Vaheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa Vaheguroo Jee Kee Fateh Jee ? As a family we're fairly new to Sikhi and only started to connect to it more since going to a divaan with my Masee Jee in Canada last time we visited. The Bhai doing katha was really knowledgable and spoke in English. My husband was sent a link yesterday to a youtube video about sexual abuse "committed" by this Bhai Jee. My son has even started reading his Jap Jee Sahib da Paht and tying a Domala because of it. Ive been reading more on Sikh Sangat since working from home as it has helped me learn a lot since coming into Sikhi. I thought maybe somebody on here could provide me with some clarification regarding this …

I was thinking about the existance of god and how we know that the god exist. Following points come in my mind:- 1.if waheguru loves us then why makes us suffer in the pains of birth and death,if i loved some one i will never do to him.or does this mean waheguru dnt love us. 2.why they created so much vikars and obstacles in this world it just make more difficult to reach them …

Satkaar for guru granth sahib
by Guest singh- 4 replies

I was at the gurdwara on Sunday and I was deeply hurt how the gurdwara committee showed satkaar for guru Granth shaib ji, this event has deeply hurt me, 2 things happed so the fist one was, our local mp was gone come, so the gurdwaras committee decided to stop the Katha half way through so the mp could speak and when she finished Katha was resumed, this shows that katha has no importance to them. and the guru words are less important and some MP is bigger than guru shaib. and when the Katha resumed and the mp was leaving all the committee members got up and left the divan with the mp, to me it just looked like they don't repeat guru Granth shaib as out gu…

I've posted this before to but got no answers. Please sangat ji. Need your opinion. I'm on construction. I sweat and gatra gets wet and smelly. Also its in the way sometimes. I have all my 5 KS on me at all times. But I would like to put my kirpan in a sheath, like a holster which the belt goes through. Or even clips on to my belt. I'm aware the gatra is not a kakaar, but obviously the kirpan is. What is your opinion? Just to be clear I wear my kirpan and gatra at home, sleep, shower, gurdwara, pretty much everywhere else.

@KingTarunjot So Sikh Awareness Society and all the brave Singhs in UK who have gone to prison fighting against Islamic love jihad and Muslim grooming gangs are all clueless but you as a Pakistan supporter are to be believed? So Bhai Mohan Singh is just making it all up about love jihad and grooming is he? https://www.euroweeklynews.com/2020/01/18/pakistani-grooming-gangs-cover-up-disturbing-and-shocking-revelations-from-senior-police-officer/ https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/sikh-girls-abused-grooming-gangs-15492360

Life in india 1 2 3 4

I was wondering what would it be like to migrate to India to live a very rural way of life without a single western amenity, kind of back to basics with lots of good people around you and no fuss no fake appearances etc on daily basis. Has anyone else had this longing and if you have what have you done to fulfil it? It’s a very strong longing for me and I just want to return where my ancestors lived once. Please share your feelings and impressions or even your desires or longings on this subject, if you don’t mind. I would love to hear from you. I hope it’s not too much to ask. Thanks.

I have not been interested in doing a regular 9.5 type job.Hhowever but was more interested in business opportunies in Europe. Such as opening a shop/retail outlet. Anyone know or done this or is it to complicated? Countries I was thinking of was Poland, Holland, Spain as they seem to be decent european countries

Hi can anyone help me find the original text of the following Dasam Bani: “He who repeats night and day the name of Him,Who has full love and confidence in God,Who bestows not a thought on anv but one God,Whose enduring light is inextinguishable,Who puts no faith in fasting and worshipping cemeteries and monasteries,Who only recognises the one God and makes no fetish, Of pilgrimages, alms, charities and austerities:He is recognised as a true member of the Khalsa,In whose heart the light of the Perfect One shines.”

Has Kirtan lost touch with younger people? 1 2

I just wanted to make my first post here because this has been playing on my mind for a while now. I feel like Sikhi Kirtan does not have the same passion I hear from other religious musical pieces, and as a result its not inspiring young people. I feel like the popular Kirtans are easy, dull, follows Bollywood/punjabi tunes and therefore lacks originality/identity/spiritualism. I have been listening to Islamic sufi music, Christian hymns and Hindu Kirtans - which I find all sound different and beautiful in their own way. With Sufi music drawing me in the most - even Bollywood adaptations like 'Kun Faya Kun' sound beautiful. With young people, I don't expect Kirtan…

Hi, I was wondering if any of you could help me with this question as it has been bothering me for way too long now. This might be a bit long, so bear with me. Basically, I'm a 19 year old girl who is NOT amrit dhari and not very religious (i cut my hair etc) however, I have always believed in God and go to the gurudwara and pray more than I used too. Anyways, I have committed many sins throughout my teenage years and not so long ago, I did some things with a guy and I am not exactly proud of it.. Now, of course..this regret and guilt is killing me and I do not have anyone to reach out but God himself. However, I seriously feel ashamed in front of him for the "lust…

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh I have gone through one article where some Sikhs believe that Cow is important to Sikhs maybe they are Namdhari Sikhs.... But is cow important to Sikhs???? and there are some Gurbani Tukhs written in this article by Bhagat Singh http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/sikh-youth/22775-the-importance-of-cows-in-sikhism.html The Khaamadhayn, the cow of miraculous powers, is the singing of the Glory of the Lord's Name, Har, Har. Guru Arjan Dev When it rains, the cows always have grass to graze upon, and housewives can churn the milk into butter. Guru Nanak Dev If the rivers became cows, giving milk, and the spring water became milk an…
