sorry for little off topic, admin if they wish to they can split this topic with my post but since we are discussing on beadi of maharaj. I like to post my thoughts on this: I wanted to know from R4G campaigners and others- what constitutes an beadhi of maharaj? is it an malice intention or difference of opnions in both - maryada or way of looking at things. I beleive strictly malice intentions constitutes an beadhi of maharaj. Ignorance/sharda/firm beleive in satguru purifies everything from brothels to banquet hall upon arrival does not constitute as beadhi of maharaj. We all can agree taking maharaj to where sharab/taboacco is distributed intentially despite of pe…

Vaahiguroo jee kaa Khalsaa!!! Vaahiguroo jee kee Fathe!!! Sad sangat jee, lets have a serious debate on this issue. There are many of us who will shout the term "BEADBI!!!" at a drop of a hat without knowing what's going on with a situation. There are alot more of us that will jump on the BEADBI bandwagon without knowing anything about an issue and there are even more of us that will talk about BEADBI and actually do nothing about it. So first of all, decide which category you fall into. If you're in the first then I'm afraid you are the source of fake text messages an emails that get spammed across sikh websites and emails. You manage create havok and cause a huge am…

This has probably been discussed before. I have read lots of comments where references made to Sikh - such as a sikh would not do this or would not do that. Does a sikh have to be amritari. Does a male sikh have to wear a turban. Apply with the 5 k's etc. Myself I don't have any distingusihing features that I'm a sikh to another person. BUT in my heart, my pull towards god is strong. I do part, naam jaap as much as I can, do seva as much as I can, I don't drink, smoke, eat meat etc (strict veg). But if another singh with turban is stood next to me then he is looked on as the superior in sikhism than myself, even though he does non of the good thinks I do. So if I…

Waheguru ji ka khalsa, waheguru ji ki fateh jio I put up the following comment in another thread, but no one has answered the question, instead it got 'hijacked by ppl calling others terrorists etc" so i would like to raise the post again. When the Nangs first started doing their parchar in uk in 99, they would say it's onlyokay to eat maas in war times, the same Nangs now eat maas as part of their daily food intake. now they are saying one can have sharab in times of war, i wonder if 4 yrs down the line ,they will all be in the pub everynight? the main qestion is "What defines times of war" Okay the spirtual war is ongoing for everyone in controlling their mind and …

I see all these 'fake' babe and those who call themselves Sikhs trying to corrupt or ridicule the Khalsa and the Sikh way of Life. I remember about many such occurrences back in the past, stretching from (at least) Guru Arjan Dev Ji's time onwards. During all this time, what did the Guru do about such people? My understanding is that the Guru in his 6th, 7th and 8th form deliberately did not write Gurbani because of what was happening, with fake gurus trying to take the Throne of Maharaj and writing fake bani. But what else was done?

Who did Sikhs believe in, or what did Sikhs believe in before the coming of Guru Nanak? This question was asked by a friend of mine to me, and it did get me thinking but I failed to have an answer. My friend being a muslim had said that before the prophet mohammed was about, they used to believe in Judaism and Christianity, etc etc. Since Sikhism is not every old, before Sikhism arrived, is there anything that Sikhs believed in; also can anyone provide any information of how the fist human beings came into existence who began the growth of humans?

I got an email from Sikh Coalition this morning. Here are comments from several American online posters on 3 different message boards. http://www.topix.net/forum/source/newsday/TMKOKB8I0H5A0LQHL http://www.hoboken411.com/?p=10378&cp=2#comments http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=161_1201890603 What I find particularly disturbing is that 6 and a half years after 9/11, a good number of Americans still have no idea about who Sikhs are and what the turban means to Sikhs. The way they see it, security aboard an aircraft is a higher priority than a Sikh's right to wear his/her turban. I am not saying security is NOT a priority, it sure is, but all I saw in t…
