Damdami taksal along with Nanaksar, Sant Samaj lately came in the news recently protesting women doing seva at darbar sahib.

It was all over the news. I will see if i can find the links.

Sant Jarnail Singh Ji spent all his life in damdami taksal- learning, teaching gurbani and doing seva of his predecessor(Jathedar/Mahapurshs) and finally was consider 13th jathedar of damdami taksal.

i have a video of sant ji saying that women cannot be part of the panj pyaare, but i never heard him support that women should not do sewa at darbar sahib. this needs to be confirmed.

the deal with women in panj pyaare is explained by sant ji that when guru saib asked for heads no women stood up and the panj pyaare represent the original panj pyaare...otherwise i guess it would be panj pyaare and pyaariyah...

Sant Jarnail Singh Ji did indeed say that women should not be a part of the Panj Pyare. However, he never made any comments against women doing sewa, be it Palki Di Sewa or Kirtan.

Either way, Panthic Rehat Maryada has already stipulated that women can be a part of the Panj Pyare.

In my Guruwara there is no objection to women, women do sewa, they are Granthis, they say Bole Sooo Nihaalll...... on speaker, they are part of the panj pyare, I never realized how lucky I am to have such a Gurudwara near me. :nihungsmile:

To hell with the SGPC, they are outdated and have no future in sikhi. Take a look a the recent headlines about this so called sikhi group, they are all a bunch of f--k ups.

Our future is in our youth and finding new sikhs in other cultures and races, also existing sikhs who want more. No, the SGPC is no longer a reliable leader or a good group to look up to. I'm sure i'm not alone that thinks this way.
