WARNING: DISTRESSING. Chilling footage captured by witnesses shows the moment an UberEats driver was murdered in a carjacking by two teenage girls.

 

 

Chilling footage captured by onlookers in Washington, DC shows the final moments before an UberEats driver was killed in a carjacking by two teenage girls.

The man, identified as Mohammad Anwar, died in hospital after his car hurtled into a parked vehicle during the struggle, ejecting him onto the footpath.

The 13-year-old and 15-year-old allegedly used a stun gun on the driver, who was in the street making a food delivery on Tuesday, before attempting to steal his car with him still in it, crashing the vehicle and killing him, according to the Metropolitan Police Department and witness accounts.

The unidentified girls have since been charged with murder, Kiro7 reports.

Disturbing footage from the scene depicts exactly how the horrific events unfolded, starting with an altercation inside the parked car as Anwar desperately called out to bystanders: “Call the cops, they’re thieves. This is my car.”

A man on the footpath is heard saying: “Call the cops, they’re trying to steal his car.”

Unable to force one of the girls out of the driver's seat, Anwar is seen hanging outside the car as it lurched forward, speeding down the street before smashing into a parked car and flipping, with Anwar flying to the footpath.

The video then shows National Guard service members, who witnessed the crash, pulling the girls from the wreckage while Anwar lies motionless on the footpath.

In the final moments of the video, one of the girls is seen walking past Anwar’s body towards the car, yelling for her phone still inside the vehicle.

One witness told NBC Washington she was in utter disbelief as the events unfolded.

“I saw all the police cars first. Then I saw the car, and I thought, ‘This must be a movie scene or something’,” DC resident Pamela Johnson told the NBC publication.

According to police, when responders arrived at the scene they found the victim suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Mohammad Anwar, 66, of Springfield, Virginia, was identified by his family on Wednesday.

According to his family, Mr Anwar was a Pakistani immigrant, who left behind a wife, three adult children and four grandchildren.

“He was a hardworking immigrant who came to the US in 2014 to build a better life for himself and his family,” the family said in a statement.

“The loss for his family is immeasurable.”

 

Metropolitan Police Department said the 13-year-old from Southeast DC and a 15-year-old from Fort Washington, Maryland are facing felony murder and carjacking charges.

The two girls have not been named because of their age.

Meanwhile, Anwar’s family has set up a GoFundMe page to pay for atraditional Islamic funeral and to help Anwar’s widow with finances, as the slain delivery driver was the primary breadwinner.

“He was simply at work yesterday evening, providing for his family, when his life was tragically taken in an appalling act of violence,” the page stated.

“Anwar was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who always provided a smile when you needed one. He leaves behind a family, near and far, who cherish, love and miss him dearly.”

So far the family has raised more than $USD205,000.

I don't know, about this I find it disgusting.

DIsgusting  this is a good man making a honest living killed by 2 thugs who chances are wouldnt have done anything good for society other than have multiple children with various men who gonna leave the picture anyways. Atleast Mr Anwar will be in heaven, tragic senseless loss for his family nonetheless

It all seems very odd - paramilitary standing around the scene, all with covered faces, the girls being left to wander around without being apprehended by them, the injured man being left there without anyone bothering to check if he's dead or alive.  

It could be a set-up job for any number of reasons.  No-one seems to have bothered interviewing the witnesses.   The only witness is said to say 'I thought I was watching a movie scene'.  They might just be telling the truth.

Awful. May he RIP and may his family finds peace.

Unfortunately they've already turned this horrific attack into petty politics to fit their agenda. They were two black girls apparently. Last week it was a Muslim /Arab shooter that killed innocents and before that is was White shooter killed Asian Americans. 

There's alot rotten ppl in all races / religions as well as good. Whenever there is something horrible, ppl start monopolizing it, to fit their political agendas. Sad world we live in

If they have security forces with them, which they almost suredly do, they are law enforcement. Other military personnel don't have law enforcement powers except osi, ncis etc. That being said. Nothing should stop the guard from subduing and citizen arresting murder and mayhem.
