I don't think anything is going to change that. From what people have posted from those areas it seems like a deeply embedded culture now.

Both Canadian born apnay as well as students from Punjab involved in drug trade but seems like the ones born here in Canada are more involved in it especially in BC side. Honestly i live in Ontario but i think that BC side is even worse. There Punjabi men are literally killing each other like youtube is full of stories of punjabi gangsters killing each other and those are mostly the ones born here. How did things end up like this? Came here for a better life from Punjab just to end up killing each other for $$$$$?

Another bibi died the other day because her car broke down on one of those smart motorways and van smashed into her. Waheguru.

Personally i dont think there are any social facilities or any social unity among Sikhs here. Its mostly people who came here long ago and have entire families here now and they all have social circle with each other. I dont think there is any type of unity between these people and the new ones as the old established ones remain in their circle and dont really have much in common with the ones who haven't been here long. Honestly us not having a proper homeland has made everything a mess. We dont have any strong power backing us, nothing to look back to for help. Its all messed up. Alot of us feel rootless just wandering all over the world. I mean many Sikhs get attacked and killed by racists, we mourn for a few days and then move on because we just feel defeated in a way for not having a homeland which could provide us a safety net and a strong political backing. We are without any power and voice. A strong homeland with strong Sikh institutions will always be a backup for Sikhs but now we just have these organizations that help Sikhs here and there but they dont have any power. We just go everywhere and beg people for help like United Nations lol. No one is going to help us because we dont hold any economic or political value for them. It's messed up. Its also why people dont take Sikhi seriously.

People die of accidents all the time, that's the leading cause in young people for death. Is it any higher than the national average ? Looks like the weather was an important part in this accident ?

Have you been to Canada ? I have not and don't really know anyone who lives there. It might be in densely-Sikh areas, but no idea what it's like in other places . A lot of Panjabis now have moved to other provinces in Canada like Calgary.

I think the image is mixed ?

Unlike Pakistanis in the UK, where the perception is overall quite negative.

Yes! I personally know such cases. One divorece the other two??? Yet to see. Anything's possible. 

One case was where the girl got engaged then the male side started talking and sending money over to the girl side... 30 SECONDS AFTER ENGAGEMENT!!! Girl's in Canada dekho hun k hunda. Am hoping both will stick to a happy marriage.
