I've been to many different places of worship in India, and honestly the Gurdware are the most clean and hygienic. The sewadars at the Gurdware are much more polite than the sewadars at mandirs and darghas.

When I went to baba Balak Nath jis asthaan, there was a place where we had to worship two male goats, touch their feet and bow down to them, and then we stood facing them while the pandit did some kind of ardaas. The goats didn't care, they were just munching on grass. The problem was that there was goat poo everywhere! and I was bare feet, standing on goat poo and wee!

Muslim graves are no different! I've been to this very popular one in Una, Himachal Pradesh. Its a place of worship so your obviously not wearing shoes, and you just don't know what your standing on half the time! At this place everyone was pouring oil over some shrine, and the whole floor was oily, muddy, and dirty. Then we had to tie strings to flags and make a prayer. The old man who was in charge of the flags was so rude, lmao, he was shouting at everyone! He had a go at my mum as well and my nani! my mum got really angry  lol!    But that's how the sewadars at these places talk to you!

I've been to a gau shalla near my mums pind in banga with my mama from Canada. It was really clean! I was surprised. The cows were very healthy, we fed them. But the pujari running the place was a nob. He was sat there on a chair, slouching back, legs wide open and arms folded. He signaled my mama with his hand to walk towards him and bend forward so he could put a sloppy red mark on his forehead. The pujari then looked at me, as in "its your turn now"  I looked at my mama, and my mama knew I was very annoyed, he had the "please don't something stupid" look on his face lol. I then looked at the pujari and he was sat there waiting for me to go over, and I did! out of respect for the place and customs in the place!  such a rude and egoistical man, It was as if he wanted us to be thankful, when we were the ones that donated several sacks of food for his cows!

Don't know why so many people still go to these places.

Gurdware are so much more hygienic in India, and the sewadars are polite as well.

Before going India I read reviews for tourist attractions, and most famous mandirs and mosques have people complaining that these places are very unhygienic.

Lack of hygiene is a huge problem in India.

Here in rajasthan too Gurdwara Sewadar/ Gyanis  are Good and Talk Sweetly no doubt But most of them are Hippy Extreme Liberal in nature

When I was 11 year old My Friend Mohit khanchandani Visited Gurdwara To ask how to Became amritdhari sikh...

Our gyani told Him..There is no need to take amrit u can Follow Sikhi By heart Just Follow GUru granth Sahib it is not necassary To Take amrit or Keep kesh to became sikh...I was small So I also Thought He is saying right

But now after 6 year i Realized How Wrong he was..

In 2016 my freind Shifted to gurgaon ( haryana)... There Gurdwara Told him Hair Importance

I met him In 2018 he is now Full Keshdhari sikh 😀+ his parents too

Yeah unfortunately most Gurdware these days are ultra leftist.

When someone from another faith comes to a Gurdwara seeking spiritual guidance (many do) then it is the granthis duty to give them naam!  If someone from another faith has come to a Gurdwara for spiritual guidance, then that's because their soul has pulled them there, it is what their soul wants. But what do the granthis do? they tell them to go away and continue reading gaytri mantra or continue reciting the Quran!    That is very unjust of them!   Their soul is craving more, that is why they find themselves drawn towards Sikhi.

Its unfortunate Sikhs fail to give naam and Sikhi to non-Sikhs that come looking for it.

Whenever non-Sikhs came to the Gurus for spiritual guidance, our Gurus gave them naam and Sikhi.

I spoke to a younger relative of mine in india who's currently training / on a placement in the medical profession, and she says the Indian media is causing hysteria. Apparently, it's like as if a switch has been flipped and they seem to be going all-out with a particular narrative. There are obvious problems but they've always been there since the outbreak started. Quite interesting from someone on the front line. I don't think she's a desh bhagat defending Modi. 😅😂

The Indian media do seem to be going in pretty hard this time (which is saying something, they always take the smallest news story and blow it out of proportion), saying that, when the pandemic hit here in the UK there was a certain narrative being driven by the news channels here (especially the BBC), i stopped watching the news after a few day's because it was affecting my mental health more than any pandemic could, if you're fed the same narrative again and again you start to believe it.

India's in a bad state, they need to accept the help being given to them and put aside their huge ego of wanting to be a world superpower and put their people first for a change.

    • https://ommcomnews.com/india-news/offensive-photo-shoot-at-kartarpur-annoys-sikh-community Offensive Photo Shoot At Kartarpur Annoys Sikh Community   Offensive Photo Shoot At Kartarpur Annoys Sikh Community By OMMCOM NEWS On Nov 29, 2021    Share New Delhi:  A clothing brand recently came under fire after an alleged photo shoot at the Kartarpur Gurdwara in Pakistan. In the shoot, a Lahore-based model can be seen bareheaded, posing for the camera, compromising the sanctity of the place, Express Tribune reported. Pakistan Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry and members of the Sikh community expressed annoyance over the fashion photoshoot at the Kartarpur shrine, Pakistan Observer reported. Chaudhry slammed the designer and the model for the photoshoot. “The Designer and the model must apologise to Sikh Community #KartarPurSahib is a religious symbol and not a Film set,” he wrote on Twitter. Manjinder Singh Sirsa, the President of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management committee, also condemned the act, calling it “desecration”. “Pakistan court issued arrest warrant of star who did dance video at Mosque; same must be done against this woman from Lahore as an example of treating all religion at par.” “Otherwise, any talk of respect for Sikhism is hollow,” he said. In another tweet, Sirsa commented: “Such behaviour and act at the pious place of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji is totally unacceptable! Can she dare to do the same at her religious place in Pakistan? Imran Khan and the government of Pakistan should take immediate action to stop this trend of treating Sri Kartarpur Sahib as a picnic spot by Pakistani people.” Meanwhile, the clothing brand, Mannat, has issued a clarification on the matter. The Instagram page has since removed the controversial posts and released a statement, the report said. “The pictures posted on our accounts are NOT part of any shoot done by Mannat Clothing. These pictures were provided to us by a third-party (blogger) in which they were wearing our dress. Please note that Mannat has absolutely NO role in deciding how and where the pictures were taken,” the statement read. “However, we accept our mistake that we should not have posted this content and we apologise to every single person who was offended by this. All the holy places are very sacred to us.” “The pictures and posts have been removed from all our media channels. Again, we apologise wholeheartedly for hurting the public sentiment. Believe us when we say we had no such intention.” On the other hand, Pakistan Punjab Police in a statement said that they are investigating all aspects related to this incident and strict legal action will be taken against those responsible. “Management of the concerned brand & model are being investigated. Worship places of all religions are equally respectable,” reads the statement, as per the report.
