  1. People who are advocating using castist last names - here are some facts None of the gursikhs even prior to Amrit sanchaar by Guru Gobind singh jee used last name - e.g. we only hear of Bhai gurdas jee, Bhai Jaito, Baba Budha, Bhai Bidheechand etc. None of the Gursikhs ever used last name after 1699 vaisakhi - Bhai taru singh, sukha singh, mehtaab singh, garja singh, bohta singh .... None of the Sikh scholars used last name - we only hear of bhai kahn singh nabha, sardar kapoor singh, veer singh etc None of the singh sooramy in recent insurgency against evil indian government used last names - Maochal, jathedar Babbar , Jathedar Keonke , gurjant singh budhsinghwala ....et al As to the point Cisco Singh raised - people can't go straight from Grade I to Grad school , dropping your castist last name is one of the first few things (along with shastar abhyas, taking out dasbandh, studying SGGS) etc that people can do while on the way to amrit. Finally sikhi is the science of the soul , caste and ancesterol history belongs to your body which will die along with your body , so why take pride in something so temporal and superficial (did you put in effort to be borne into a certian caste ?). Castist people in reality are rednecks and they should realize this hard fact.

  4. Sathigur Kaa Sach Sabadh Kamaavahu Meditate on the true Shabad, given by a Satguru Thhir Ghar Baithae, Prabh Apanaa Paavahu Remain steady and stable within the home of your own self, and find God Raag Asa, Guru Arjan Dev Maharaj. Above are the words of Sachay Patshah, Sree Guru Arjun Dev Maharaj, which can be the answer to your question. He is telling us that, do the Simran of Nam only. You do not need to go anywhere, nor need anything else. No rituals, no rites, no pilgrimages, no flowers, fruits, incense, lamp....nothing of that sort. It is our mind, which we have to get treated, which is the root cause of our sorrows, pain and our presence in the endless cycle of births and deaths. Wahiguru has everything, there is nothing that we weak humans can give Him, everything is polluted by us. And He knows that, but even then, He accepts our "kachee bhakti". So during our bhakti of Nam Simran, we still our minds, and that is offering Him, our mind. And He, as a washerman, washes the dirt accumulated on it, and thus gets it purified , with the (soap)Amrit of His Nam. Then once the mind is purified and pacified, it does not bother the soul anymore, and releases the soul from it´s clutches. It is like the rat is given mercury in the traps, set to catch it, and as it´s belly is heavy and can not move by ingesting it, so it stops doing mischiefs and lays down, then the house owner catches it and throws it away the from its house. In the same way, once the mind tastes the "ras" of Nam, it gets defeated by the soul. Nam is the only medicine to nullify the mind forever, anything else is temporary. Once this mind is conquered, then the soul crosses the causal region and enters Parbraham region, it is only then, that it is pure in essence and nature, as it has been removed from the phiysicall, astral and causal coverings on it. Continuing with Nam Bhakti, the soul proceeds further and reaches Sach Khand. There it gets the darshan of Akal Purukh Satnam, and merges in it. That is why the bani says: Jin Har jaapiya, se Har hoeeya. Any soul, Sant, Gurmukh, Satguru, upon reaching there become one with Him, without any distinction. Many of our brothers or sisters have that impression, even the rest of mortals, that even by reaching His abode, each and everyone continues with his/her own personality. Which is totally wrong. Suppose today anyone of us reaches Sach Khand, we shall only see Akal Purukh alone...no Guru Sahibans, no Gurmukhs, no saheeds, no Sants....nothing. Why? Because they have blended in Him, they have merged in Him, becoming Him. They emerged from Him, for a particular purpose, for a particular period of time, to bring back with them an alloted number of souls marked by Wahiguru, and once they reach there back, the wonder or wonder happens, nobody remains as such, because all from individual drops, souls; have become the One mighty Ocean. So this is one braham , one misconception we have to get it cleared. Maybe somebody is thinking , one day when I reach Sach Khand, I shall see the 10 Gurus sitting beside Akal Purukh, the other bhagats mentioned in the Bani, or even the other Gurmukhs who have been coming at our human level, like Sant Paltu Sahib, Sant Tukaram, Sehjo Bai, Guru Ravi Das, Kabir Sahib, etc...all of them together like in a congress. That is not Gurmat. The bani says: Sach Khand vaseh Nirankar. There in Sach Khand only Wahiguru exists, so naturally anybody upon arriving there, becomes Him. Is it not that the purpose of any sikh, of any seeker? As long as we do not merge and become one with Him, we are imperfect, we are still in the realms of mind, maya, kal and karmas.....Be it may Baikunth, Swarg or heavens...all these stages are under Maya, thus are transient and perishable, are very much in the boundaries of Parlay and Mahaparlay. And so the Bani tells us, that in order to become one with Him, we should only give our mind, body and soul, to the only one Akal Purukh. Har iko Daata seviye, Har iko dheeaeeyeh. It is moorakhta to place our hopes on any other beings, apart from one wahiguru Akal Purukh. He is the one sustainer, protector for absolutely all beings. If we depend on anyone else apart from Him, we shall never get freed from Maya. Just let us think. Either we are with Him, or we are not with Him. So If anybody past, we worship or show our reverence, what is the sense in it? If that individual soul has merged in Him, then why not directly worship Him; and if that is not the case, and those souls are supposed to be somewhere, because some say that they have been seen, then too, what is the sense in worshipping them, because if they have not succeded in reaching Wahiguru, and are stuck somewhere for any reason, how can they avail us? They can only avail us up to what they themselves have achieved, and surely they are not one with Wahiguru, that is why they are being seen, and not Wahiguru . In darkness only stars and moon can be seen. There where the powerful Sun is, no stars or moon are seen... So let us give our love, faith and devotion, to the only one Wahiguru Akal Purukh. It is popularly known: jaisa dheeayeeh, taisa hoeeyeh. As you meditate so you become. If you meditate on the one Perect Lord Wahiguru, you shall reach there where He is. If you meditate on anything apart from Wahiguru, we shall never reach Him. He is "sarvavyapak", means omnipresent. So if He is present everywhere and in everyone, is it not shameful to place our hopes and faiths on any others than Him? Read the Bani, only His mahima, His wadeeayee is described, that also just a fraction of His inmense Majesty. Why have we created and added so many external elements in Gurmat, thus creating and spreading delusion among the human beings? The essence of Nam in Gurmat is lost, and only rites , rituals, pilgrimages, moortee pujas are the daily bread in our lives... The Bani alerts us by saying, do whatever you may, but if you do not do Nam Simran... then that what you have done, is just like decorating a dead corspe. Singhoo, the Bani left by our Guru Sahibans and Gurmukhs, is a treasure beyond measure. Let us go throughly, and put into practice what it says: Awar kaaj, tere kitteh na kaam, mil Sadh Sangat, bhaj kewal Nam. To end this post, in accordance to the above thread, I would like to bring the following words of Guru Arjun Dev Maharaj, as a gist of Gurmat, to the all blessed sangat: Sun sundar, saaDhoo bachan uDhaaree. Listen, O beautiful soul-bride: By the Word of the Holy Saint, you shall be saved. jo ih mantar kamaavai, naanak, so bha-ojal paar utaaree. One who practices this Mantra, O Nanak, swims across the terrifying world-ocean Raag Aasaa, Sree Guru Arjun Dev Maharaj.

  6. VAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, VAHEGURU JI KI FATEH I say this as a father of two, a husband who was in the delivery room with my wife for both of our children in the U.S and both my wife and I are Amritdhari. This may be VERY different in other countries. I know that UK and Canada have much more familiarity with Sikhs and the articles of faith. Typically, the hospital (if that is what your country supports for childbirth - I know some have midwives and at home births - quite different) will require that you change into a hospital gown. You will be essentially exposed waist down (more on Kashera below). During labor and imminent childbirth, you'll probably be too busy with childbirth (and its related "discomfort" aka. pain) to care who sees what and want that the child be delivered. Be aware that there is a very uncomfortable procedure related to checking for cervical dilation - you may want to speak to your OB/GYN as to what that involves to be aware of what it involves. Lastly, nobody cares what you look like and the medical professionals do this every day multiple times a day. Their concern is to deliver your child, not to perve on you. At the point you are in labor, you probably won't care. Best bani - all bani is good, though I am not sure you want to be in Bar Ras and listening to/reciting Chandi Di Vaar or Shastar Naam Malaa (I say this for your husband's sake, as you may get urges to Jhatka him during labor. Please don't - he has his uses). My wife chose soothing, slow paced Simran on repeat. Otherwise, whatever can keep you calm, focused and remembering Akaal Purakh. Very important is to start reading Gurbani/doing Simran before the child is born. Some scientific evidence points to children being able to learn things faster that they heard in the womb. Your child would have a head start on Sikhi, so the more the better before birth and whatever you can do extra after helps (and you will be busy). My wife wore a smaller (though fully functional, about 4 inches long) Kirpan in her Dastaar with our second child. She ran into a situation where the security with our first child. Basically, the night nurse complained about the Kirpan (was about 9 inches or so) and security told my wife she could not keep it on. She said that its an article of faith, she is not taking it off and if they push it, she will leave the hospital (that introduces the potential for a lawsuit if something goes wrong). The guard checked with his supervisor, who said to leave my wife alone. The smaller Kirpan was also chosen to make it more manageable during labor. I believe this should not be a problem in countries like UK or Canada, but may still be of concern in other countries less familiar with Sikhs. Kashera - keep it on one leg and you can wrap it with an cravat/ ACE bandage around your ankle to ensure it does not slip off. That way it stays on your body and allows for delivery. The personnel are more concerned with free access to deliver the child and a Kashera on an ankle is out of their way enough so that it is not an issue. You also want to have a very frank discussion with your OB/GYN about hair being sacred to Sikhs and to not cut any hair on your body for delivery. The OB/GYN will give you feedback about what can and cannot be done. There should NOT be any reason to cut any hair on your body for completely natural childbirth (aka. no C section or other surgical interventions). In fact, you should be able to discuss with your OB/GYN any of the above and they should be able to accommodate you. Hope this helps.

  7. Really painful to read this. On Gurbachan Singh Talib's book he mentions this: In Thoha Khalsa, on March 12, 1947 after long and heroic resistance, 200 Sikhs were killed. The women were asked to embrace Islam, but 93 of them, old and young, decided to escape dishonour by drowning themselves in a well, which they did. The Muslim invaders, aghast at this tragedy, fled from the place. A little later, the military arrived and rescued the survivors. 10. Agony of women during Partition By Letter Published: October 19, 2013 From an early age, students are taught the basic aspects of the Partition of India more like a chronicle of events, inevitably leading to the vivisection of the subcontinent, without any heed to the true power dynamics and politics behind the conflict and its outcome. The publicly available history of Partition had left some serious questions in my mind which needed to be addressed. My doubts were due to the fact that I had been told completely different versions based on personal experiences by elders who were actual witnesses to the painful drama as compared with official versions recorded in textbooks. From a sociological perspective, no aspect is as vital as the catastrophic impact in the lives of people who endured massacres and rape, witnessed the slaughter of other communities and saw forced migrations en masse. To discover the truth, I interviewed senior citizens from various locations in Rawalpindi and its suburbs where violence was widespread during Partition. As a part of that study, I visited Thoha Khalsa, a village of Kahuta, for four consecutive days earlier this year. This village is located southeast of Rawalpindi, and was home to a very large community of Sikhs before Partition. I have recorded four stories as narrated by the local residents of Thoha Khalsa who witnessed the tragic incidents of that time. Later, with the help of my two Delhi-based friends, Gurpreet Singh Anand and Raj Aryan, I recorded an online interview of Bir Bahadur Singh, who left the village during the disturbances from 6-13 March 1947. No Sikh or Hindu remained in the village after the March 1947 rioting, except one girl, Phagwant Kaur, who was married to a local Muslim resident of the village and had converted to Islam. There are many incidents of honour killing of women in partition stories. Muhammad Aslam witnessed Sikh women jumping into a well to take their own lives. Here is an excerpt from his interview: I am originally from Thoha Khalsa; I was 16-year-old in 1947. We were living peacefully in the village. People were very friendly and co-operative. Sikhs were very rich people as they ran the shops and had thriving businesses. They often helped us on money matters. I used to visit Darshan Singhs house quite often. On the evening of March 6, Muslim mobs from the surrounding villages entered Thoha Khalsa and gave ultimatums to the Sikhs to convert. On that evening, the impact of their presence was negligible due to the lateness of the hour but the actual clashes started the next morning, when their numbers swelled to some thousands. After resisting for three days, the Sikhs hoisted white flags from their havelis. They had only acted in self-defence. But when defeat and dishonour was imminent, Sikh men started killing their own women. I still remember when Bhansa Singh killed his wife with tears in his eyes. They all gathered in the central haveli of Sant Gulab Singh. In the span of some hours, I witnessed the deaths of almost 25 women. It was such a horrible scene. For six days, the whole village witnessed orchestrated looting and killing. While their men fought, the Sikh women started gathering near a well around the garden. It was almost after noon, and I watched from nearby with two of my friends. Some of the women held their children in their arms. They sobbed desperately as they jumped into the well. In about half an hour, the well was full of bodies. I went closer and realised that those who were on top were trying to submerge their heads. No space remained. A few came up and jumped again. It was a terrible scene. They were determined to die rather than sacrifice their honour. In one week, all the remaining Sikhs and Hindus were compelled to leave their native place. 13. I was just thinking about what the percentages of Sikhs who use Singh and Kaur in their surnames and how this differs within the various Sikh communities. ie I Have noticed that The Bhatra Sikh community in particular nearly always ie in 99% of cases have Singh or Kaur as their official surname. You will rarely see that they keep any other surnames. But Ive noticed That the Jatt community nearly always have their family names and never have Singh or Kaur as their last name. They will not even have Singh or Kaur as a middle name. Is this not going against the Sikh faith by not keeping Singh or Kaur as the main Sure-name?

  14. Meerut, Uttar Pradesh (March 06, 2014): According to information Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU) authorities expelled at least 67 Kashmiri students from the University and asked them to vacate the hostel rooms. They have been ‘charged’ with celebrating Pakistan’s victory over India in a recent cricket match. The students were expelled on March 03. “You cannot pass judgments against your own national team,” Manzoor Ahmed, vice chancellor of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University in Meerut (Uttar Pradesh) reportedly said explaining the decision to remove the students. “Their behavior was not conducive to peace on the campus. It creates bad blood with the local boys”, the V-C reportedly added. As per recent reports the police has booked these Kashmiri students with ‘sedition’. “A group of Kashmiri students at a private college in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, have been booked for sedition after they cheered Pakistan during a cricket match that India lost”, NDTV reported on March 06. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister (CM) Omar Abdullah has expressed covens over the developments in this matter. “Have just spoken to CM UP who has assured me he will personally look in to the matter of the Kashmiri students in Meerut ,” tweeted CM Omar Abdullah, who described the charges against as “unacceptably harsh punishment that will ruin their futures & will further alienate them.” However, Omar Abdullah described the students as “misguided” and said they should “introspect” because some of them were attending college on the strength of scholarships from the Indian Prime Minister. The college has alleged that the students celebrated loudly in the dorm and raised pro-Pakistan slogans, which led to a fight with other students and escalated into vandalism and stone-throwing. The students were suspended and sent home almost immediately. Some of them have returned to Jammu and Kashmir and others are staying with friends. They say the college first told them they were suspended for three days, but has since not allowed them back. As per reports no action was taken against any ‘local’ students with whom Kashmiri students were said to have come in altercation. Bolo Bharat Mata ke jai lol

  15. An old article but still very relevant even today Sant Bhindranwale Did Nothing Wrong By Defending The Golden Temple General S. K. Sinha (Retd.), GOC-in-C of the Western Command, Spokesman Weekly, July 16,1984 While fighting against army hordes from June 5 to 7 last, Sikhs inside the Golden Temple Complex at Amritsar were exercising their legitimate right of self defence. This conclusion is based on the facts revealed and assessment made by Lieutenant General S. K. Sinha (Retd.), when he was GOC-in-C of the Western Command. "The Army action was not the 'last resort' as Prime Minister Indira Gandhi would have us believe, decided upon toward May-end (1984). It had been in her mind for more than 18 months". Said the General that when he was GOC-in-C of Western Command, he got a call around 10pm, from 'someone in Delhi' that a decision had been taken at the highest level that the army should undertake the arrest of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. Nothing was heard after the General told the caller that in matters like this he would like to hear from either the Chief of Army Staff or the Defence Minister. This was toward 1981 end when Darbara Singh was Chief Minister i.e. nearly 30 months before the Army actually struck at Arnritsar. "Again, when Sant Bhindranwale went into Mehta Chowk" adds General Sinha, "there was a request to the Army to supply Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC) to the police to facilitate his arrest." This was long before the Akalis launched their morcha in August 1982. Shortly after the morcha, the Army began rehearsals of a commando raid near Chakrata Cantonment in the Doon Valley, where a complete replica of the Golden Temple complex had been built. "Another training involving Aviation Research Centre Commandos, was given in the Sarsawa area and Yamuna bed in helicopters converted into gunships. This plan, earmarked for implementation first in August last year (1983) and then in April this (1984) year, was given up as it had leaked out to the Sikh militants." "In view of these military preparations, if Sant Bhindranwale and his men decided to defend the Golden Temple with all their might and means, no one can, and should, blame them." "You are duty-bound to do your all when you know someone is going to raid your house. In this case, the house was the holiest Sikh Shrine in the world." "All you have to do is to match the adversary's weapons with your own weapons of equal, if not more, fire power. This is an acknowledged rule of combat." "Mrs. Gandhi contends that arms were being collected by Sant Bhindranwale for the last one year. But this was much after she herself had drawn up plans for Army action against the Golden Temple and other gurdwaras." "In December, last year (1983) two trenches were dug by Sant's men in front of Teja Singh Samundari Hall within the holy complex but he was persuaded to fill them up." "This proves that till then no responsible Akali leader was prepared for an armed showdown with the Government." Fortification of the complex, according to SGPC Secretary Bhan Singh, started from February 17 this year (1984). And that also after CRPF and BSF units had resorted to unprovoked firing and had begun converting the buildings on the periphery of the temple into bunkers and fortresses. This action of the Sikhs was a just response to the provocation provided by Government's para military forces. Again, toward May end this year, CRPF and BSF units deliberately fired 10,000 bullets per day on the temple area for more than a week in order to find out from the return firing, as has been officially admitted now, where the terrorist fortifications were located and what kind of equipment they had. This was given a deliberate design to escalate the conflict. No Sikh worth his salt could allow easy entry into the Golden Temple area to any armed force. It is his sacred duty to smash the enemy's teeth and sacrifice his life while fighting. This is what Sant Bhindranwale and his men did. In the best tradition of Sikh warriors, they fought to the last bullet and their last breath. For the same reason, hundreds of men, women and children, who had come to the Golden Temple as pilgrims, decided to lay down their lives when they saw the army invading the holy area. Before this open clash of arms, there were hardly five per cent Sikhs who supported Sant Bhindranwale's actions or utterances. But now the Government has made him a hero in the Sikhs' eyes. Now everyone, including his previous detractors, hail him as a martyr of the same genre as Baba Deep Singh who had fought against Ahmed Shah Abdali's marauders. Sant Bhindranwale's previous acts of commission and omission stand washed white by his making the supreme sacrifice of life for a noble cause. The present Government shall live to rue the day of June 5, 1984. http://shaheed-khalsa.com/defending.html

  18. When i see such issues bringing up again and again, it is always meant to be against jatts, believe me or not that is the main reason of caste talks here and there and the reason is because of stupid fake culture created by society/signers etc. Jatts in punjab are now nothing but a naive people who are living in a fake 'bubble' created by society. If they were what society shows them to be then they won't be stuck in debt, unparta and so on. According to real caste issue of India, jatts are certainly not on the top list. So we first need to learn what the real caste fight our gurus fought. Jatts are on the third spot and it was because of sikhi that all were treated much better than 500+ years ago. Our gurus fought to bring zero difference between 1 and 4. 1. Brahmin (Religous Pandits - sharma etc) 2. Khatri - (business class - chawla, sodhi, bedi, chadha, suri etc..) 3. Vaaish - (worker/fighter class - gill, sandhu, sidhu etc..) 4. Shoodar - (chooray, chamakar etc) I use my last name as singh only but my brother choose to use our family name. But then again i wear my turban and my brother doesn't. So, now to me having him as mona is bigger thing to worry about rather than the last name he use. So, in our society we have other bigger issues to tackle before we waste our energy on senseless issues like this.

  19. Nothing...it's a simple concept if you want to be Singh or Kaur walk the path make Amrit your goal when your ready and meet the condition then by all means use the titles.
    1 point
  20. Fairy tales ?? Go and read some history and tell me prior to the creation of Khalsa and the initiation of the Panj Pyarey, where was the Singh or Kaur surname designation assigned to Sikhs ? It's a specific title earned when you have submitted your head to the Guru the prerequisite is taking Amrit and joining the Khalsa. If you cant make the required sacrifice you havent gained the title. Go and read any historical books you want, and tell me when Guru Gobind Singh Ji actually became Gobind Singh...it was ONLY after taking amrit from the Panj Pyarey that he took this title. Now if the Guru himself did not use the title Singh before taking amrit, what gives anyone else the right to use the title without fulfilling the criteria , which is taking Amrit ?? Hence why none of the other 9 Gurus are given the title Singh. Why ? is it because they are lesser Sikhs ? Certainly not...It's because at the time the prequisite of Amrit wasnt in existance.
    1 point
  21. The title Singh or Kaur is earned when a person takes Amrit, the required sacrifice is that you have offered your head at the feet of the Akal Purakh I.e: complete submission to the path of Sikhi. Guru Gobind Singh Ji did not Become Gobind Singh until he took Amrit prior to this he was known as Gobind Rai. Therefore you cannot use the title Singh or Kaur until you take Amrit. The Guru himself did not take the title Singh without taking amrit. Using Singh or Kaue without taking Amrit is Beadbi as you hAve not made the required sacrifice hence have not earned the title. Just as you cannot become a doctor or Lord without earning the neccesary credentials.

They send Granthi singh to talk to Muslims who have surrounded the village. Sikhs go on roof top and see granthi singh discussing with Muslim mob. Sikhs read Dasam bani shabad loudly while watching arguments from a distance. Bachitra natak Finally they say Granthi has attained martyrdom as Muslim mob kill him. It was a very touching serial. What an invincible spirit sikhs of those days had.

  26. Preetam, Please read my post correctly, and try to understand english grammar. I have clearly written that "had the police been called if there was a possible breach of peace, or a physical threat" The key word being "had"... I have also CLEARLY stated in my post that "I do not know the exact details of the police call" along with ClEARLY stating "im not saying there was a threat of an assualt or anyone was being attacked" but what i AM saying is that we do not know what the person who called the police had said to the police operator when calling the police. It may be that the person might of said that there was a possible threat, or even that someone was becoming very violent or even attacked. Point is, we do not KNOW. And for that reason we can not speculate as to why the police went up the stairs immidatley without taking their shoes off. Secondly, please use your brain Preetam. You quoted that Singhs and Singhnia were reading bani and how could that lead to a fight all of a sudden.. Well the answer to that is, they were reading Bani upstairs, the police do not fly into the gurdwara through the upstairs windows, they have to walk in from downstairs, so OBVIOUSLY they DO NOT KNOW what is happening upstairs. How do they know people are just reading Bani? If they received a call of a breach of peace, their duty to protect public is number one.

  28. In this democratic world, let them do what they are doing. If these people are converting on their own will then I see nothing wrong. However, this exactly shows where we 'sikh kaum' need to spend our energy - PRACHAR. We have dozen of NGO, kar sewa, educational schools, hospitals but NOTHING is done for street type prachar. We need to have system where we spread sikhi to all and retain existing Sikhs in their dharam. I know for fact that in majha region, if someone converts 10 Sikhs to Christianity then that particular person get big fund. If he/she reach certain amount, they will give him land and open a church for them. I know for a fact that in Jalandhar area there is a convent Christian school that does not charge fees if student and family accepts Christianity as their faith. Majority of population is of Sikhs. SikhSabgat members did a project several years ago. Please search 'jaswinder Singh'. This family was targeted by local church and forcing them to convert in order to get funds for his medical expense. This Singh is now working for our news site sikhsangat.org 2hr of fundraising held in Southern California and program name was 'Ignite Punjab'. They collected 700,000$ for Christian Prachar in Punjab.

  30. My delivery was very long but you know Guruji sent this really caring and supportive midwife who stayed with till my son was born. She already worked her two shifts and her shift ended 4 hours before my delivery. She overstayed without getting paid just to help me out. She was asked to leave but she told her staff that God was telling her to stay with me. Waheguru ! this maybe off topic but a similar thing happened when my wife was giving birth to our youngest child, she was in labour for hours and two midwives had completed their shifts, something was not right! So i left the room and went outside and did Ardas at the feet of Guru ji and when i went back in the room an asian lady doctor came in and within in minutes she carried out a procedure and my son was born.

  35. Yes your right, the website looks like it has been hacked or they have stopped trading. They definitely used to sell the t-shirts and immortal productions CDs and clothing. There service was pretty poor though, I tried buying that republik of khalistan T-shirt when they were selling it , they showed they had stock and took payment. Then 2 weeks later they said they didn't have stock and refunded me. Very slow and unprofessional service.

  41. http://allaboutsikhs.com/1900/famous-sikhs-general-shabeg-singh General Shabeg Singh- the great general of modern times belonged to village Khiala, about nine miles from Am Chogwan Road. The eldest son of Sardar Bhagwan Singh and Pritam Kaur. He had three brothers and a sister. The General traced its lineage to great Sikh warrior, Bhai Mehtab Singh who along with Bhai Sukha Singh slew the notorious Massa Rangar in 1740 and thus avenged the desecration of the Golden Temple. The family was was well-to-do and prosperous and had good size of land holding of over 100 acres. The village Khiala was earlier known as Khiala Nand Singhwala. Nand Singh was the great grandfather of Shabeg Singh. Later on the name got shortened. Mother of Shaheg Singh was devout lady but she was very practical and a great disciplinarian. She never forgot to remind her children and grand children that they were the descendents of Baba Mehtab Singh and must live up to the family name. Sardar Bhagwan Singh was the village Lambardar and remained quite occupied with the problems of the village folk who always looked to him for guidance and depended greatly upon his advice .

  46. The Indians themselves have said that they working with the Uk on Bluestar at least 8 months before June 84.Brar is looking very foolish with his line that the massacre was only planned days before. Brar and Khan were used to show a secular face to the massacre, the Indians have no use for them now.
