Try any good expensive brand ($8+) but get the SOFT HOLD instead of HARD Hold.

lol, welll ermmm... i dun even have a beard (im a girl) but i used 2 use gel n stuff on my vaal, n u shdn't really b usin it....ur dhaari shud be free flowin one of my frends used2 gel his...go with the advice given, soft hold, cuz my frend yeh, he used maximum hold or summin like that...and at the end of the day he had ROCK HARD SOLID CURLS from his face!!!

i personally don't recommend gel as it makes your beard really hard..and it gets dry and starts flaking...and if you're wearing a black shirt of a suit jacket...it'll show..

i would recomend alberto european maximum hold mousse...it works nicely...and doesn't make your beard hard...but easy to tie or keep in place...
