS: At the recent 2015 Delhi Fateh Divas Smagam, it was Bhai Baldev Singh Vadala Jee who punked the Delhi Committee. They were going to have a concert and bhangra and giddha the next day at the same stage and area where Keertan Smagam took place. Bhai Baldev Singh Jee's Keertan turn was at the end of the night, and it was him who SINGLE HANDEDLY got the program changed. The Delhi Committee was so ashamed and felt so dumb, that the chief secretary was on his way home while Bhai Baldev Singh Jee was doing Keertan and giving his Veechars. The secretary got a call regarding the issue and had to come running back to do damage control. Then after Bhai Baldev Singh Jee did Keertan, the secretary apologized to Sangat and said the concert and bhangra and giddha program will be removed and that there will only be gatka taking place. And after his speech, again Bhai Baldev Singh Jee fixed him up on certain issues. Then after all of this the program ended. This was the first time Delhi Committee ever called/invited Bhai Baldev Singh Jee to do Keertan, and it might have been the last, lol. During Bhai Gurbakhsh Singh Jee's hunger strike, Bhai Baldev Singh Jee showed big support for him and criticized SGPC/government very much, and because of that, he was banned from any TV Keertan duties at Darbar Sahib. http://sikhsiyasat.net/2013/02/24/hazoori-ragi-reportedly-refused-to-perform-kirtan-at-dsp-swaran-ghotnas-bhog/ Gurkirt Kharoud has wrongly stated that Bhai Baldev Singh Vadala has only spoken and made the video now that he has been removed. The reality is that ever since the SGPC secretary issue has come to light, Bhai Baldev Singh Jee has been very openly speaking against what SGPC is doing. So he didn't just speak now that he has been removed, he has been speaking on many issues for many years now. I have only mentioned a few examples...

  3. Unfortunately these idiots don't realise that the decisions they make today to help a rival religion to establish itself will come back to haunt their descendants. The Muslims just need to gain a foothold and the time is not distant when they start to dominate the area. Muslims like to test the waters first and in the villages where idiotic Sikhs have helped to build Mosques these Muslims were scared to even ask for help knowing that Sikhs have always been the ones to know what Islam is like having suffered from it more than most in India. So they were surprised when instead of being met with opposition which would have been the case had these Sikhs of today had the same blood flowing through their veins that the Sikhs of the 18th and 19th and even the 20th century had, they met the Sikhs of the 21st century who are muppets who actively helped a religion whose sole aim is to enslave them. Look at Saudi Arabia, they have not taken any refugees from Syria and yet want to give money to Germany to build 200 Mosques for these refugees. The same is the case of Pakistan which is using its agents in Punjab to settle Gujjars and Bhaiya Muslims in Punjab villages and establishing a fifth column in Punjab. Islam will either dominate through war or through emigration (Hijrat) just as Mohammed did in Medina. So the settlement of Muslims in Punjab is a part of a larger plan to make Punjab into if not a Muslim majority state at least a state with a large Muslim minority. The case of the refugees is quite relevant as the arch dhimmi Jigsaw Singh or is it Vingha Tinga Singh was doing siapa here claiming to be ashamed to be a Sikh because we weren't all doing more to help the Muslim migrating into Europe. Vingha Tinga Singh will not rest until Islam rules everywhere and he is either a Muslim or willingly paying them Jizya. It should not be him that is ashamed to be a Sikh, but it is Sikhi that is ashamed to have a Sikh like him in its ranks. Can you imagine what the Sikhs of the Misl period would have made of someone like him if he was alive then probably lecturing the Jathas on how to live in peace with the Muslims just as they had wiped out more than half of the Sikhs in a single day.

  4. Over 100 years ago, Radha Soami came to Beas. The local village Waraich I believe gave land to build the Dera. The people who gave the land to Radha Swami were warned by the other villages in the area not to do it because it was foreseen that it will create trouble. But in the usual over - generous Sikh way they did not listen to sense because after all we are all humans etc. One century later, the same Waraich village no longer exists because a lot of the local villagers were forced to move by the "Dera" and now they are encroaching on other villages. By our love of humanity and generous spirit, Sikhs are being taken advantage of. With this behaviour in the decades to come, the remaining Sikhs in Punjab are going to get booted out of our homeland and our descendents will be swearing at us for sleep walking into another calamity that is of our own making. For all the Sikhs that love humanity, if you live in Punjab or have land there. Why don't you give 90% of your land away for free and build homes for those people and see how well those people you gave it away to will treat you. If you live in the UK, give up your whole house to an outsider for free and sleep in the garage, because after all they are humans too!

  5. Ah but Balkaar you're forgetting the real story behind yesterday's news: John McDonnell, corbyn's right hand man. Thats why I made this thread, I am actually genuinely really excited about the prospects for we Sikhs and our cause. Waheguru works in such a beautiful mysterious way we will always be in awe of what he does. Let me put it this way: 2 days ago we (Sikhs) were doing what we always do; desperately trying to get people, authorities, governments and institutions to listen to us. There were however just 2 backbench minor MPs without any power that always listened to us and were always extremely vocal and supportive of our struggle for human rights in India and independance from India. Those 2 minor backbench MPs were Tom Watson of West Bromwich and John McDonnell of Hayes. And then yesterday Waheguru does something quite incredible. Honestly it is so incredible I can't even articulate just how wonderous his glory is. Yesterday, Tom Watson became the Deputy Leader of the shadow government and that in itself is incredible news for us. Really incredible. But Waheguru's beauty didn't stop there. There is a another, even more important aspect to this news. You see the real power behind Jeremy Corbyn is the man who got him there and that man is none other than John McDonnell, the MP for Hayes (in case you non-Londoners are wandering, Hayes is right next to Southall and whilst Southall's character and make-up has become less Sikh over the last decade it is Hayes that is the real Sikh town of west London as it is where most of the exlies from Southall moved to). The quality newpapers today have been full of articles about how John McDonnell is the real power behind any Corbyn govt / shadow govt. Isn't this amazing ? The 2 men that have been and are the most vocal supporters of a Khalistan and anti-India are now potentially 2 of the most powerfull men in the nation. Waheguru !!! :respect: Now, going back to your point about Sharma : As you know, John McDonnell knows more than anyone just what a useless MP Sharma is. They are neighbouring MPs and John McDonnell has over the years gladly stood up for the concerns of the Sikhs in neighbouring Southall because Southall's MP Sharma doesn't, much to the annoyance of Sharma. Trust me, Sharma's days are numbered. Both Watson and McDonnell are on public record as saying that Sikhs have not had proper representation in the Labour party. As far as I'm concerned Friday 11th September 2015 was the day that Waheguru performed an unbeleivable miracle for the Sikhs. The trouble is, 90% of the Sikhs are in such a deep sleep they don't even know what has been handed to them. Friday 11th September 2015 will go down in history as the day that marked the beginning of India's fall. A black day indeed for India. On that day, a Pakistani critic of India's human rights record was named as the candidate for Mayor of the earth's capital city: London and 2 men that, from afar, have been criticising India as a rogue nation and supporting the Sikhs right to sperate from it were named as potenially 2 of the 3 most powerfull men of a nation with a permanent seat at the UN Security Council. Friday 11th September 2015 is the day that India soiled it's pants.

  6. True Gursikhs are said to be extremely rare. But of course, we're totally inundated with people whom others consider to be Gursikhs/ Sants/ Mahapurakhs. It only stands to reason therefore, that the vast majority of them are in fact quite ordinary and mediocre, like the rest of us.

  7. But if my folks had done that to me what would you say ? I was the eldest sister of four kids ...true I thought more like a son in protecting my family unit but that I put down to siksha of Gursikhi . I was told I needed to get married right away like I was going to contaminate the rest just like you said but I refused to hoodwink another gursikh by not revealing the truth , but at the same time if you did reveal and then got rejected Indians being major gossipers the news would be spread like wildfire, then that would have similar effect on the family's kids . In the end the partner I was given in life knew everything and went in with eyes open , we are bringing up the kids in Gursikhi and I am waiting for him to get ready too, My two brothers married into punjabi sikh families , the one just younger than me is keshadaari but not practising khalsa , his wife similar, My youngest brother is gursikh and married into Khalsa parivar , his wife is Dastarwale Singhni and my sister married last to a mona sikh from a different jaat but they seem to be practise gurbani more than my keshadhari bro and his wife. I am married to a gora , who keeps his kesh, eats and lives like us go to gurdwara and would fight for his children's gursikhi without hesitation. So it is not so black and white .

  8. at the time I was under the age of 15 so really not an expert on anything so I did as much as I could judging the age group (17-20) and how new to Gursikhi I was . Guru ji has told us to give advice, talk with prem, if they get it fine , else try to be firmer , if they are still fixated on doing wrong , the best you can do is make sure they don't contaminate others with their thinking and be ready to step into action if intervention is necessary . Arguing and fighting with them will be point less. Now I am older and have kids of that age group I make sure that people know the boundaries between right and wrong before they even get to the point of making those kind of decisions .i.e. we have had talks about relationships, marriage, sex and Sikhi when the boys were very young. Their sister is approaching age where I have already had to talk to her about abuse, but the point is not to paralyse with fear but to give the training what to do in those situations. You have to be aware ALL THE TIME of the changing battlefield that is life . I had to grow up with street smarts because we grew up in a rough neighbourhood , jowl by cheek with aggressive racists, and I have passed on that to my kids because believe me the s@@@ is going to hit the fan and there will be anarchy on the street. Prewarned is prearmed , those who have failed to get the message re-educate ... we are supposed to make our best effort to resolve the situation , supposed to give three tries at diplomacy then cut off and go on to defensive mode.

There are more threads on this topic that can be read in a lifetime on this forum and hundreds of internet pages spanning over 15+ years. The point is Ekta, do we want it or do we want to act like school children when our real enemies are laughing at us and constantly adding fuel to the fire??

  10. There is a theory that there is a strategy to create muslim pockets stretching from the Pakistan border through U.P. Bihar and the gangetic plains through to West Bengal. Then these pockets will be connected which will disconnect parts of the subcontinent. I suspect that perhaps some of the posters here have not lived amongst a high number of Muslims to gain that instinctive understanding of what is happening. Muslim individually and in small groups are fine people, but as a collective they can become borg-like (if you are a Star Trek fan you will understand this term) and their in-group preference becomes more obvious.

  11. The only one displaying his ignorance here is you who thinks that Sikhs building a Mosque is a good show of Sikh-Muslim unity. The worst thing is that came on this forum posting a story and thinking that everyone would cheer you on. Unfortunately for you not everyone is as ignorant of Islam as you are.

Anyone honest who raises his voice is removed while choli chuks are promoted. This election system that Sikhs made the mistake of adopting for the sgpc has only managed to elect self serving politicians because these policians are not being elected based on their religiosity but rather they are being elected based on their chalakian and choli chuk skills

  15. I remember reading on dal khalsa uk fb page, about how sikhs should hope for jeremy corbyn, as he has expressed that sikhs should be entitled to their own homeland n has talked of sikh rights. Jagsaw is right here, with the leader n deputy leader both very sikh friendly n hopefully sikh biased, this could b an extraordinary opportunity here for the kaum. Wat gets me is how white politicians champion/talk more of sikh rights than actual so-called sikh politicians do, yet our dumb ppl, carry on voting in these freshy local mps, who cant even pronounce names of towns n cities properly. I mean 'bolborhamptun'.....? Then u get ppl like nihal who keeps bangin on about how sikhs voted out 'paul uppal, the only sikh mp in parliament' blah blah blah. Lol id rather have NO sikh mp, than have a h@rami 2faced kuttah like him, who STILL cannot admit live on radio n tv that 84-95 period was a state genocide on sikhs.

  16. Tom Watson on the Andrew Marr show this morning (13th September):- "there isn't a Sikh in any legislature in the UK representing Labour and we need to change that". Tom Watson is a force to be reckoned with but he has a job on his hands. Somehow, he'll have to get the rest of the Parliamentary Labour Party (PLP) to rally round and support Corbyn. Jeremy Corbyn - the most rebellious MP in Labour history, who voted against his own party over 500 times since 1983, now expects loyalty from the rest of the PLP - and it is Tom's (and the chief whip's) responsibility to ensure that they do. Jeremy Corbyn, a reluctant leader, had to be persuaded to join the race in the first instance. What does that say abut his 'readiness' if he had to be persuaded by others to join the race? Since 1983, he has remained on the backbenches, not a single government job. He has no experience of government. I won't mention his overtly friendliness to Hezbollah and Hamas, or his commiserations on the passing away of Bin Laden. Jeremy Corbyn's most ardent supporter, friend and ally, John McDonnell MP Hayes and Harlington, and an even more closer friend of the Sikhs than Tom Watson, is tipped to be Shadow Chancellor or another high profile role within the PLP. It's easy to fill town halls, rally's and protest marches. Filling (and retaining) those Labour benches, however, is another matter altogether.

  17. If Takhat jathedaars do this right thing, they should first take away Faqr e Qaum from Badal and then ban him also from using panthic stages for his personal gains - Most of you know that he goes to the panth dokhis and provide them security. Jafemaar ji do you have the guts to do one more right thing?? Why is the stick always used for general public and not politicians like him? This is hypocrisy people and not duty.

  18. File photo of Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab (September 12, 2015)—Meting punishing for showing solidarity with Panthik interests, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) on Friday removed noted Sikh Kirtani Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala as Hazuri Ragi of Sri Darbar Sahib and shifted him to Gurdwara Patshahi Nauvi Jeend (Haryana). It may be recalled that in a bid to stop the misuse of donations of the Sikh Sangat, he opposed appointment of chief secretary Harcharan Singh who is being paid Rs 3 lakh monthly. He opposed the move as per the rules of the Gurdwara Act. In his transfer letter, SGPC alleged that he has revolted against the institution and broken it’s discipline. His services at Sri Darbar Sahib had already been terminated after the appointment of chief secretary. On Friday, the a formal announcement was then made. It is noteworthy that Bhai Wadala is very popular amongst Sikh masses due to his unique way of singing Gurbani Kirtan. Sikh Sangat enjoys his sweet voice while his jatha is performing kirtan. He is also considered as an activist with Panthik spirit and working in tandem with the Sikh way.

  19. Bro if you want my honest opinion. Like it's been said above, Don't blame god. just by doing Simran ALONE our Karma is dying away. It's becoming more and more insignificant. That small cut you got? it could very well have been Waheguru's blessing as you may have been meant to have an even serious injury. Some things are destined to happen because our Divine Father has a plan for us due to it. There is a lesson in everything. You fell down, so pick yourself up, wipe off the dirt, smile, thank Waheguru for helping you get up and grab Kalyug by it's horns.

  20. I don't mean to sound like a pessimist but we should wait and see how things go. It's nice to see that Sikhs may get a chance but power may change people. Maybe not Tom and Jeremy but celebrating a little too early is a little premature. For now we should just assume we won a battle :D not the war.

  21. It probably spawned from the fact that Sikhs ended up protecting many of them during the Mughal campaign. Just imagine it like a playground. We have the Mughals as one big group (group 1) picking on the other group 2 (the hindus). Along comes group 3 (Sikhs) and starts sticking up for the victim group. Mughal group get's pushed back and dissolves. Group 3 's job is done but Group 2 feels they may be threatened again. What better protection than to have Group 3 as part of your group. So as a result they zealously try to take over. It's a very well established fact that Indians have a tendency of living in the past. Their afraid that if something happens again they won't have the same protection as they did before. If Group 1 and 3 make peace and get along, group 2 feels threatened. Simple as that. They want Protection but refuse to accept that Sikhs will protect anyone who needs helps. Their a force for the world, not just India.

  22. There is a term in Hindu thought called Purva Puksha, it means looking things through another's point of view or "reversing the gaze". I think it is important that we get an idea from the Hindu or Brahmin elite point of view what they find threatening about Sikhs. Hindutva has a problem with Islam (for obvious reasons) but also because it comes from outside India but Sikhi is a different kettle of fish. We as Sikhs are oblivious to the impact we make on others. We challenge the authority of things because we work outside the yolk of Brahminism and we come from the subcontinent which confuses the Brahmin even further. They envy our chardi kala ness and wish they had it themselves which is why they always try to incorporate us into the Hindu fold. But at the same time they want to destroy who we are and keep what makes us useful for them. It's like schizophrenic behaviour. They then try to rationalise things by saying " Sikhs are sword arm of India" or "Sikhs were there to protect Hindus" They try to control the narrative. They see things in us that we don't see.

  23. When will the foolish world ever stop blaming Wahiguru for all their misfortunes? That also when they are wholly responsible for their condition. How can we be so harsh with our Sachay Patshah? We should stop taking Wahiguru, as the genie of Aladino´s Lamp, for things like fulfilling one´s desires, or acting as Superman in times of distress at our calls... Of course Wahiguru is "sarvavyapak" = omnipresent and "shakti shalee" = omnipotent, and omniscient; but if in good times we do not remeber Him or try to establish a consciouss relation with Him, how can we have the cheek to call Him in our so called bad times. Usually, we treat Him like the genie mentioned above, we just rub the lamp when we need Him the most, then we let Him stay inside and make Him wait, until we really need Him again. Shameless people ... He is our True Father and Mother, we should daily dedicate time to Love Him without any excuse or fail, through His Simran. 24. Hindutva and the RSS are a direct threat to Sikhi. They prop up Deras, undermine all our efforts for self-determination, and relentlessly try to assimilate our faith into theirs. Dealing with them should be very high up on the Panth's list of priorities, I assure you.

  25. I can appreciate your perspective on this issue, and I agree with you on principle, I genuinely do. Yet there's something I'm struggling to understand when it comes to the issue you've highlighted above and other areas of life not related to this subject: Basically, how does someone decide, "Okay, leave this to God and let Him decide" and, "I must take action and not be a passive bystander in this situation, because if I don't it will set a precedent that will cause problems in the future."? In a perfect world we would leave everything to God and stand back and marvel at his all-encompassing justice and fairness, leaving us free not to make those tough decisions. But then that's not how these things work in life, do they? Not taking action at a particular moment could cause regrettable knock on affects years or decades in the future. So, as I said, when to act and when to leave it to God?

  26. Pretty much everything that is wrong with Punjab can be summed up with this very news story. A School named after a Sikh Guru (Sri Guru Harkrishan School) with Sikh staff, owned and run by Sikhs, tears down a Gurdwara because a shopping mall company has offered them good money for that land as it wants to build a shopping mall there. And there you go. Punjab in a nutshell. A place where they tear down Gurdwaras in order build shopping malls. There's nothing more to add. Words escape me.

Bhenji, would you differentiate between a genuine victim who was caught unaware by the deviousness of these people, and on the other side possibly someone who encouraged the seduction (as part of a regular lifestyle involving dating, casual sex, etc) but soon found herself in over her head when things got "real"? 28. I foresee organisations like Al Qaeda foment unrest in places like Panjab once Muslim numbers will increase, if not in the immediate future then 50 or so years from now. Didn't Al Zawahiri open an Indian "chapter" of Al Qaeda a couple of years ago? If, hypothetically speaking, Sikhs did begin to resist such encroachments into their lands in the future, there will be enforcements coming from other places to embolden the usurpers. Where do you think they'll try to hit us in order to hurt us? The same place the Indian govt did: Harminder Sahib. I dont know how much of this is true, but a few spiritually inclined Sikhs have been seeing the destruction of Harminder Sahib for the past few years. At first they thought it was memories of the past (the 80's), but apparently it's of a time to come. It's not beyond the realms of possibility to imagine a suicide bomber wreaking havoc in the complex itself. In fact, sadly. I think it's inevitable. Whilst i dont think one village mosque will herald the destruction of Sikhs in Punjab, lol, history allows us to extrapolate the events we're observing now with all we know of Islamic behaviour throughout the centuries and reach a fairly accurate conclusion of what could occur if things resume as they are. If I was a suspicious guy - and I am - I'm guessing the Gurdaspur incident of a month ago was an event to test the waters. Lessons will have been learnt and tactics for future incursions will have been adjusted for future forays into Punjabi territory.

  29. Very true. Unfortunately Sikhs of India are suffering from Islamophilia. You don't see Muslims reciprocating such good gestures by these foolish Indian Sikhs by constructing Gurdwaras in Pak Punjab or even by Indian Muslims. Or how about the Saudis allowing Sikhs to construct a Gurdwara in the city of Mecca as Sikhs have done in Amritsar.

While our moronic people are persaving masjids in punjab and rest of India and incredibaily building new ones! Already the mahajur immigrant dalit muslims from bihar and Uttar pardesh have set up their own small temp muslim shrines to pray along the roads of Punjab. How long will we tolerate the islamification of our homeland? During the years of the Sikh empire and Sikh military and political authority there was a mutual respect an understanding amoung communities that everyone is free to build and worship how they wished but when you allow islam or atheism secularism to be the dominanet power like in todays world. Then muslims will take advantage because its an aggressive missionary conquesting religion/ideology. It will seek to take new lands and call people to Islam at the expense of the host community. When Hitler called Jews the parasites of Europe he was wrong, he was frustrated at the jewish rothschild bankers and other jewish banking families that plunged germany into the abiss what he should have done is had foresight and targetted the historical enemy of europe ie Islam because that is the parasite that sucks the blood of non-muslim communities and nations since its inception 1400years ago.

The best thing for the sangat to do is to stop giving them money and use that money to buy sikhi books or cds and give them away free. you dont need to have a expensive akhand path at darbar sahib you can do it at your local gurdwara or buy tons of Gurmat related items like cds, books, kakkars etc and give it to sangat. selection or election system it doesnt matter, its the mentality of the people that matters. if we look at the selection system of the sants, dera, are they doing any better. There riding around in there expensive cars like the sgpc. when was the last time we asked a sant where all the money goes that is donated to the dera and the desvand the dera gets. also ask them what happens to the money they collect from the sangat. nope we wont ask them but its perfectly fine to bash the sgpc. what im trying to say is for the most part there both the same. the people who dont get any benefit from the fighting is the SANGAT. The Sangat needs to wake up and donate there money wisely bul chuk maf

Never have we had a better friend in such a high position. This man will stand up for Sikhs against India with great passion. I think the first step should be to ensure that those 2 hindu punjabis (Sharma and Malhotra in Southall and Hounslow respectively) that were forced upon the local Sikhs, should be de-selected by Labour Party HQ and Sikh candidates put up instead. I'm feeling very very optimistic about the whole thing.

  37. LOL Singh123456777 you still don't get it! Despite this big difference even Sant Gurbachan Singh, who I'm sure you consider a great mahapurash, praised the greatness and kmayee of Bhai Randhir Singh! Why can't you realise this? Remember your way of thinking is tiny compared to Sant Gurbachan Singh. Sant jee didn't just praise Bhai Sahib in a normal way, he dedicated a poem for him! Read the poem again atleast 10 times. Can you imagine Sant jee praising ram rai? Do you really think you have more wisdom then Sant jee??? This is so clear then only a moorakh would have difficulity understanding. Sant jee very CLEARLY praised Bhai Sahib in a very loving and great way. End of story. Them having a big difference doesn't take away this FACT. If you really want to talk about raag mala. Let's first discuss the fact that ALL samaradas and nihangs have mad respect for Mahakavi Santokh Singh, who didn't even believe in rag mala! So first complain about and discuss maha kavi santokh singh before mentioning Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh! Really really reflect over this, becuase I have a feeling that you're just being polite on here. Who knows how much ninda you have done of huge kmayee wala gursikhs like Bhai Randhir Singh behind closed doors. This type of mahapurash di ninda certainly leads one to the most awful naraks. And if someone only does ninda of Bhai Randhir Singh (becuase of rag mala) but doesn't complain about Mahakavi Santokh Singh (or perhaps even praise kavi ji for his great work of sooraj prakash) then that person will get further punishments for unfair discrimination. This unfair biased unjust discrimination is totally forbidden in Gurbani. So either have huge respect for both Bhai Sahib and kavi ji OR slander them both. Can't have it both ways. For the sake of your soul really really think about this properly..

The Simritees and Shaastras recommend the Naam (As seen above,It is only, and only by His Naam Japna, by which we can merge in Him, and not by any other means, howsoever dharmic or religious it may seem to us. Gurmat is important, not our own mental fantasies) . Sat Sree Akal.

  39. Good news. I'm also glad that Mr Corbyn will be a contender in the next general election. Never voted before, but I think I will next time. He is clearly a man who places principals before the politics of appeasement which the rest of the establishment traffic in. Considering he isn't even afraid to stand up to America, the most powerful nation in the world, I really doubt that he'd have any qualms about antagonizing a destitute rogue state like India by calling them out on their litany of monstrous genocides.

  40. Not entirely true. There are a couple of other Religions that don't meddle in science as much. To correct the bold I would say Sikhism doesn't discourage the study of the physical realm but has a strong foundation which Scientifically is compatible with the main basis of modern day science. In fact being active inside the sphere of Education and the world was something our Guru Sahib's definitely encouraged.

  41. Sant Gurbachan Singh Jee had utmost respect for Bhai Randhir Singh despite very minor differences in rehat. In Sant Jee's writings and Katha many times you can hear Sant Jee referring to himself as the dust at the feet of those Gurmukhs that keep Rehat and are Guru-Valey. Below is a poem written by Sant Gurbachan Singh jee on Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh jee in Gurmukh Parkash: ਦਿੱਹਲੀ ਮੇ ਰਕਾਬ ਗੰਜ ਕੰਧ ਢਾਹੀ ਫਿਰੰਗੀ, ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਜਾਗੇ ਸੀਸਾਂ ਤਾਈਂ ਲਾਵਨੇ । In Dehli, foreigners (the British) tore down a wall at Gurdwara Sahib Rakab Ganj, the Singhs ( Bhai Sahibs Jatha) became aware of this and were ready to die to protect the Gurdwara Sahib. Bhai Randhir Singh jee went himself to give his life and protect the Gurdwara Sahib, Sant Randhir Singh jee is a Naam Abhiyaasee Gurmukh, and does Akhand Keertan to his heart's content ।੭੭ ।। For 17 years he was imprisoned but still kept a strong Sarbloh Pehra, Great and Blessed are those beloved Gumukhs that are physically and mentally imbued with the love of Akaal Purakh. The ones that have nothing better to do argue over minute and frankly unimportant points in the grand scheme of things. The majority of Singh's in India do not discuss this nonsense, it was the hot headed youth in the West that stoked these subjects all over the forums and in little groups in Gurdwarey, with no end result and nothing to show for it. Empty vessels they say make the loudest noises. Ignore and continue with main principles of Sikhi and you'll be fine. I can say all this as I used to have blinkered thinking in the past as well, but that was haumai getting in the way. Get on with everyone and take all the positive elements but no need to disrespect other Singhs or their rehat.

  42. Generally I have observed Sikhs in India have a positive attitude towards Muslims which is why they build mosques in Punjab for the Muslims. This is especially true for the panthic and Khalistani Sikhs. Sikhs in India feel a sense of nostalgia for pak Punjabis. I've noticed when there is a Hindu Muslim riot, the Sikhs in India are usually pro Muslim because some how they relate it to 84 riots. The general attitude of Panthic Sikhs in India is that Sikhs and Muslims are like two brothers who have been separated by the evil Hindus. They see a Hindu conspiracy in everything. Our Panthic Singhs have taken it to some crazy levels like Dal Khalsa and Mann. While Sikhs and Muslims have been strategic allies since the 1980s but the attitude of pakistanis in the west, especially in the uk towords Sikh girls has greatly soured relations. You can't ignore when there are so many cases of grooming and sexual exploitation. Just look at the attitude of 'fellowbeing'. He thinks all Sikh girls are sluts. And he's not alone in this, this is the general attitude of Pakistani men. Its this type of attitude which results in targeting Sikh girls for sex and grooming.

  43. Well this is extremely inconsistent, they allow people from the Nirankari cult to do kirtan on the stages within Guru Ghar, or people with cut hair and or may eat meat, but we ban Bhai Balbir Singh from doing so. If there is ruling against him it should apply to all the rule breaking Sikhs, start with the high profile ones first, eg. Bhai Baljit Namdhari.

  44. These cities were holy because of their connection with the Guru and not because some Pakistani bureaucrat had the bright idea to announce the obvious. While on the subject of Nankana Sahib here is what the Muslims are doing there A massive mosque is under construction just next to Gurudwara Janam Asthan. Its minaret is so tall that it could not be constructed the way minarets of most mosques are. So, it has a special design that enables themaulanas to snarl at this minuscule community from the heights of their hateful selves. The mosque is designed to dwarf the Gurudwara. A further element of insult, that is cast in concrete is that the prayer compound of the mosque is constructed on an unusually high platform, that is higher than the highest point of the prayer hall of the Gurudwara. So that the Muslims can remain a floor above. Does that make them nearer to God? The eateries in the entire bazaar that is frequented by the local Sikhs either plainly refuse to serve them or have separate cups and glasses for them. Kalyan Singh who has spent almost his entire here can even tell you which rehri wala will serve him and which won't. http://www.dawn.com/news/1025160/day-3-the-sikhs-of-nankana-sahab Maybe you and Jigsaw Singh could start a fundraiser for the mega mosque they are building next to Gurdwara Janamsathan, it would be in line with your worldview.

  45. Who said its "the only one" ? :nono: I'm sure there are others but I've personally been to the one that Sri Guru Anged Dev ji built at the place he got married in in district jullunder, at Mao Sahib. At that place, Guru ji expressed so much love for the local Muslims who had shown him so much love as he arrived to get married, that he insisted a Mosque be built within the historic Gurdwara compound itself. It still stands today and the surrounding villages are still majority Muslim as Guru ji proclaimed them 'his beloved muslims' and thus they were left untouched during the horrors of partition. Question is then, Proactive, all the horrible things you're saying about this man in the news that built a mosque.....Is that the same way you feel about Guru ji ?

  46. Guru Ki Maseet. When Hargobind Sahib Ji was anointed the sixth guru of the Sikhs he asked Baba Buddha Ji, an eminent Sikh to bring forth two swords. These Guru Sahib Ji put on as symbols of spiritual (miri) and temporal (piri) authority. Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji is known as ‘miri piri thay malik’, Lord of miri piri. Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji built the Akal Takhat, the throne of the Almighty, opposite the Harmindar Sahib (Golden temple), again this was a sign of bringing together spiritual and temporal powers. In December, 1634 Guru Hargobind Sahib fought a fierce battle against Mughal forces near the river Beas, although heavily outnumbered Guru Ji was victorious. Guru Sahib Ji decided to stay for a while, and soon a settlement grew up. The settlement expanded into a town which became known as Sri Hargobindpur (-pur, being a suffix for place of). As the conflict with the Mughals was intensifying the towns defences were fortified. In fact, these fortifications were so solid that the original city walls and many buildings within are still visible today throughout Sri Hargobindpur Residents of all faiths flocked to the Guru and perceived themselves as heirs to the sixth Guru’s desire to found a secure and secular home on the banks of the Beas. The Sikhs built themselves a Gurdwara (Sikh temple) but the local Muslims did not have the capacity to build themselves a place of worship. They came to the Guru and asked him for help. The All Knowing Guru was equally comfortable with Muslim faqirs and Hindu sadhus and saw all people with one benevolent gaze. Guru Sahib Ji ordered his Sikhs to start construction of a maseet (mosque). The maseet was duly completed and handed over to the Muslims. With the turmoil of the partitioning of India in 1947, the mosque fell into a state of neglect and disrepair. In time the care of the masset fell into the hands of a group a Nihang Singhs who installed the Sikh scriptures Guru Granth Sahib. For many years, the mosque was maintained by the Nihangs. In February 8th, 2003 a “Memorandum of Understanding” (MoU) was signed by Baba Kirtan Singh the chief of the Nihangs, the Sikh caretakers of the mosque, and the Punjab Waqf Board. It was Baba Kirtan Singhs desire that Muslims perform their prayers at the mosque which was gifted to them. As per the wishes of Baba Kirtan Singh, five saplings were planted in the names of the Sikh Gurus. Dr Mohammad Rizwanul Haque, Punjab Waqf Board Administrator, described the MoU as an international event which would pave the way for strengthening communal harmony in the country. The mosque was in a state of disrepair and work began on its restoration by a group of Sikhs and Muslims in a unique manifestation of India's multi-religious society. Sikhs offered their labour, Muslim masons repaired the walls and an all-woman team of restorers led by Ms Gurmeet Kaur Rai lent its expertise. The entire village, and even those from the surrounding areas, answered Rai's call for clearing the earth around the shrine. Hundreds of school children and Nihangs did the spadework. Today the mosque stands elevated. "We will now try and remove all later additions, like cement, plaster and white-wash from the brick structure, and then apply lime paste plaster, which will allow the building to breathe," said Rai. The work was finally completed on March 23rd, 2004. ''The performance of Muslim religious prayers in the mosque after 55 years would be recorded in history as an event when Sikhs showed so much magnanimity towards Muslims,'' said Dr Mohammed Rizwanul Haque. In a similar event a year ago Sikhs of Chahar Mazra village in Ropar District built a mosque for their Muslim neighbours. Sant Varyam Singh, who heads Vishwa Gurumat spiritual mission in the adjacent Ratwara Sahib village, built the mosque for the Muslims of the area. The first prayers were offered in March last year. After the prayers there were heart-warning scenes of celebrations and Muslims embracing their Sikh brethren. The Guru’s civic plan reflected this understanding of the concept of God having multiple names but being one entity as the town includes gurdwaras, temples and a mosque. Even today, the people of Sri Hargobindpur visit all these places frequently and freely, regardless of their religious affiliations.

  47. in the case of the Sakhi Guru Sahib didn't just build it randomly. He was approached by Muslims for some money to build it, so Guru Sahib did Build it. No one was ever turned away by Guru Sahib. Even Baba Ram Rai, whom the Sikhs were forbidden to interact with, was eventually helped in his struggles by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. I'm not sure about the details of this case so I'll refrain from commenting on it. I just wanted to add that part in.

  48. First of all, stop pretending that you're a Sikh. It's pretty obvious who and what you are. And since you are not a Sikh then don't show your fake sympathy here about Sikhism dying. Sikhism can never die. Right now we are 57-60%. Not a big deal. There was a time in our history when we were not even 5% of the whole of Punjab's population yet Sikhs came out on top and ended up ruling over Punjab, Kashmir, KPK. During the darkest periods of Islamic persecution of the Sikhs, our people were once reduced to just 2000 souls in the entire world. But Guru Sahib still blessed the Sikhs with strength and victory over the Malech. Don't worry, our time will come again. You should worry about west Punjab whose population is exploding and is set to double in no time. How will Pakistan sustain such a huge population? You no longer have east Pakistan which was economically exploited and whose revenue was diverted to development projects to west Pakistan(particularly in Pak Punjab). As soon as east Pakistan gained independence, west Pakistan's rate of development slowed down because they no longer had Bangal province for exploitation. Now west Punjab which holds political power over the other states is doing the same thing with them. Diverting revenue from Sindh(and Karachi), KPK, and Balochistan towards Pak Punjab's development. Pakistan's scant investible resources, foreign aid are unduly directed towards Pak Punjab at the expense of other provinces. Yet despite this, Pak Punjab's per capita GDP is a mere $1600! you should die of embarrassment! On the other hand our side of Punjab has a higher per capita GDP despite being economically discriminated by the central government for decades and after facing a genocide. Our resources get exploited in favour of neighboring states still we beat you in our standard of living and higher GDP per capita. You have other things to worry about than just the failed economy of your country. Pakistan is officially the most HEROIN ADDICTED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!! According to this, Pakistan also has an exploding HIV problem because of all the drug users sharing needles with each other. While we do have our drug problem but it's nothing compared to what's going on in Pakistan. We don't even a hold a candle to Pakistan when it comes to drugs. Ironically even our drug problem is only because we have the misfortune of being located right next to you from where all these drugs come from. Enough of your lies. The piety of the Hijabi Muslim woman is a myth. I also used to think they must be such pure hearted women but listen to what this Pakistani Punjabi man says about the reality of Hijabi women here: FORWARD TO 20:05 I'm not the one who is saying this, this Pak Punjabi man has confirmed what the media has been reporting since 2014 about Hijabi women in the west who act all religious yet go the middle east to have sex with Jihadis all for the sake of Allah. After having sex they then divorce the Jihadi only to marry and sleep with another Jihadi! And this is only the tip of the iceberg in the pervertedness that the Muslim community likes to brush under the carpet. According to google, Pakistan ranked No.1 in searches for "child sex," "animal sex," "rape sex," "camel sex," "dog sex," "rape video" http://www.webcitation.org/query?url=http://www.foxnews.com/world/2010/07/12/data-shows-pakistan-googling-pornographic-material/&date=2011-04-03 THIS IS SICK! You cannot make this stuff up. Unbelievable! yet we have people like you who live in glass houses throwing stones at us.
