no no no no!!! they said to no put up with peope slapping you. Your sword is for self defence. maybe you guys getting me wrong. believe what you wanna believe, celebrate what you wanna celebrate.

How can I when you keep bringing other things into the discussion, which I need you to clarify further? Look, at the end of the day, nothing personal, but I just can't help laughing. <_<

For the record, not once did I ever tell you whether I celebrate Christmas or not. I did it like that on purpose.

for the record did i ask you if you celebrated it? i asked why celebrate it period! (if you sikh)

so just answer the question, why should sikhs celebrate christmas. and all said was that its pointless for us to celebrate it from the very beginning

number one. about jesus sayin turn the other cheek

this is what gurbani says

yeah my point went a bit far aswell,

But just live with it...we're in western countries..LET'S JUST JOIN IN THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT. lool :D

Lets not be so narrow minded.

How many Christians in India celebrate Vasakhi?

However, India is Hindu majority so they'd probably celebrate holi...

babbar shere....

you're right...YOU should NOT celebrate christmas...in fact you shouldn't be celebrating ANYTHING...

my brother you NEED to READ our GURMAT ITHAAS....

U serious?! or r u being sarcastic - coz by going to the Gurdwara for huge kirtan darbars on Vasakhi etc. we are celebrating it.

Is there a topic you guys don't fight over? hahah

Er yeah - that would be a no <_<

My family celebr8 x-mas but the only reason i hate it is because my cousins eat meat and their dad drinks nd then the little one goes shoutin jakaras whilst ppl r eatin meat nd drinking. And I don't see what to celebrate - ok Jesus was really important nd I show respect but I don't wanna celebrate it.

Plus it's just an excuse to make me fat :D :)

^^^ baba ji, what do you think that tuk means?

i would think it means, treat hositilty with humility

obviously if some1 is beating u to a bloody pulp, u defend urself

but the concept is, be humble, hitting back, is almost always in pride

i remember reading about a singh from bhai sahib randhirs singhs times, he was at a train station, and he was lost in samadhi, so was rooted to one spot for several minutes. when a condunctor came, he said you are holding up a que, get out of the way, because the singh was in samadhi he didnt hear the conductor.

the conductor then slapped the singh, the singh came out of samadhi and apologised to the conductor, (i think he touched his feet, cant remember)

yea and thats not what i meant, that when somebody does anything to you, you just go and kill em. thats not what my point was...maybe i didnt clarify it the first time...i was trying to justify that sikhy is totally different faith then others in the world. totally different.
