I'm not a homophobic but LGBT people are creepy! In fact many are just disturbing!

When you see those videos, I know there are these types in our side of Punjab as well but not to the same extent.

There are elements of Punjabi culture that us post-partition Punjabis are not familiar with because we are not exposed to the muslim part of Punjabi culture which would have been familiar to our grandparents.

I think we have an image of Punjab being a clean and wholesome compared to the "decadent" west but clearly there is a lot of decadence in Punjabi culture.

This is non-western decadence.

I imagine pre-partition (in grandparents generation or even great-grandparents generation) where a bunch of lads from Jalandhar get on a train to go to Lahore to check out Heera Mandi like some boys would go to Soho for the peep shows.

I remember my mum telling me once that someone gave her family a calendar with a courtesan dancer on it and her grandmother got rid of it because in those days courtesans were seen as prostitutes and quite smutty.

It seems that the muslim part of Punjabi culture is filthier and seedier than the Sikh or even Hindu part of Punjabi culture.

They'd be at home in the West paving the way 'forward'. One competent leader acting upon Shariah and this evil need be a thing of the past.

In pakistan trannys are major fetish! and these trannys are sexualized and have fake t1ts!  they do mujras.   It clearly is a strange sexual orientation that seems to exist in Pak. its disgusting!  In India Punjab trannys are not sexualized neither do they do mujra or have fake t1ts! they basically beggars.

tbh i don't think there even was anything known as "punjabi culture"  most of Punjabi culture was influenced by the invaders from central asia and afghanistan. Thats where all this mujra and tranny fetish comes from. All the vulgarity comes from the invaders. What is punjabi architecture? no such thing, what is Punjabi clothes? salwar kameez which is afghan. Punjabis were suppressed and enslaved for 1000 years there was no time or freedom of expression to create our own culture.

In India Punjab i think the likes of Chamkila, Mohd Sadiq were like the last remains of this once vulgar culture, India Punjabi culture is a lot more "clean" than what it used to be. While in Pak Punjab they still stuck in time and have the Punjabi culture of the past.

The new Punjabi culture the songs, dancing etc are recent, its silly stuff but far far cleaner and more family friendly than what Punjabi culture once was!  Men and women are a lot more decent now, and the "culture" is a lot more family friendly.

in Punjab I'v had the very very unpleasant experience of old Punjab men in their 70s, 80s talk about seedy stuff!  cracking jokes about male and females genitals and positions! absolutely shocking!

Boys have a lot more sharam now in Punjab than they once used to

Pak Punjab on the other had is as vulgar and filthy as ever!

You know these mujra girls even do shows in the UK? they come to the town i live in!  I can imagine a dark dingy room with some <banned word filter activated> on stage and the audience sitting there with their hands in their salwars!

In the paki school i went to the guys used to say how the married men with children in the UK go to pak and sleep with prostitutes there.

Pakistan has the highest volume of internet searches for gay pornography despite being one of the least tolerant countries when it comes to homosexuality.

The most searches for terms related to same-sex acts came from a conservative stronghold, the city of Peshawar, rather than major cosmopolitan cities such as Lahore and Karachi, according to analysis of Google trends by Mother Jones.

Pakistan was given a rating of 100 by the search engine for having the highest search traffic for the pornography terms.

Global acceptance of homosexuality

Gay sex is illegal in the Islamic country and carries a sentence of two to ten years in prison if caught.

This week, the Pew Research Center revealed figures for the places that are most intolerant of homosexuality from a survey of 39 countries.

Only two per cent of Pakistanis surveyed said 'yes' to the question: 'Should society accept homosexuality?'

Other countries who showed a low tolerance for homosexuality included Nigeria, with 1 per cent approval, Tunisia at 2 per cent, while Ghana, Senegal, Egypt, Jordan and Indonesia showed only 3 per cent approval.

Spain showed the highest acceptance of homosexuality at 88 per cent, followed by Germany at 87 per cent, the Czech Republic and Canada at 80 per cent, Australia at 79 per cent, France at 77 per cent and Britain at 76 per cent.

One expert on Pakistani minorities told Mother Jones that highly observant Muslim men are known to have physical relationships with other men - but do not consider themselves gay.

'The real love they can have that most of us find with a partner, they find with men,' said former Pakistani politician Farahnaz Ispahani, now at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.

'They mostly see their wives as the mother of their children.'

She said an increase in religious extremism could explain the popularity of gay porn.

'Hindus are being forced to convert, Christians are being burned alive - there's very little personal safety for those seen as "the other". So what do [gay Pakistanis] do? They turn to pornography because they can't live their lives openly.'

Pak Punjab seems to be on the extremes as in they are extremely religiously pious or extremely sexual/sinful .

Maybe the extremities causes this peversion.

It seems that they are not a particularly healthy society.

If you suppress something extremely it then causes some weird letting off steam elsewhere.

I am not sure what kind of interaction there is between males and females there. The peversion seem to be more apparent when there is a lot of segregation.

Laws without implementation are the same as not having any laws, I don't understand why I have to spell everything out for you guys.

if shariah laws are so low as to deny humanity of the female part of society maybe it is not a suitable system to implement anywhere.
