  2. Maybe your brother should explain the basic foundations of Sikhi to her? Explain to her that we only believe in Vaaheguru, the ten Guru Sahiban and Siri Guru Granth Sahib Jee and all the guidance we need in our life in Guru Sahibs baani. Explain to her that for a Sikh we only turn to Guru Jee for guidance and going to pandits, babe etc is out of Gurmat and is manmat. If that don’t work (as sometimes when families explain things people at times tend to not take it as serious) there’s loads of videos on YouTube Basics of Sikhi channel Gurmat Bibek channel etc. you can show her. I would also add when or if your brother says it to her he should say it with firm vishvaash in what he says I.e. he should also believe and accept Siri Guru Granth Sahib Jee and follow Guru sahibs hukam. I would start that conversation (whenever she mentions the pandit again with ‘eh Sikha da kamm nahi ah’ and take it from there.

  3. TBH i don't think it has much to do with Indian caste system. Its a result of Whites being the Dominant group and then the competition among the rest as to who is closer to the dominant group. The more you look like the dominant group the better your position in the society would be. Thus you have this division of mestizo, castizo and what not and people competing amongst each other as to who looks closer to the Spaniards/Whites the most. I mean i notice the same thing among some punjabis. They will be talking online about how some of them look like Southern Europeans or Persians and how people cannot tell they are brown especially on racist online forums trying to convince whites how they are not brown and look like Southern Euos lol.Its basically trying to be as closer to the Dominant group as possible.

  5. There was a huge number of Punjabis in Kenya. Sikhs in Kenya were doing all of the engineering jobs, building the railways, i.e the skilled work.

  6. Stop marrying these Punjabans and shipping them over to the West. There's no excuse for it in this day and age. You're not getting an obedient, dutiful, demure female from over there. They don't respect Western born guys unless they're complete goundeh, in which case they bring a who!e new set of problems to the table. The common religion between the two parties is a misleading trait. It's irrelevant. Cultural values and upbringing is where it's at. Baba and dera culture has spiralled out of control in Punjab. It's a miracle to find a family that isn't into this stuff. Your brother needs to make her see sense. He needs to lead and be worth following. He needs to stop hiding behind mummy and daddy, and grow a pair so that the wife's previous beliefs, whatever they are, she willingly discards in favour of her husband's values. A woman automatically does this when she perceives her man is worth deferring to. If she's playing up, she's detected a weakness, and she's exploiting it. So the problem of her running around after pandits is irrelevant. The issue is that your brother has been unable to put an end to this bukwaas for the sake of stabilising his married life and home. That's his fault.

  11. Was literally going to comment and saw you already commented this. Apne dont even care about marrying another sikh at all. Like it's not even a requirement at all. Muslims will always put islam first and other things come later. How are you going to build a sikh society when most people calling themselves Sikhs dont even want to marry other sikhs. If you truly believe in something you would want to spend your life with someone who shares the same beliefs.

  13. Very sorry to hear that, you don’t want to keep all these feelings inside. Please do talk to someone you trust and can confide in. Do try to take sometime and do or listen to some paath for some peace. Also, maybe also try to talk to your husband about how you are currently feeling and possible counselling?

  20. Dearest sweet humble Muslim Neighbour, I trust this finds you well and are safe during the world pandemic. just a thought, as we live in present time not 1400 yrs ago and new types of crimes occur and illegal activities occur plus other debatable issues in the umma (like white wine vinegar and beer batter that my Muslims friends hold different views on) where does the laws come for these types of crimes in your Islamic states etc. Are they from God/Qu’ran or does your scholars make decisions on these and some scholars can’t even agree on the same issue and give different advice outcome on the same issue. Just a thought though no biggie. Wu-tang is for the children

  21. Good morrow Mr Singh, although I can appreciate your frustration however, Punjab’s present time problem is the Christian pastors and their sneaky tactics of the less fortunate population of the state. That my dear brother is a real situation that is happening right now and Sikh leaders need to sit together and discuss options without thinking and mentioning ‘what is the best way to benefit my pocket’

  22. these ppl r fools bro we as a whole sikh community should have payed attention to what happened to in the UK to c how these suls behave im glad in canada most of our ppl r woke and wont take no <banned word filter activated> from suls, (and infact its gotten to the point here that we r now aggressors to pakistanis young punjabis call them sullah to there face n have been dating sullian and bragging about i feel its karma for the way they treated our ppl in uk) its crazy that some "khalistanis'' want this crap to take hold in our punjab. i visited punjab last year and i saw one thing that stayed with me. there was a sullah wearing sullah cap and kurta had a axe in his hand and was demanding what looked like nri family in car give him money in the middle of a bust street in phagwara. seen a similar guy walking around gully near gurdwara in muslim garb and hat holding axe and i just yelled sullah at him he turned back and didnt do anything.

  25. What's happening in Punjab is disheartening but what is worse is the defeatist mentality of Sikhs abroad who have basically given up on Punjab. We ruled a much larger Punjab when we were 5% of the population and yet today when we are still a majority of 55% we start threads as some have done on what the Punjab would be like 'when' it becomes Muslim or Christianity majority! There is no chance in hell the Punjab will become a Christian or Muslim majority. There is a chance that unless the Sikh leadership takes action that we will have a Punjab which is 50% and 50% all other minorities. But instead of doing anything about it, we just put posts up presenting a defeatist attitude that will do a lot more to give confidence to the Christian missionaries than do anything worthwhile for Sikhs. My request to posters here is to ditch their defeatist mentality and instead of bemoaning Christian missionaries in Punjab is to help our own Sikhs who are doing parchar in Punjab.

  27. The belief of God is exactly just that: - a belief. To some people it’s the Sun God, to some it’s Shiva, then you have the trinity and some call God Allah. You have some that don’t believe in God at all and some that believe there is something out there. It is YOUR belief and it’s OK; when someone that let’s say believes in the trinity and tries to explain this to some who had an adamant in the belief in let’s say Shiva; the one that believes in Shiva may not understand the trinity theory and the one who have faith in the trinity may not understand the Shiva theory. As long as we can respect everyone’s faith - belief it’s all good. It’s personal to the believer and it’s true to that person. To a Sikh the Gurus path is the absolute truth, to a Christian their bible and trinity is truth, to a Muslim their version of Allah and Quran is truth. It’s all a belief system.

  28. Dearest Muslim Neighbour, When you see their behaviour in the park you can actually see their true colours, why would someone want to debate with persons who are disingenuous, liars, and bullies. I am sure you are aware of when Hijab started to offer out Sa Ra Garvey to a boxing match because he was but hurt that he could not answer Sa Ra Garveys questions on Islam and that Sa Ra was destroying the Muslim speakers in the park. Mr Neighbour, just because inter-faith events between Sikhs and others are not on YouTube (they might be I haven’t checked) doesn’t mean they haven’t happened I am sure you can go a an inter faith events in your local borough (you could even participate if you wish). Further, just because they haven’t happened in accordance to how your would like them and run with your premise doesn’t count them out. Who made the Muslims the judge and jury for inter-faith events? Mate, you are just avoiding the questions you have been asked, that seems to me you are running away. Come on mate don’t bury your head in the sand, you guys claim so much and ask for challenges and debates at least take the time out and respond to the questions. You claim they have been dealt with... by whom on the forum have they been dealt with? Or is it that the answers will open a can of worms? Are the brothers and sisters on this forum satisfied with the answers? They may have follow up questions. At the end of the day mate, you can follow what you want and if it makes you a better human being and that you can respect all persons regardless of race colour religion - fair play. However, if you start looking at others below you and have venom for persons belonging to different backgrounds then something is either wrong with your OR the message your following. A path should make someone more humble and peaceful. Finally, I am not sure what response you want me to say about the Adnand Rashid comment? Great you would pay to see it. As mentioned above I have seen his behaviour at the park, I have lost a lot of respect for him. Anyway me old China, have a good day or night or afternoon. Looking forward to all the answers about Islam, Hadiths and the character of Muhammed that my brothers and sisters have put to you; they would be a good read. Take care of yourself and each other (take from the Jerry Springer show from the 1990s.... Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!)

  29. @MuslimNeighbour mate there are videos of when Annan Rashid is caught in a corner he just shouts and tries to speak louder and calls the person a liar or an Islamaphobe. Hijab and Ali Dawah have also been disrespectful. In regards to your point about how people on this forum discuss how to get people attracted to Sikhi; not sure what is wrong with Sikhs discussing this amongst themselves as all faith most likely have this discussion. Don’t you guys have Dawah siminar and how to get people to come to Islam? Yes you do. In fact I came across a talk (only heard like the first three mins) it was by a Muslim who stated 75% of new converts to Islam leave the Islam within the first three years; the point of the talk was about new recruits and how to make sure the stay in your system. Therefore your point about Sikhs discussing with Sikhs about this is of no relevance. What would be interesting is that some Sikhs on this forum have asked you questions regarding Islam and verses in the Quran as well hadeeths and the character of your prophet (I believe even on this thread) however, I yet to see your response. You guys believe in challenging other faiths and you claim anyone can challenge/critique Islam but will never ‘win’. I would be interested to see your response to all the points and questions made directly to you. Have a good day mate ?

  30. Sikhs do have Inter-Faith dialogue at inter-faith evenings and events. They happen regular in local boroughs. What I have noticed you have mentioned Sikhs don’t come to Speakers Corner and discuss Sikhi at this particular location. My friend, have you seen what goes on there? over the years it has become chaos and many people just want to argue rather than discuss. I can see maybe why you feel so confident about this place when it’s about 70% Muslims that are there, and among them are which are just looking for fights. Shias have been chased out of the park as well as non-Muslims that critique Islam; I have even seen ganging up and hitting of people the critique Islam or question your prophet. I personally don’t think SC is a decent place to discuss anything! The irony is this: you put out a challenge for anyone to challenge Islam however when one does; when one critiques Islam then you throw the toys out of the pram and cry ‘Islamphobe’ or become immature and make personal derogatory comments and or become violent. I have seen this time and time again even by some of the known speaker of Islam at the park. All the best mate.

  31. BLM movement want slave traders statues down and changing names of certain places which have been somehow connect to the Atlantic slave trade. I can feel their sentiments the hurt and frustration; therefore, I applaud they got the government ear and eye here. However, I can’t help wonder will the BLM movement also put the same energy and concentration regarding the Arab slave trade? The Arab slave trade went on for much longer than the Atlantic slave trade, Muhammed had and traded slaves and in some present days Arab countries they still are selling black slaves. I wonder if Black Muslims feel so passionate and are condemning the Atlantic slave trade what will the say and feel about Arab slave trade and their prophet? I also ponder on the fact many African Americans who were Christian leave Christianity as they feel it was the religion of black slave traders and their slave masters religion which was forced upon their ancestors only to take on Islam ironically also a religion of black slave traders and are currently still trading slaves in some Arab countries. it will be interesting to see whether the same energy will be put on the Arab slave trade. My opinion is it will some how be brushed under the carpet.

  32. Best to find someone on same level. Whenever you decide to take amrith then realistically you can only marry an Amritdhari man and at the time and stage although your parents are not supportive of you marrying an Gursikh guy they won’t really have any other option as you will be a Gursikh yourself. However, only take amrith once you feel ready and have the thirst to give your sees to Guru sahib ??

All Sants allow people to bow to them take the Rara Sahib Sants, Nanak Sar Sants, Bhindra Sants including Sant Jarnail Singh Ji and many many mahants. The only sants i knwo of that dont allow this are Sant Seva Singh Ji Rampur Khera Walae.
