Chardi Kala it can help one win battles or endure suffering This story was told by an African-American pastor at school during mass yes, i go to catholic school There once was boy who did a naughty deed. In punishment, his parents decided that he would eat dinner alone, after everyone else ate, all by himself. So after the family had dinner, they left to go spend family time and have some fun, like they did every other day. The mother set the table for her son, who was to eat alone, and joined the rest of the family Being the good Christian that he was, he always prayed before eating any meal "Thank you lord, for blessing me with this meal today, even in th…

A few thoughts, stringed together for y'all to read :} enjoy. What to rely on? What to rely on? Shortened breath, vision is blurred, Push yourself step after step. Synchronized in rhythm, I push myself forward Forgetting what I've done. Floating away, Where have I gone? Bring me back, I dont want to fall. Crystallized tufts of lustrous white, Awake! Awake! Let me Awake. In, in; out, out. It's nearing, across the placid horizon: A small light; but it's growing -- Ah, how beautiful. All that's left is to reach it. Shukar Hai, Vaheguru.

I have a dukh bhanjani sahib gutka and i have the audio too but i read on the first page of the gutka something about if someone has a disease(rog) they're suppose to do X number of paaths during amrit vela and something about having water in a bata while ur doing it. i just wanted to clear some doubts before i recited this bani for the first time: 1)Does it matter what time this paath is read? 2)Is it important to have the water in a bata while doing it the last question is gonna sound really dumb but 3)If u dont have any diseases and u dont consider yourself a person with dukh , can u still recite this bani? ANOTHER QUESTION Some have said that Asa di // is a…

Hi, I was looking for difference of Sikhi and Hinduism, and on wikipedia found following lines from Dasam Granth. Kindly correct the meaning i need it. In case of correction kindly provide reference. Condemnation of the concept in Hindu theology that God takes various incarnations He hath Created millions of Krishnas like worms. He Created them, annihilated them, again destroyed them, still again Created them. Somewhere He hath created millions of servants like Krishna.…

Is KKV using Akhalee Nihang Baba Hardeesh Singh Welling Vahleh's account again This question is a little related to that 'Santh' question I asked.... anyway: I was sitting once randomly and had this Shabadh in my mind: http://www.sikhitothemax.com/page.asp?ShabadID=501 I wanted to know as a whole WHO is a Sikh? When I ask this I mean like in Gurbanee there are several references of Vaaheguroo saving his Sikh from Maya and getting his Sikh to cross this ocean etc etc (no disrespect). What I want to know is WHO is a Sikh? ~ Is it only someone who's taken Amrith? ~ Does Vaaheguroo protect those that RECOGNISE Him as Akhaal Purkh? ~ Is it anyone that remebers Vaa…

This article was posted on many Sikh forums and mailing lists a few years ago, and is making the rounds once again. Its worth a re-read. http://www.sikhnet.com/Sikhnet/news.nsf/Ne...33;OpenDocument http://www.realsikhism.com/testimonies/atheism.html http://www.sikhsangat.org/news/publish/ame...eists3452.shtml Dear Ali, please help us. We were very impressed with your website and agreed that religion in general is no longer needed, we can all be humanistic and live in peace and harmony. We are in the process of making a website which will hopefully help to destroy the religious doctrines which divide humanity. We were doing great with knocking out Christianity, Judaism…

http://www.merinews.com/catFull.jsp?articleID=130679 The importance of Kaur Jayati Chakraborty, 01 March 2008, Saturday Have you ever thought why Guru Ji, Guru Gobind Singh, gave the Kaur surname to Sikh women? Why did he not accept the status quo and keep the tradition of the woman's surname being determined by her family's name? WHAT WAS Guru Ji trying to achieve by calling the Sikh woman 'a princess' (literal meaning of Kaur)? To try to understand the possible reasons behind Guru Ji's decision, we need to look at the situation at the time in different cultures. In Indian society, the brides first and last name was often changed after her marriage. This still happe…

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH On the peak of the black ridge of the Kahlur mountain there once lived Budhan Shah, a Muhammadan priest famed as a miracle-worker. He kept two goats which, it is said, a tame tiger used daily to take to graze. Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj, the king of kings, the saint of saints, and the saviour of the world and Bhai Mardana once visited the place. Budhan Shah asked Guru Ji who he was, and for what purpose he had come, Bhai Mardana took it upon himself to reply, ' This is the divine Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, who has been born to instruct the world, because all people are engaged in filling their bellies and gratify…

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH Part 1 Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj was ever present to Budhan Shah's thoughts. He looked at the milk every morning and found it preserved its freshness. After some time he learned that Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji had left his physical body. He then heard of the succession of the Gurus— Guru Angad Dev Ji Guru Amar Das Ji, Guru Ram Das Ji, Guru Arjan Dev Ji, and Guru Har Gobind Sahib Ji —and seeing that the milk remained as before, would often say, 'O Guru, send your Sikh to drink the milk and fulfil your promise.' Satguru Sri Guru Har Gobind Sahib Ji, who was Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj himself privately narrated all …
