Today I wanna know more bout Sachkhand. I have attended Bhog of Akhandpaaths for many individuals who have died. Generally I have seen that regardless of whether the person was Amritdhari or not, the secretary says "Sachkhand nivasi...." Many of these people claimed to be of a caste like Jatt, they used some last name like Dhillon, they cut their hair, they didn't do paath as prescribed, basically they were the opposite of a Gursikh. So now I'm wondering...if these kinda ppl can make it to Sachkhand, then what's the point of being a Gursikh? :T: Secondly, how do we know if someone is in Sachkhand? Is it even necessary for someone like the secretary at the Bhog or at …

Sangat Jeo I have found out that the only way to meet Waheguru is to do Simran-japing Waheguru but i don't know how do i just keep saying Waheguru until somthing happens or something else i am not a baptized sikh so is that going to make a difference will i not meet Waheguru until i take amrit. Also when i jap Waheguru what should i be thinking of. Also can people give me examples of them nam japing and somthing wonderful happening to them. Please give me examples of what has happened to you while nam japing, that confirmed your faith in Waheguru. Also tell me if someone you know that nam japs and has reached the point where he/she sees Waheguru.

http://gurmatbibek.com/forum/read.php?3,3868 Radhasoamis and Yogis claim that the Anhad Shabad are 5 in number and they use Gurbani Shabads containing "Panch Shabad" to prove their point that there are 5 kinds of Anhad Shabad. The word "Panch" also means superior or great. "Panch Shabad" actually means superior or celestial Shabads that Gurmukhs hear when their Dasam Duaar opens up. Below is a very interesting story from Bhai Sahib's life, and that sheds a great deal on Anhad Shabads. This Saakhi has been taken from Bhai Sahib's book "Anhad Shabad Dasam Duaar". It's not a direct translation. Once a gursikh came to Bhai Sahib and started talking about Anhad Shabad. He sa…

Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa. Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh. As a scientist, I have learned that following a protocol (exactly) is very important - otherwise, an experiment does not work. For example, if one forgets to add TEMED to a polyacrylamide gel, it does not solidify (for those familiar with Western blotting). Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji gave us a protocol to follow when conducting an Amrit Sanchar. The most central part of this protocol is the actual preparation of Amrit, which is prepared by Panj Piare (Amritdhari, Rehat-following Singhs) who take turns to recite the following Banis in their entirety: Japji Sahib, Jaap Sahib, Tvai Prasad Swaiye, Chaupai Sahib (up to ...Gobind …

I was just wondering what people think about the Rehat Maryada? I have been reading about it and have discovered that it was written after the Guru's were around - in fact the first part was written 10 years after Guru Gobind Singh Ji had died. It also contradicts one of the main teachings of Sikhi - the equality of man and woman - one of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's main teachings. Should Sikhs be following this code of conduct which has been written by lesser authority? Who gives anyone the right to write a code of conduct - e.g. could we just get together and make one? Would really appreciate peoples views on this because it has caused confusion for me! Thanks Rav

What relevance does the Kalki Avatar has in Sikhism and who is this avatar? Is he here yet on earth, or has been or is coming soon? The Muslims claim he was prophet muhammad. The Hindu's claim he will be shiva / vishnu or an incarnation of him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZYcMu6DSEw&feature=related
