From what i have seen recent yrs and local Gurdwares, there alot more whites, black, Chinese Asian  half's with Punjabi parent that are into Sikhi keep kes, going Sunday Punjabi school etc...some from distance family married goras and they are practicing Sikhs made sure they stuck to their culture, would send them live in Punjab when they were younger and did schooling there...more so then some 'Punjabi Sikh' families who just Sikh by being born into it nothing else..typical punjabi jatts religion 

Idk here in canada all interracial marriages with sikhs ,99% of these sikhs dont care about religion and culture. Intermarriage is death sentence for sikhs and punjabis in general. The kids are just gonna marry the dominant group.

And even when the grown up kids want to marry back into Sikhs, there can be issues because they've been so coconutised.

yup but I have yet to see kids of such marriages marry back into sikhs. Most of them marry whites. There is this half white half punjabi kid who was famous on this social media site called ask.fm where you basically ask people qs. He would become a sikh someday on that site and give people info about sikhi and then other days he would be like sikhi doesnt make sense. It was like 5 years ago and I just realised how most of these kids are just confused people. That kid had mental health issues and would say he wants to go live in india because he hates the culture and women in canada.

I've got a young relative who is mixed race. I don't think he'd mind marrying back in. But because of his coconut, closet-atheist dad's influence, he didn't learn to speak Panjabi and isn't remotely into his dharam.

He's been on some 'dates' and even online ones like is common these days, I think the apneean are interested because he is good looking but then get put off from lack of Sikh knowledge and/or Panjabi traits?

Also, he told me that when asked, the apneean have told him that their families wouldn't mind them marrying out...

Even sadder is that there are apne men who end up with interfaith marriages, getting suckered into their wives culture (noticed with hindus because it common here) This why islam stay winning..

Years ago, 1st time we went to Canada BC was mum's masi daughter wedding. She was marrying a gora, but she is always been gori, forget Sikhi, only thing punjabi left is eating food and clothes. Even names white nicknames they called themselves. Anyway she insisted for having a wedding at Gurudwara, even though was advised by family no point just have white wedding anyway they did have typical Punjabi Sikh wedding. That's 1st time i realized how Punjabi out there are like upper class whites lol. Her kids have sames like scarlet no Kaur...but its no really shocker again they never been into culture. Their parents from Punjab immigrated back in 90s and i guess became very gorified. They live act talk like whites (they have huge houses, cars ) so high class whites, full of themselves. The aunties had hair like cut to their neck indra gandhi style !

They have money huge mansions, lands, cars, kids have pretty handed down the plate for them. They were full of themselves, made you feel very small and constantly intimidated. With their sarcastic jokes and nitpicking.. Most money comes from their grandparents lands back in Punjab too. My mum vowed better next time to stay in hotels then so called 'family' lol

But ya Canada is interesting for Punjabi, wide range either very gorified or panthic but most panthic i see from Canada is liberal types Jagmeet Singh politics...but i guess there isn't much choice with hindus and lobbying in Canada?

Are hindu/Sikh weddings common there in Canada? I imagine that would be awkward with families esp with politics in Canada and whole 'KHaLiStAni TerRorism' unless their the Pro India Punjabi types and find Sikhi 'extremists'

And they say moving to other countries will spread sikhi. These people move to another country,throw sikhi away and assimilate. If we loose Punjab we are done for.

This one time I was at gurudwara and there was ardaas for this new born baby, mother was sikh and father was hindu. You could barely tell by looking at these people if they were sikh even. I dont udnerstand why these people who leave our religion are so desperate to get involved in our practices when their kids are most likely never going to be sikhs? I was not born in canada but came here when I was older. Most of my friends even today are mostly people not born in canada since the punjabis born in Canada are very much like goras and will dislike you if you dont act like goras. Some of them will even look down on you if you speak punjabi.
